I brought my car in and was pleasantly surprised to see that Jesse was my former and competent Service Manager at the Landrover Dealership in the South Bay. Jesse promptly evaluated the car, called us with the diagnosis, services required and fees which we were satisfied with. He fixed the car and it was complete the next day. Jesse has a positive and honest demeanor, and doesn't pressure you one way or the other. Just the facts and that he's willing to take care of your car. These guys are amazing. I purchased a 2004 Range Rover and it runs well but had a host of leaks that I knew I had to get fixed. Jesse and his team solved a pesky check engine light problem that kept recurring (including OTHER shops, it took 5 visits to solve this one), resolved all engine oil leaks in about 7 different places, and a couple of coolant leaks. It took a bit of trouble shooting, but they stand by their work and got it all fixed. And they're super nice folks too, which makes one feel good when having to spend your hard earned money on repairs. Thank you guys for the great work! I DO NOT recommend Beach Cities Rover! I took my Land Rover here to fix a ticking sound. After diagnosis, they said the noise was due to needing a new timing chain. After getting the timing chain repaired, the same noise was still there. Then, they said the noise was coming from the pumps in the engine. After getting those replaced, the same noise is still there. At this point their advice was to turn my music up loud so I don't hear it?!?! In addition I found my engine cover in my trunk and made a trip back there, only to find that they had put a different ratty engine cover on my car because they forgot my engine cover was put in my trunk. Lastly, upon picking up my car, it reeks of mildew and mold. In conclusion, the ticking noise I originally came for was never fixed after over $10,000 in repairs and I am left with a loud and smelly car. I am very very disappointed and dissatisfied with their service. read more

AMAZING SERVICE!! These guys are super nice and do a great job. I came in on Thursday to have them look at my 2000 Land Rover Discovery, a car a lot of people don't work on. They did a quick assessment and told me what needed to be done for as cheap as possible, really understanding my current situation, instead of trying to over pay for a bunch of different things like most shops do. They offered to take in my car over the weekend, and fixed up my car Monday morning quick and efficient. If you need help on your Land Rover in LA, stop looking, this is the place to go to. I can't say enough good things about Jesse and the team at BCR. I initially found them when I was looking for a dedicated Land Rover shop to do a full run through on my LR4 before my factory warranty was up. I did my homework beforehand on LR4 issues on the forums and I must say they did a great job and helped me identify quite a few expensive repairs I had missed that I was able to get covered before my warranty was up saving me both future headaches and money. I have since brought my LR4 here for all service needs and have always had really great experiences. The thing I was most impressed with is their level of customer service, they are always very professional, accommodating, super fast and friendly. Most importantly Jesse is extremely responsive, knowledgeable and helpful with any questions. I recently had an issue I was worried about with my LR4 prior to having to take it on a long trip and Jesse was kind enough to personally take a look at it immediately and help calm my worries. I can't say enough about Jesse and his guys. Due to my Range Rover driving a little "sluggish" and an engine light coming on the night before, I called the shop on a Wednesday late morning and they squeezed me in within 30 minutes. I dropped it off and within a few hours Jesse called me with the full diagnostics report and the solutions to the issues. I never once felt that he was up selling me. I was due to fly out later that evening for a three week international business trip. Without hesitation Jesse said I could keep my Range Rover there and when I got back it would be ready to go. He reassured me that it would be safe and pulled into one of the garages every night. When I returned home three weeks later, it was fully repaired, freshly washed with a box of chocolate inside.
