I could not have been any happier! The lady at three front desk was polite and knowledgeable about the services offered. I had a neck and shoulder massage (head up) provided by Ewa. She was personable and excellent at her craft and then allowed me to spend a little extra time in the massage chair while I waited for Johanna who did a foot massage for me. (be feet). She had a special knack of finding the pressure points in my tired feet and ankles. I do not come to terminal 1 at JFK very often but these services were so good that I wish I did! While pricy, I found my experience at Be Relax to be a great bang for my buck. The staff went above and beyond to service me and keep me comfortable/relaxed above and beyond the service I paid for. With a manicure, they set me up with a great lower back chair-massager while my nails were painted. They were courteous to ask about my travel time needs to make sure they were being considerate of my flights while not rushing through the service. (In fact, I had significant time before my flight and they suggested that I sit as long as I wanted and that they would keep my back massager going!) It IS New York City, and it is a captivated airport audience, so I let the pricing slide to give these guys five stars even though the pricing was very high. My husband and I made it to the airport with plenty of time and decided to start our vacation early with the massage loungers and a gel manicure for myself. Johanna was excellent, and did a great job, but within 3 days two of my nails started to peel right off. I haven't done anything to mess up my nails (swimming, cleaning, etc). so I'm pretty bummed after spending $65 on a mani. Overall, we enjoyed our time relaxing before our flight and it's my fault for not having my nails done sooner, but it's unfortunate to have poor results just days after the service. read more

The employee at the front desk proceeded to argue with me and said I have to wait till my other guest finished their session and I had to use the same chair despite us having Priority Pass allowance for 2. Was also not allowed to use certain massage chairs that should have been included per written policy and overall just given a total run around. It had been a long week, I was looking forward to getting to my destination. It was early in the morning when I landed and I wasn't sure anything would be open. When I found BeRelax, they were JUST opening. There was only one staff member present and she was finalizing opening the store. She asked me what I wanted to get done. As it was just her, I didn't want to keep her long, so I opted for a manicure. She gave me the manicure-services list and what my options were. Once I picked gel polish, she showed me to the polish wall. My manicure was prompt and thorough. I hadn't had one in a long time and she took great care in cleaning up my nails and ensuring my polish would last and not chip. My manicure lasted about 10 days before chipping. I wore it another week before getting another manicure. Now that I have an experience at this BeRelax, I trust other locations and will continue to use their services! read more

After 12 hours on planes (and being too busy before my travel to make it happen) I searched for a place to get a pedicure during my 8 hour layover at JFK. Be Relax Spa took great care of my I even got a couple of naps. Alla greeted me warmly and got me seated until Tara could get to me, I waited less than 5 minutes. I love my pink toes. I limped in, relying heavily on my cane due to join stiffness on long flights. I fell asleep on the table at the hands on Etch. At first, after reviewing my health survey, he had planned to avoid the areas where I was realizing pain. He listened to me, which is always important. I didn't even use my cane when I left. In a world of awful airport businesses, this one really stands out as the worst. Horrible, don't go, ever. No chance anyone here is licensed and my feet were on the dirty floor for most of the appointment. They Charged me 20$ more than what I was told I would be charged and was then told they couldn't do refunds. Not to mention each one of the staff members was their own special kind of disrespectful. When asking to speak to someone to issue a complaint, they gave me a card to leave a yelp review. I should've expected less than adequate at JFK, (or any airport) but even so, I didn't need to be stolen from. read more

Ok, I guess expectations can't be too high for a free priority pass perk. Put my name down for the chair massage, got my text message saying it was available, but once I got there within the 5 minute period they give you, they had already given my chair away to someone else. You can't stick around to wait bc they don't even have a waiting area, but they won't even wait the full 5 minutes before giving your spot to someone else. read more

It had been a ROUGH week for me, and I had been traveling non-stop, coming back from my grandmother's funeral. My flight was delayed four hours and I had a migraine, and honestly was just sad. SO I thought, "grandma would support me paying for an overpriced massage" and made my way to Be Relax Spa, where I met Johanna. Let me just say, she was AMAZING. First, there were four rowdy 20 something boys who wanted massages/mani/pedis before their Cancun trip, and unlike the other massage therapist who was annoyed by them, Johanna treated them just like any other client, and was patient with their inability to make a decision. She lovingly let me get a massage prior to them, and settled them in to massage chairs while they waited. ANYWAY - she was INCREDIBLE - I received a 20 minute upper back massage, she used just the right pressure, and when she asked, "what is causing all the tension" she responded with such empathy and kindness in regards to my sadness - I felt uplifted and invigorated after leaving. read more

the masseuse working here is rude to people and doesn't mind wasting your time. I came in waiting to get a massage, she asked me to come back in 15 min and said she could massage me then. I did exactly that and she was working on a new client who had come in after me and snapped at me for even considering coming in at that time even though that's exactly what she told me to do. She then told me that in order to get a massage I need to get on the waitlist, which she didn't notify me I needed to do the first time I came over so at this point 5 people who came in after me were now before me in line and I've now wasted half an hour waiting on the massage I was promised. I wish she had just sent me away the first time or been clear about needing to be on the wait list instead of had me waiting around for her. Total waste of time. read more
