I came in on 5.24.19 to get my driver side rear tire replaced on my X5 due to it having a nail in it. This place was near by where I was staying and fairly priced. They were quick and very friendly. BUT today I went out to dinner with my husband and my two year old and we kept hearing a weird noise. My husband jacked the car up when we got home thinking maybe there was a rock or something stuck in the tire. Come to find out my tire they replaced was missing one lug nut and 4 were loose. They were not properly torqued back on. Had I kept driving my car and not heard this noise it could have cost me my life, my families and potentially others. Please double, even triple check your lug nuts if you're having a tire replaced here or anywhere. read more

Long story short saw I had a very low tire had to put on my little donut spare. Did all that on my lunch, I called and asked if they could fix my tire after work they said yes. I go straight there about a 3 minute drive and I was a little discouraged by how busy they were. However as soon as I got out of my car, I was instantly greeted by Mike. He took my tire found out there was a puncture. They fixed it and swapped out the spare! Aside from the customer who blocked me in and forgot to leave their keys... my experience was great! My family has been coming to this place for years and the service here has been pretty good throughout the years. This is the place to go for tires and mechanical problems (depending on your car). I wouldn't recommend bringing an electric car here just because I don't think they have enough experience with those yet but I bring my hybrid here for oil and filter changes, tires, etc. Make sure to check in as they still have the 20% off deal...although they usually give you very fair prices to begin with! read more

Let me start with I have been here before, and had good service, but. I went in with my two daughters today to get air in my tires. I asked the man if he thought there may be a slow leak in one. He said he'd be happy to check, and if it needed to be fixed it would be $10. Great! Let's do it. He promptly found a screw in the tire he took off, showed me, rolled it away and came back within a few minutes and put it back on. I didn't want to bother him with a credit card transaction, so I handed him a 20 dollar bill and asked if he had change. He said it was $20 for "the plug." huh? Didn't he tell me ten? Awkward silence followed. He walked away. Next time I need a service done, I will either send a man, or bring one. I felt he took advantage of me because I was a woman. Thumbs down. read more

GREAT and fast service and surprisingly good prices considering it's Corona Del Mar and everything is pricier here. Plus, it's a lot closer than driving somewhere like Santa Ana/Garden Grove. Came here to get my tires rotated and an oil change. The guy helping me out was very friendly and honest about what I needed to get fixed. He gave me a breakdown assessment of what my car needed, told me what should be fixed soon (but didn't pressure me into getting it done that day), told me what I could wait on, etc. I really appreciate the honesty, especially because I hate it when people try to add on services to get a bigger bill. Big plus in my book. Also, the wait is a LOT shorter than most places. Another BIG BIG plus to me. I hate waiting. Definitely plan on coming back here again for future car maintenance. read more

I stopped by here today to get my new set of Konig wheels installed. They ended up damaging the finish on 3 out of 4 wheels. They also damaged the lip on the wheels they dismounted, which will make them harder to sell... Very unsatisfied and will not be returning. I bought a $35 Groupon which stated the following was included:Nitrogen service inflates tires, 24-point inspection and conventional 5qt. oil change. They only did the oil change and NO2 tire inflation. Before oil change was done, I had to ask Marcus if I needed brakes and was hoping he would tell me that brakes would be checked as part of 24-point inspection. Never happened. I'm not the type of person to make a fuss so if they don't want to do it even though it's stated as part of Groupon...fine, no worries but 2 stars dinged. My invoice only showed the nitrogen service and oil change was done and did not show any 24-point inspection was performed. And even though the invoice showed a $81 discount because of Groupon, I know I would not be very happy if I paid full price ($116) for just a basic oil change and nitrogen tire inflation. Nevertheless, I tipped 15% to Kevin, technician actually performing the service, because he worked hard to get oil change and tire inflations done quickly. Nice guy, too. I normally used South Coast Auto Clinic (highly recommend them!) but wanted to try something different and trusted the other Yelp reviewers about this place. I can understand why a busy place would not want to take the time to do 24-point inspection for just a $35 Groupon. I get it. The solution - don't advertise it or your customers will expect it. All in all, for $35 I don't regret going here with the Groupon. "You get what you pay for." So if you pay full price, definitely ask first what is included then make sure they include it. (In my case, everything was stated clearly on the Groupon and they just failed to do 33% of what was stated.) read more

When I arrived at my scheduled time they were expecting me and knew exactly what tires I had ordered. They swapped out my tires in less than 45 minutes. So i go in for a major radiator leak (told on the phone i am puting water in it every day and coming in right away)...i talk to the same guy i did on the phone and he goes and looks at the engine and tells me I have a major leak coming out of the bottom of the car as if it was news and I better get it fixed.....noooo reallly???! I had an amazing experience here today! I called around noon to ask if the shop had time to check one of my tires because my flat light kept coming on. Mike said to bring it right in. After my warranty expired at Crevier, I decided it was time to try and find a good body shop that didn't charge an arm and a leg for maintenance. A friend of mine, who knows Marcus recommend I try this shop out. My BMW needed break pads and a few lights replaced, so I brought it in one afternoon. Everyone their was very friendly and knowledgable. A few of my parts needed to be ordered, but they were able to pick them up within 20 minutes. Most of all they were fair and honest. They didn't overcharge me for parts or for service. While BMW quoted me 65 dollars per light (not including installation) BCP got the part and installed them for half the price. Was quoted a price, came down on a Friday morning and they got to work. When the car was ready, we had some slight miscomminication with regards to the price. After a few phone calls, they not only honored the quite low price, they gave us a bit more off for the "trouble". I'd been driving my mom's '02 Ford Expedition temporarily when the tire popped. AAA came and put the spare on, but overnight, the spare mysteriously went flat. Just my luck. I bought a new tire but didn't realize that it (the rubber part) still had to be mounted onto the metal wheel in order to replace the spare. I called Beach City, asking if they could do that for me. The guy on the phone said yes and suggested to get my car towed there so that I could just drive it off their lot once they finished. I asked if I should make an appointment, and he said to come right in and they'd take care of it. I asked for the quote and he said $20. As soon as I got there, I was approached by Marcus, who remembered me from the phone. He had his staff take care of my car, which they did immediately. Everyone was friendly and helpful, which is always nice in unusual circumstances. He also asked if I wanted to buy a spare tire, but I told him my mom would take care of it. He didn't pressure me, but rather informed me that I could come back any time if I wanted to buy a used one for cheaper. I was out of there in LESS than half an hour. 5 stars for reliable service, helpful (as well as approachable and friendly) staff, efficiency, and a job well-done. Marcus upholds Beach City Performance to a high standard and HONEST work ethic. No BS that those auto mechanics try to pull on you, about needing more services than you came for. Totally incompetent. I guess other reviewers were lucky, I wasn't. They put in the wrong oil. Twice. Even worse, they stripped the oil pan nut and covered it up with telfon tape. Naturally, when oil stated leaking in a couple weeks and I brought it back, they tried to change me $1400 for a new oil pan. I know this because I then brought car to a real mechanic who showed me and fixed their mess for $100. Not sure whether they are dishonest or just incompetent as they try and fix every car imaginable, but I guarantee there are better shops around. read more

I dropped off my car asking them to check out what was wrong with my car and let me know. They never called me. I had to call twice and was then informed they already took care of the problem without explaining to me what was wrong, giving me a price or anything! I was treated disrespectfully I assume due to my young age.
