Great food (although pricey) was delicious. The pulled pork was fabulous,the sides we had were just ok. (Mac n cheese, greasy fries, cornbread) however the coleslaw was very good. Great beer selections. John was our server and couldn't have been more efficient and kind. Had bbq productions the other day and got the wings. They were amazing and perfectly cooked. The manager austin took time to explain the menu and even describe the different sauces and his recommendations did not disappoint. Forget the food we are coming back for the service!!!! read more

This is the best BBQ I have ever been to. The restaurant is a little hard to get in to because of a huge median in the road and some traffic but I will make the extra effort to come here. It's located in a small plaza at the right most corner. It can be hard to spot unless you deliberately looked this place up. Upon walking in I was greeted by friendly "hellos" and immediately seated. The staff here is awesome and in my many times being here I have not been disappointed with the service Appetizer: I highly recommend the brisket nachos. The sauces they put along with the massive amounts of brisket make me want to shed tears of joy (for extra dramatic flair.. jk). Entrees: I've had their Ribs/Brisket combo. The ribs were delicious but the brisket was a little dry. I still enjoyed every bite. Make sure to try all the sauces they put on the table. Sides: Smoked gouda mac and cheese is also good but has to be consumed right away bc once it's cooled it gets hard to eat since the cheese on top hardens a little. Obviously not the healthiest food (they have some salad options?) but so worth the trip here. Artery cloggingly delicious! read more

Has for years been my family's go-to barbecue place. We frequented at least 3 or 4 times a month and have always enjoyed the food. On my last visit, for a pickup order, noticed political propaganda posted.The place always had a certain vibe, but it was not so "in your face". The country is so divided and we are bombarded with political views much too often in the media. I don't want to be confronted with it at one of my favorite restaurant! Dining out is a treat; an opportunity to unwind. Would understand how half the population would feel uncomfortable and unwelcome here. read more

Recommended! I moved back to the Gurnee area after almost 5 years of being away. I was checking out local places to pick up dinner last night. Based on Yelp reviews and previous media I ended up ordering takeout from BBQ'd productions. Also I have heard about them from 95WIILROCK advertisements, etc. I placed my order over the phone. I ordered a whole bunch of stuff: moo & oink burger, Brussels spouts, Tetris tots, mashed potatoes, cheese curds, Gouda Mac n cheese, side salad, and sweet potato fries. My husband indulged in the burger, Brussels sprouts, and sweet potato fries while I had a little bit of everything else. The Tetris tots and cheese curds were my favorite while my husband loved it all. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food and will be back in the future. Oh and the in house sauces were amazing too. My favorite was the Alabama white, while my husband liked the IBC root beer one. Yum! read more

If you like smoked BBQ, and haven't tried this place, do. With lots of meats to choose from, they also offer salads, bowls and sides to satisfy your herbivore companions, too. Oh, and did I mention many tap brews and full cocktail bar? The servers are friendly and work hard to make your meal a pleasure. read more

I just ordered food (delivery) from BBQ productions. Very good smoky flavors and ribs and burnt ends very tender. My complaint is the $3. extra charge for the burnt ends. They were good and tender but small and 2 were just grease. They were good but not delicious So I don't understand the extra $3 charge. The corn bread was TERRIBLE! Beans have a good flavor but my order came with two big pieces of pepper and less beans. read more

I've been here a few times hoping it would get better but it hasn't, and the price has always been way too high but this is getting out of hand. Brisket was dry and luke warm same with the burnt ends, the mac and cheese had no flavor, I take that back it had a slight smoke flavor but more like the taste of an ash tray. It was also just warm it seemed like it was under a heat lamp or just sitting for a while, and was not 1.5 lbs let alone enough burnt ends to have made a difference in flavor or the 4 dollar add on price... the bbq nachos looked like they had been sitting a while by the time we got them. Whoever the pit master and crew are needs to up their game the food tastes like it was cooked stored and barely reheated before service. Service was friendly, looks like a biker bar I won't be frequenting this place though. read more

When we were in Chicago, we were craving for some BBQ's & after checking Yelp for some places, BBQ'd production came out on the list. Well, It looks good on picture, so we said, let's try. Since we're not from the area & our 1st time in their joint, Rafael was super nice, patient and courteous in explaining the menus. We ordered the "Chef Special"platter and it was de-li-cious! Please don't call this competition. Brisket was cut so thin it was practically shaved. They had to do this because it was almost jerky. Burnt ends were equally tough and I had to cut with a knife to saw it into smaller pieces. Ribs were actually ok but covered in sauce. Cole slaw had zero flavor. I had to add their vinegar sauce to it. Fries were great. This place used to be good I can't possibly recommend anyone going here if you want bbq. So upsetting. read more

Small place that your can easily pass by, even if you know where it's at... Having tried no less than 15 BBQ joints in the Chicago area, this place stands out! Great burnt ends, great fiesta corn!! Last time we were in there in the past year the place wasn't busy.. maybe 3 tables with customers and two other couples at different ends of the bar. We plopped down at the center of the bar...we waited and waited and waited and waited to be acknowledged. Like 15 minutes... seriously..it was crazy. We said "excuse me" to the bartenders as they walked by us... no responses.. like we were invisible...it was bizarre... after about a total of 20 minutes we got up and just left. A great local restaurant for a tasty bbq'd meal. for me the food is a 4 star...love the bbq sauces...the wings were really good but I can do without the burnt ends...the Mac and cheese...yumm...but the brussel sprouts weren't my favorite. My favorite is burnt ends. Can't get enough. Love the amount of different sauces available. Something for each person and the type they like. Good tap beer selection. Great friendly service. Avoid sitting in side room on a super sunny day even in winter. Think green house. My only other complaint would be lack of sides. Meat speaks for its self but add some slaw on side or some cornbread muffins. BBQ is meant to be a meal of even better a feast. One small side with a sandwich doesn't cut it. read more

My son and went there today for the first time. We both thought that the food was good, but the bill for lunch was definitely pricey. Our server was very personable, and there was a variety of basketball games to watch during lunch. I appreciate that the owner monitors and responds to the reviews.
