Pesto sundried tomato grilled cheese w/sweet potato fries
    Kathy C.

We stoped here for lunch on a Saturday and the place was empty . Nice rustic decor, but the wood & metal chairs were surprisingly heavy, even just pulling them out from the table was a chore. All 3 of us ordered the pesto sun-dried tomato grilled cheese. We were surprised to find that they used pita or naan bread for the "grilled cheese". Despite the ingredients, it didn't have much flavor & was oily. I had sweet potato fries and the others had garlic parsley fries. They were all cut thinner than normal, which would have been fine except that the garlic ones were overcooked. They offered to replace them but we didn't want to wait.

Perfect Paloma And Vegan Spring Salad

Got lunch at this popular downtown spot in Mundelein. It can get pretty busy at times especially at lunch or any time it seems. Park Street has a pretty hard to describe menu as there's lots of cuisines and whatever. Like it doesn't really specialize in anything. That may be one of the reasons for the mixed reviews. A pretty big menu of various items. It has Asian, Mexican, and lots more. That may be a problem. As in they aren't focusing enough on one area. They spread it around too much. It's about $10 for the cheapest cocktails. That's one highlight. Great prices on those to be sure, so we got a few. I most liked the Perfect Paloma. This is tequila blanco with grapefruit and grapefruit soda. As for the food, too expensive. It's about $15 for a salad. The Vegan Spring Salad was the plant based option for these. Good, except they didn't have all the ingredients. They had the Brussels sprouts of course, but no chickpeas which was the main protein. For the prices it's pretty good as far as cocktails. It's kind of pricier on food but not crazy to be honest. The food is okay but it should be a lot better considering the prices and whatever.

I ate here today with my family. The food is really awesome and I love that there is a restaurant like this close to my house. This was our second trip to the restaurant. The first trip was next level 5 star awesome!!!. Today however, the food was cold. I don't mean it was not warm instead of hot, everyone's food came cold. Why was this? That's easy. The place was slammed and there was a total of one waiter. He was working hard but he even told us how short staffed they were today. My guess is that our food came up and sat for 30 min before it came to our table because it did take a long long time to come. So don't get me wrong, I do like this place. However, as I was paying the $100 bill for the four of us and still looking at the uneaten ice cold carnitas taco, I have to admit, that was not an awesome feeling for me who loves eating out as much as anyone. I am giving it 3 stars here for the 5 star experience I had the first time and then a mix of today's experience of pricey cold food.

    Grilled Cheese Naan

A friend and I met here for dinner tonight. Out waitress was so nice and she had great recommendations for food and dessert. We ordered her recommendations. Entree: grilled cheese naan. It was very cheesy and had garlic. It also came with thousand island dressing My friend's Entree: steak tacos with a salad. The steak tasted really good. It was kind of sweet and had a good pesto sauce. Dessert: chocolate cake. It was so light and fluffy with chocolate moose. Not rich at all. My Friend's dessert: chocolate cheesecake. It was really good and had a slight tang. Overall we really enjoyed our meals!! We would love to come back and have a drink at the bar!

BBQ Chicken Wings with Celery Sticks and Blue Cheese Dressing

I Ordered delivery for .99 cents. I was Charged an additional service fee of almost $7. I have no idea what this covered. I also tipped the driver $5. So, non-food charges approximately $13. I will not be ordering delivery from here again. Food Review: The chicken wings were good. The blue cheese dressing was exceptionally bitter, though. The pork tacos were good. The rolls were good, but the chimichuri was oily, under seasoned, and had a pronounced grassy flavor. Finally, the garlic parsley fries were flavored okay, but the fries were soft, not crispy. I feel like I paid too much for just an average meal. Not inclined to return.

Lively place with attractive decor. I loved the smell of garlic when we walked in. I tried the Parmesan crusted mahi mahi and lobster bisque, all were delicious. Our server was friendly and shared the history of the restaurant and Peruvian influences on the food. We will be back and hope to see chocolate dessert options in the future.

Came here after visiting the Friday farmers market. We didn't have a reservation and had to sit inside because the outside was booked for open mic night even though there were many open tables. Unfortunately, the tacos we had were mediocre. This was what the waitress suggested eating. Park street has a good sized menu, but it does seem to be a bit pricey. Nice place to go if you want to sit outside.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, and it couldn't have been a better choice. From the moment you walk in, there's a welcoming, neighborhood feel that strikes the perfect balance between casual comfort and polished service. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and I especially appreciated that I never felt like a burden being the only gluten-free person at the table. (All gluten free items are marked!) The beautiful lake view added to the experience and made the evening feel even more special. The food truly impressed across the board. I had the gluten-free lamb chops, which were incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. Other members of our party ordered a variety of dishes, including steak, fish and chips (which were massive; come hungry!), risotto, and pasta with marinara, and everyone genuinely loved their meals. To top the night off, they brought out a birthday chocolate flourless cake, which was such a thoughtful and delicious touch! I'm honestly surprised we slept on this place; it's a must-try for anyone looking for delicious, well-executed food. Mundelein is lucky to have a place like this. If you're nearby and craving quality comfort food done right, this spot is absolutely worth a visit.

From going to corporate events and hanging out with friends, I've gone to Yard House a good amount…read moreand always enjoyed the food, but never found it to be super special. My food experience at this location was a bit better than other locations I've tried and makes me excited to come back to try more items. Like other locations, there is plenty of parking and interior resembles a more upscale sports bar. Service is relatively quick despite how busy they are and prices are pretty fair for the quality of food. I started my meal off with Poke Nachos, one of four that I've had in the last few months and this was possibly the best of the bunch. This had a good amount of raw ahi tuna (though a few more chunks would be nice) and added some additional flavors through nori and sesame seeds so that it was a bit less sauce dependent than other versions I've tried. The wontons were super crispy and avocado was nice and creamy. The mix of serranos, white truffle sauce, sweet soy ginger sauce, sriracha aioli, cilantro, and green onions all mixed together to create a great flavor. I was very impressed with the amount of flavor packed into a dish that's only 880 calories. The crispy traditional wings were also cooked nicely, the skin was nice and crispy while the meat was not overcooked. The buffalo sauce was a bit light for me, though good if you aren't looking for something that's too tangy or spicy. The Korean chili garlic had the right level of sweetness mixed with a good amount of garlic flavor and a light level of spiciness. This is one of the better preparations I've had outside of Korean Fried Chicken specialist restaurants. For entrees the Ahi Tuna Crunchy salad is one of the better versions of this dish that I've had as well. The field greens, broccoli slaw, and crispy wontons were a nice base with the soy vinaigrette -- but the star of the dish was the seared rare and blackened ahi tuna. Super flavorful and prepared just right, this was better than the steak I had eaten for lunch and again a very healthy way to pack a lot of flavor into a low number of calories. On the flipside, the kurobata pork sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've had so far this year. The berkshire pork isn't super fatty, but just enough to have a great level of tenderness and flavor when grilled. The candied bacon, white american cheese, and house-made blueberry ketchup did a fantastic job of adding some saltiness and just a bit of extra fat (without seeming excessive) and giving the dish just a little acid. The total combination worked perfectly in harmony and is worth making a special trip to eat again. I ended the meal with the S'more brownie meltdown. This was done well -- with a nice fudge brownie that had great chocolate flavor and matched perfectly with the graham cracker toffee. This would've been the highlight of the dish, had it not been for the delicious combination of the marshmallow gelato and dark chocolate sauce. I'm not a giant fan of marshmallows, but this gelato was amazing and tied everything together perfectly. Overall, an unexpectedly great experience from a restaurant chain that I've gone to many times. Without a doubt, I know which location to take my friends and family to for special meals in the future.

Burger has great potential but if they are not allowing us to customize it to our own preference it will fail in this location. It is a noisy place full of older customers that know everyone in the place. Lots of customers hugging the staff, talking with the owners, and other tables. A great atmosphere if you are a local. One of the owners even suggested carrot cake for our desert. Really good by the way. We did see a number of regulars tables that were receiving complimentary appetizers. I get it, but you should treat first time customers the same to make them repeat customers? The issue was with service and how we were treated after we had to get service. Our server disappeared once our main course was ordered. Yes the place was packed, but the server made sure she kept on touching base with the regulars tables and we received less attention. Well like no attention. Well like we had to go to the bar to one of the owners to get our check. Well and when my significant other tried to comment that we had a lack in service the owner walked away from us. She turned a really nice first time experience into a never going back and write a bad review experience. (And my significant other was mad the whole evening, which made the event worse for me.) I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, the staple menu item I order each time I visit. My guest ordered the Mongolian beef. My pad Thai came out visibly different than times past. It looks almost watered down and the tofu was not coated and seared with the beautiful crust it normally has. I ate it and it tasted... sour. Normally this pad Thai leans savory over sweet, but this time it just straight up tasted sour. The tofu was nothing to write home about, which is typically not the experience I have here. The Mongolian beef tasted like it had more sear on the meat than actual beef. It tasted over-charred. The rice and veggies were good, but that's kind of a simple feat. I ordered the Pomegrantate martini which was good. The space was also very hot, I understand it's a hot day and a busy restaurant but my legs were dripping in sweat the entire hour we were there. I will give them a try again, because I know from previous experiences the pad Thai was usually great. That tofu is what I keep coming back for! Hopefully next time it'll meet my expectations.
