    Cheerwine mayo banh mi fries
    Kathleen A.

Cheerwine Festival Review! Staff was SUPER friendly and the area was very clean. We ordered the chicken banhmi fries. The flavor of the chicken was great and there was very good level of acid in the pickled vegetables. It was a fun and cute Cheerwine mayo drizzled on top. I do wish the fries were drained from the grease, and a bit thinner. The eating experience wasn't as fun/practical as we would have hoped. But due to the flavors we are excited to visit the restaurant location and have a traditional banh mi!

Saw great reviews for this place. Definitely small for seating. Order 3 beef Pho. Was not as good as I've had other places but still not bad. The spring rolls were good. The total purchase was very expensive I felt for what we got. Won't be back. The service was very good though.

Tried their Cheerwine Infused Vietnamese Pok Pok Wings during the Cheerwine Festival in May and loved these! The meat had so much flavor and the sauce was amazing. Probably the best wings I've ever had lol. We also had the Cheerwine Limeade and it was pretty good. Not very sweet, but I like drinks that aren't overly sweet! There were people ahead of us but we got our food quick. Would love to try their physical location one day!

This place is alright food wise a good place to grab a quick bite. Receiving those burnt crab Rangoon eggrolls was disappointing because usually the flavor is good. I'm really dissatisfied with the amount I received for the bang bang shrimp appetizer. I could pay a couple more dollars and get triple this amount of shrimp from Bone Fish Grill. For almost 10 dollars this was very disappointing.

Ordered a vegetable sandwich wanting a healthy option and it is so greasy it's absolutely gross.

Drove an hour just for the Bahn Mi and it was worth it! Tiny dining area was alright. Decorations were kind of confused I think. Taken in all its a pretty quaint little hole on the wall. Staff was super polite and service was fast. The Bahn Mi was pretty awesome! I had the pork. I was a little confused by the menu...just call the traditional Bahn Mi "Bahn Mi." The rest seem cool but shouldn't have to ask "which one is the basic?" The Pho was very disappointing. Sorry to say as my wife and kids had that so I was the only one that enjoyed the meal. Bottom line; up front: You want a Bahn Mi? Come and get it!!! Otherwise...meh.

Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi & Lemongrass Chicken Lettuce Bowl

Wanted to try the chicken bowl & Bahn Mi & boy did I love it! So fresh. Very flavorful! I would highly recommend ppl to check place out in Salisbury!

There is nothing better than a delicious sandwich. The second @winston.and.reynolds suggested we stop by Yummi, I knew it was going to be delicious! A little hidden gem in Salisbury slinging delicious Vietnamese street food including various bánh mì sandwiches. What is on a bánh mì sandwich - A Vietnamese sandwich on 8" baguettes served with garlic mayonnaise, cucumbers, pickled carrots & daikon, jalapeños, cilantro, and choice of meat (often times with a layer of pate). We opted for the lemongrass pork + bbq pork and both were tender, fresh, and had a nice bite of flavor to compliment the veggies and crusty bread.

    Quinoa Shrimp Banh Mi

Epic AF. We came to Salisbury for some MCM furniture and antique adventure and had to stop for banh mi. Walking in early on a Saturday there was a steady stream of people. The woman at the front was so nice and took care of us quickly: we got two banh mi (tofu and deep fried quinoa shrimp) and tofu banh mi fries. I'm not lying when I say I'm getting hungry thinking about it again. The sandwich: I was a tiny bit nervous because bread has been a make or break for most of my banh mi: this was amazing! Really chewy and held the sandwich together nicely. The tofu was cut small and very flavorful, and the shrimp was INCREDIBLE. Pickled veggies were flavorful (could have used a tiny more punch but that's nitpicking!) cilantro fresh, cucumber perfection. The mayo was a perfect amount and the hoisin (chefs kiss!) These FRIES: ok ok I'm converted. Steak fries and all the banh mi goodness piled on top with an egg and spicy mayo! All of it 10/10 also the giant Vietnamese iced coffee? The best topper to a perfect trip.

Small, fusion Vietnamese restaurant in Salisbury, that owner has been on TV cooking competition apparently. Food is fresh and light, but don't worry, flavors are not lacking. I would order Banh mi and Pho. Their rice noodle bowl is not very fulfilling sometimes. Depends on your appetite, you might need to order XL or appetizer, because their portion is smaller than other Vietnamese restaurant around Charlotte.

I really wish Winston Salem had a great Banh Mi available. There are some good Pho restaurants but…read morethey don't serve Banh Mi usually and when they do it's not quite the authentic version I'm looking for. I had the Banh Mi at What Da Pho in the past and remember it was good so that's what I ordered this time. Additionally we ordered crab wontons and summer rolls. The restaurant is a little hidden but if you park in the parking structure adjacent to the restaurant it's super easy to get inside. First impressions are it's quiet- no music in the dining room, and the decor is sort of an afterthought with scotch tape holding LED lights to the walls and some Asian inspired pictures but not very well thought out. It's Ok, I'm not coming for the decor. The service is a little lacking. They are giving the bare minimum here so don't expect your server to be too friendly. The crab wontons and summer rolls arrived quickly. The crab wontons were super hot and crispy right from the deep fryer. They were filled with a delicious imitation crab and cream cheese mixture and when dipped in the sweet chili sauce they were exactly the thing I was craving. The summer rolls were equally as fresh and delicious. The filling of cold rice noodles, crisp lettuce and shrimp then dipped in the accompanying peanut sauce was just as delicious. We ordered one pork and one beef Banh Mi. The first thing I noticed was how plentiful the meat was in each one. Usually it's a light sandwich but these were very hefty in comparison to others I've had. My meat was very savory and had a very tender texture, almost like pot roast. It was also the juiciest pork I've ever had in a Banh mi. The picked vegetables were also really good but both our sandwiches were missing the jalapeno I've come to expect. My husband really enjoyed his beef one as well but we both noticed how the bread lacked that crusty flaky quality that Vietnamese baguettes normally have. This was more of a sub roll with a chewy texture and softer crust. The flavors were great, I just missed the textures I have come to expect in an authentic Banh mi. Our spot in Greensboro will still be my favorite but when I don't want to trek out that far, I can get my fix at What Da Pho.

As we decided on our meal our waitress did a great job of keeping water and tea on our table plus any type of sauces we asked for to dip our egg rolls and spring rolls and Crab dragons (one of my favorites). Our oldest son and his girlfriend was enjoyed the Sushi. Our youngest had ordered a bowl of chicken and rice soup with scallions. I noticed he was letting it cool so I got me a spoonful and in my older years I can't handle a lot of salt in or on my food. And his soup definitely had to much. As our food was being our daughter in-law had a bowl of egg drop soup. Something I also enjoy. But she took about two spoons full and pushed it to the side. I started to put my spoon in and she warned me that it was extremely Salty. So I took her word for it. The waitress took it off the bill. I had ordered Hibachi steak and shrimp. My steak was as tuff as it could be. The shrimp were okay but nothing to write home about. So with in a two week span my wife and I spent over 100 dollars on food from two different restaurants in Salisbury that unless we just happened to hit on an off day we were very disappointed in our food. We have dined at Bangkok several times over the years it's been at this location and been very pleased with our meal. But last night we were disappointed.

Kind of reminded me of the texture of spanakopita in a bun. They were generously filled and delicious. Yangzhou fried rice had a mix of scallops, shrimp, chicken and veggies. Portion was huge, husband could barely finish it. I ordered spicy wonton in chili oil, and mini spare ribs in black bean sauce dim sum. Loved them both. Seasonings and spice level were perfect. I'd order those again. We also got a selection of dumplings - pork and veggie shumai, steamed potstickers, and crystal shrimp dumplings. Loved all of them. I love the relaxed vibe here. Our server was attentive, professional and gave us space to enjoy our meal with minimum interruptions. We were greeted when we arrived and she waved goodbye when we left. While dining, I saw quite a number of takeout orders picked up by customers and dashers, which is something we'll definitely do in the future. The dining area and bar are in one big room with huge windows that make the space feel spacious and light. Even tho it's one big room, tables aren't crammed together. Music is low enough to talk at normal volume. We really enjoyed our first time here, plan to eat here again and highly recommend it if you haven't been.
