*About 2.5 stars* Ordered two BEC bagel sandwiches and two medium coffees (one iced, one hot) for pick up here. Walked in to pick up my order and it took a few minutes to get together (business was pretty steady). Staff was curt but again, they were pretty busy. I was surprised to hear that our total was $17 for these items. I paid and left with breakfast- we sat at the outdoor seating to eat. The coffee was good (they use Green Mountain coffee) but the BECs were sad. My partner got BEC on sundried tomato bagel and mine was on pumpernickel. My bagel was super hard, as if it was a day or two old. My partner's was the opposite- oddly soft (not toasted for sure). Order 2 breakfast sandwiches today, specified not toasted and no egg on these. as the order became ready i noticed them put egg on the sandwich. didnt realizing it was for me till they called my name or i would of corrected sooner. then they acted like i was the issue when i brought this information up. i specified no egg at ordering and not toasted. the manager then comes up to me and said this is a common mistake. ok so if its a common mistake then you need to correct the people making the product. i understand simple mistakes happen but maybe word it that way and not say its a common mistake because that implies this happens often. the managers excuse was his people are new, ok so once again train the people correctly so they dont make these mistakes. the manager then tells me i should train the people if i think its so easy. here is the thing, i used to manage restaurants and have since retired. if you cant train someone to take a order at a pos system and a line cook to prep sandwiches you have no business being a manager of anything. my problem isnt the mistakes with this order its been the 5 previous times they have made the same mistakes. i am not looking for a discount, im not looking for a freebie, i will never go to this carolia beach rd location again while this management team is in place. forgot to mention was overcharged as well due to not ordering egg. read more

Best gluten-free bagel I've had! As of this review, the only GF bagel available is plain. The GF bagel was actually fluffy and has that fluffy-bread mouth-feel (unlike most GF breads, I've had). Had a great time at Beach Bagels. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 8 year anniversary and almost went to a different breakfast place until they were rude over the phone. This can't be as good as it gets in Orchard Beach...? I ordered a bagel sandwich with egg and sausage. The mold they used to microwave their eggs (also probably eggs out of a carton, not a shell ) is about half the size of the bagels they use...and apparently the microwave is used a lot in this establishment, because I saw them microwave the sausage as well. Has no one ever heard of a skillet?! The microwave should NEVER be used for eggs, it's disgusting. Make an effort, it will pay off in the long run. Lastly, semi burnt is not lightly toasted, if the toaster you roll them through doesn't have a light setting, get a new one that does. read more
