Good lord, there are no words. I sit here grinning ear to ear that we stopped in. Servers were so warm and personable and the ambiance was laid back and inviting. When the food arrived, it was every bit as good as it smelled. The brisket was tender with the perfect amount of fat marbled in it. It absolutely fell apart without a knife. The Mac and cheese was hella good, as was the fried okra, and the collards. I stole some of my husband's beef tips and jalapeño beef sausage. All terrific! The key lime cake is damn tasty too. We decided to give this place a try because it was less than 3 miles from our air bnb and it had great reviews. There is no private lot but plenty of street parking. The reviews were right. It is so worth the drive for good bbq. The food was so good. I especially liked the smoked wings and mac and cheese. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable when we were indecisive about what we wanted. The alcoholic drinks were good and definitely not watered down. We wanted to come back again while we were in the area but did not get a chance. read more

Hello friends! The wife and I stopped in here on 12/11/25 for an early dinner. Place is cool, music is a little loud though. We got the 3 meat plate with smoked chicken, smoked wings and ribs. The smoked chicken was dry but had a good flavor. Ribs were tasty and smoked well. Mac and cheese was ok not good but not bad either. Baked beans were ok. They were out of brisket at 5:30 pm. Experience was just ok yall if I'm on this side of town I might go back to try the brisket. Meanwhile the server Alicia was attentive and on the ball. I'll go back yall. Give them a try! read more

Lovely spot! A friend took me here as he has known the proprietor, Ron, for many years and I was seriously excited to check it out. It def lived up to my expectations-in fact it exceeded them. Amazing vibes, food, music, people, service. I had the 1/2 chicken and he had the ribs. Both were delicious! You have the option of 2 sauces, a golden and one that is more traditional but my friend suggested I mix the two and he did not lead me astray. First time visiting on 11-15-2025. My brother drove us here. I've been looking at the page on IG. Food looks good on line and taste better in person. My brother got a 3 piece wings with a potato salad and a beef rib. I got a brisket jalapeno sausage and a beef rib. The sausage is delicious just a little spicy with the jalapeno it really creeps up on you I was given a slice of bread and some pickles. Me and my brother ate that in the car. I got to taste one of his wings it was good. We were given the mustard sauce and the other sauce. The beef rib is delicious juicy. I took a picture of the place after you enter the door and look forward so you can see how spacious and nice this place really is. Pull up and support check them out you be glad that you did. Went here for lunch its walkable distance from my friend's house. The vibe was nice great music playlist decent crowd for the time of day. We all got the drink special very good. I wanted to try the wings but they were not available. So I went with the two meat platter and got chicken sausage and bbq chicken. My friend got the burger said it was delicious. I visited BBQ 56 with a large group of friends last night, and we got there late in the evening. The server who handled our table was on it, though. She got us seated and took care of us professionally, methodically, and cordially despite the hubbub we brought to the space. The food I had was fantastic. The baked beans w/beef and the collard greens were perfect; I also sampled some of the pulled pork drizzled with the house bbq sauce: fantastic. The decor of the place is modern and comfortable, and there is street parking in the vicinity (though that might be a challenge during busier times in this artsy-ish area). I'm not much of a meat eater but I was craving some barbecue and my boyfriend, a chef was looking for the best barbecue in town for our one day visit to Atlanta. We hit the jackpot. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere was upbeat without being too loud and they hit it out of the ballpark with the menu. I'm already craving more. This was a great experiment for a Sunday considering a good BBQ place is hard to come by so close to the city. This is not an overpriced chain - just great quality food, awesome customer service, and reasonable price points. I ran into a minor challenge with my rib tips; however, it was resolved immediately by the GM Blake with a smile. Our server (Kaya) was spot on too offering suggestions demonstrating her knowledge of the menu. Great job today to everyone that made this all happen. The barbecue is really good. The brisket is phenomenal. The catfish is confusing because sometimes it's big squares of catfish and sometimes it's smaller. but I'm here to talk about the brunch. It is definitely the best brunch in Atlanta for the money. French toast was fluffy full of flavor. Soft it was delicious. I also had the brisket. I've already told you. The food is so good! His gold sauce is my favorite and so original. I had the shrimp appetizer with the house seasoning and they were cooked perfect and the gold sauce went with them perfectly. Best Black Owned BBQ in the city. THIS is real BBQ. They smoke their meats in a huge smoker. The food has a nice flavor and it is fresh. They beef ribs were amazing. Brisket was tender and flavorful. Sides were a hit as well. Saturday afternoon service was great. Greeted and seated promptly. This place has a motorcycle theme since the owner rides motorcycles. There is a full bar, music and TV'S for your enjoyment. The owner grew up in the neighborhood. They father, son and daughter were all friendly and were very appreciative of the customers and feedback. Street parking is a little tricky. Just park on the side street and walk down.
