But I will absolutely be back!!! Adie was absolutely excellent in explaining the menu and sharing her favorites! (I gave her a personal to let her know how wonderful her recommendations were) The fries are delicious. Seasoning so so good! I had my mouth set on the biscoff cookie shake, they only had Oreo. I tried it but it was just ok. Highly recommend giving out bigger straws b/c it was a headache sucking that shake through lol. I also would recommend using coconut milk instead of oat milk. It just has an aftertaste whereas coconut not so much. The best thing and the shocker for me and my non vegan friend, was the Carolina Hot dog. It left me screaming and then speechless. My friend even did a happy dance lol. We are contemplating taking another drive tonight before they close b/c I shared it with her as she was too nervous to get it, we want more lol. We both love hotdogs and I can't say that I've ever had a really good vegan one. This was it!!! And honestly can't tell it was vegan from the texture, to the chili, the special sauces, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! And the Philly cheesesteak came a very close second runner up. The bread stood up to the sauces. And they are saucey but I don't mind it at all. Sautéed peppers, onions, the protein...this was just good clean food and not too much processed. As a vegan chef (Mama Nicca's Homemade Things) and someone who loves to be creative in this vegan world of cooking, this truly was OUTSTANDING. I will probably return every time I'm in Charlotte. One thing to know before you go: you'll place your order on one of the self-service kiosks inside. There are signs letting you know which kiosk to use. After ordering, you'll wait for your name to be called. If you're not there when your order is ready, they'll place your food in a pickup locker for you to retrieve, which is a nice convenience. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're craving some flavorful soul food.

I looked at the menu previously and knew i wanted to try the ribs. I also ordered the mac and cheese and black eyed peas as sides. The meal comes with rice and their vegetable of the day which happened to be collard greens that day. To finish the meal I ordered the housemade hibiscus tea. It took about 10-15 minutes or so for everything to be ready and it was brought out by one of the lovely owners (forgot to grab her name). She was so sweet and came back out to check on me mid meal. Everything was so good. I haven't had ribs in over a decade so that was such a nostalgic taste to me. It had the chargrill taste and everything and that sauce was so good! The "rib" meat had a great taste as well and I enjoyed the meaty texture. The fixins were all really good. The macaroni was nice and seasoned so were black eyed peas, collard greens, and rice. Truly tasted like a plate from an auntie's house. I'm already plotting my next trip to Charlotte so I can make my way back over here. I was sold after seeing the celiac friendly/safe many items and their health and vegan options! Jeremy was our server for the night who was great. It's also worth noting they do not take reservations for parties under six, which can make planning ahead difficult during busy times. It was frustrating because we know the food can be much better based on our previous experiences. If the kitchen were more consistent, the rating would be very different.

I brought my concerns to the manager, hoping the issue would be taken seriously. Instead, I felt that excuses were made for the staff member's behavior rather than acknowledging my experience. That response left me with the impression that this type of service is acceptable and that the issue is unlikely to be addressed.
