The company sent 3 guys to move me out of a one bedroom apartment -- Richard, Sean, and Miguel. I was impressed with their work ethic and positive attitude. I have always been a hire-a-UHaul-and-buy-friends-pizza kind of mover, but I am never going back again after an awesome experience with BCb Moving. They were one of the only companies in my area that was open on New Year's Day, and they still had the best rate I could find. The crew of 2 wrapped all of my furniture and clearly knew what they were doing when they maneuvered large pieces of furniture around the tricky bend in the staircase. I moved with 2 friends on July 1st to a 3 bedroom in the city, and BCb movers - with Jay in charge - made a complicated move on an unbelievably hot day as easy as possible. They showed up on time, never stopped working and were super pleasant the whole time. They had to deal with moving a lot of really heavy furniture to a second floor apartment with awkward angles that made it difficult to get the bigger pieces through (particularly one queen size bed that they did some cirque du soleil moves to make fit into the back bedroom), but they managed it without slowing down too much. The cost hurt, but frankly we never would have made it through this move otherwise and we're definitely happy we chose them. read more

We had packed all our own stuff in rented crates. BCB showed up when they said they would, busted their butts and got the job done. They took care of protecting our larger furniture, and handled our stuff respectfully. What more can you ask for? By the way, renting crates (rather than using boxes) is highly recommended, and the BCB guys really appreciated how easily the crates made things go. Moving sucks, but BCB can be counted on to help save your back and keep you sane. read more

We used BCb movers this past weekend and they were awesome! They showed right up on time, assessed all of our belongings and got to work right away. They were very friendly, trustworthy and hardworking. They protected all of our furniture and fragile items and were very patient when I asked them to rearrange a few things in one of the rooms. These guys are UNBELIEVABLE! As many others have written, this was the best moving experience ever. They called ahead to say they'd be there about 5 minutes early, got right to work & were cheerful & efficient. Shawn & Miguel were just super - hard workers, but friendly & laid back & extremely helpful. They packed up the things in Somerville & drove them to Concord where we had gotten a "pod" container from DoorToDoor.com. They loaded the container efficiently, had to do a little repacking here & there, but they were very interested in making sure everything will be safe & not wobble around in the container (that won't be a problem). Their prices were extremely reasonable, & like others, we were able to use the Yelp coupon. I cannot say enough good things about them. Use them! I know I will if the need arises again. read more

These guys were GREAT!! They showed up right on time (actually called 20min before they arrived to say they would be there in 20 min) and got straight to work. The two guys, Miguel and Shawn, were as friendly as could be and very professional. They had tons of furniture pads (which I had forgotten to buy) and were clearly prepared for any eventuality. At one point I joked that it looked like they were performing "synchronized moving" because each was so in tune with what the other was doing. Within 40 minutes, my entire one-bedroom apartment was packed in their truck, and they came out to Concord, where a pod was waiting to ship all my stuff. After packing and repacking the pod a few times because the pod wasn't quite tall enough for the mattresses, they got everything to fit snugly. I was amazed at how ingenious their packing tricks were! Even though they went over their time (because the pod had to be repacked), everything in total came to less than $400, including gratuity! All in all, BCb moving went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations, and to me they set the standard for how ALL moving should be done. In the future, if and when I move again in Boston, I won't even bother looking for other movers. These guys will be my go-to choice. read more

We weren't sure what to expect when we hired movers for the first time, but BCb definitely exceeded all of what we anticipated. Ronnie and Quentin ("Q") were incredible and made our move-in downright blissful. They were punctual, arriving even a few minutes early. They were astonishingly efficient, hauling an entire apartment down four flights of stairs only to bring everything back up three flights at the final destination; throughout the whole 2+ hours in the August heat they didn't stop for a break once. FInally, they were respectful: both to us and to our belongings. We can't recommend these two enough, and they represent a reliable, organized company. A perfect experience. read more

I can't possibly recommend BCB more! First, let me apologize for not reviewing them the first time they moved us last year. We needed a company with reasonable cost, decent folks, and who could jump through the hoops of moving 2 apartments in 2 separate places into one. Hakeem, Sean, and Bucky to the rescue. Incredibly nice guys, hard working, efficient, and moved us in what seriously seemed like miraculous time! I was impressed with thier organization and just how pleasant and accomodating they were. We also were able to take advantage of the deal they offered on Yelp so that was an awesome bonus cost wise. We had to move again this year and we immediately called BCb. They were able to accomodate our move date (which was pretty close) and lucky for us they sent Hakeem back with Miguel and Ronnie this time. I couldn't have asked for nicer, more professional guys than these three. They were unbelievable friendly, courteous, upbeat, and made it seem like this was going to be a piece of cake. We moved from a big apartment to smaller one with additional floors and I couldn't believe how they got all the stuff in the truck and how fast they worked. They were so engaging and accomodating to everything we needed, taking great care with fragile items and easily taking direction about putting things in various spots. They even put our bed together and re-arranged the bedroom furniture in no time. They also took a fridge to an additional stop for us at the end of the move. Beyond all of this, they were just genuinely easy going and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. They were always smiling, often singing away as they worked, and had a great comraderie that made the teamwork flow (even after hours with no break). Due to these great guys and their amazing professionlism, I would hire Bcb again in a heartbeat! Again, a special Thanks to Hakeem, Miguel, and Ronnie as well as Sean and Bucky! Be confident that you will get movers that arrive on time and know what they are doing. Very efficient and they moved all my belongings with speed and care. I had to move my contents to a storage container since the closing date was moved. They wrapped up my furniture with blankets to ensure that no moisture damage occurred and they didn't charge me for the blankets since I will be using them again to move me once I get the keys to my new place. read more

BCB Moving assists in the move of our educational nonprofit every September and May. The team is polite, capable, and very willing to accommodate the requests of a school program (many stairs, many boxes, computer coffins, and AV carts) even without an elevator. They are prompt and professional and facilitate multiple drop off and pick ups. There were some delays in travel and transport; however they were courteous to adjust the overall price quote. read more

Not impressed at all!!! Surprise that so many people had a "great experience" with this company. Everyone is subject to their own opinion, so here is mine's. I WOULD NEVERRR CALL THIS COMPANY AGAIN TO MOVE MY STUFF!!! I had THREE GUYS and ONE " UHAUL" truck( If I knew better, I would of just rented a UHAUL truck and have three men at Home Depot move my stuff),yet only TWO were doing most of the moves, while the third stayed on the truck. This made the move longer and costly for me. My old apt. was less than 5mins away from the new apt., and they charged me close to $800.00!!! I understand moving from a 3 floor apt. to another may be tiring, but I had relatives moving with more stuff into a 3flr apt. as well, (they hired another company with TWO guys/truck), and they completed it 2 hours less than this company did. Plus the company gave them a 5% discount off the bill. My next move would definitely be with that company..NOT THIS ONE!! read more

I couldn't have been happier with BCb movers. Ghadi came out and gave me an estimate for how long my move would take which was right in line with the two other moving companies that I had give me quotes. He was very nice and professional. He recommended four men which is what I was expecting. On the day of my move one of them had some car trouble so they were about an hour later than they said they would be, but they called three times in that hour to give me updates. When they got to my apartment (Shawn, Ronnie, Miguel and Kiron) they took a quick tour of what needed to be moved and jumped right in. They were loading boxes into the truck within 5 minutes of pulling up. It was raining for the whole time they were loading the trucks and not once did they complain. They were happy, friendly, and very fast yet careful with my stuff. I had a lot of boxes in the basement which has a very low clearance and even after hitting their heads multiple times they were still happy and joking. Loading the trucks took 3.5 hours, then they had to drive them 2 hours away before the unload. Unloading was just as quick. A lot of stuff was to go to the basement in the new house and I told them to just put it anywhere down there and went down later expecting a mess, but they managed to organize the boxes in a way I never would have thought of so all the boxes are in the middle and I can walk all the way around and see pretty much everything without digging for it. I would recommend Shawn, Ronnie, Miguel and Kiron any day! These guys were great! read more

I was pretty much blown away by how awesome these movers were. We'd never hired a pro company before, but for a move down two flights of stairs and up three more, with two huge couches etc, we decided to take pity on our friends, and the whole experience was completely worth the money and about as easy and painless as I can imagine moving being. The movers (David, Ronny and Sean) were the amazing complete package: professional, very nice, fast and efficient. They were literally running up and down stairs, brilliantly consolidating loose items in huge boxes for us, handling fragile items with care, and barely held still over six hours on a hot August day. I can't say enough nice things about how thoughtful they were -- David put down cardboard in the living room to keep from getting dirt on a rug, and double checked on occasion to see what was inside a fragile box. They even found the energy to cheer on my boyfriend and I when we occasionally carried a box of pillows. And finally, they expertly packed a bunch of large framed pictures in blankets and moved them effortlessly -- I'd heard stories from friends whose movers had insisted they purchase boxes for each picture and so on, a huge hassle, so I'd planned on handling my pictures myself, but these guys were SO great they'd packed the pictures away before I could protest, as well as a particularly tall and unwieldy cactus. In short, it was a great experience, and I can not highly recommend this company enough. read more

I decided to go with this company after reading the reviews on Yelp, and I'm very glad I did! They arrived right on time (9:00am on a Saturday), and Rich and Shaun were absolutely fantastic! I originally thought my job would only take a few hours, but I hadn't finished packing by the time they showed up so they pitched right in and carefully helped me package and pack the rest of my belongings. They worked non-stop, never taking for a break (although I offered several times), for about 9-10 hours straight. I ended up ordering them pizza, I felt so bad for them! Despite the long hours and moving all my heavy furniture (including a piano) up to the third floor, they always had such a positive and cheerful attitude. I never had any doubt about my stuff being good care. I ended up tipping them $100 each - I figured that still a bargain for the service, since they worked 10 hours straight and never slowed down. Even when the pizza came, they hardly slowed down to eat a few bites. I highly, highly recommend them! If I ever move again in the area, I will definitely use them. read more
