I really enjoy both of the locations. I have been going here since I was I college which was about 17 years ago. I took my husband here on our first breakfast date. The staff is always friendly and the food is delicious. I love both breakfast and lunch. I have never been disappointed. The kids portions are especially large. My two year old daughter has had a large appetite lately. She ate two eggs, a piece of toast, half of a rather large bowl of fruit, and half her bacon. A nice little dinner located in Ponte Vedra that has a variety of breakfast foods. We came here with some friends to try it out. Everyone wanted something different and we were all able to get what we were craving since they had so much to offer. We had a party of 6 and were seated quite quickly, which was a plus since we had somewhere to be soon. Our service was very fast. They were very prompt with their service and very friendly. I ordered the Eggs on the Bayou (single serving). I highly recommend getting this. It's Eggs Benedict with a Bayou twist. It has a poached egg on an English muffin with bacon, crabmeat, and hollandaise sauce. It's then topped with tomatoes and green onions and served with home fries. It upsets me to write negatively about a local restaurant but I feel it would benefit future customers to hear about my experience at beach diner. The staff was nice but the food was disappointing. I got a simple meal of scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon and it was just not good. We stopped in searching for a local diner for some breakfast. Ordered steak and eggs. Steak was nice and thick, but lacked flavor. Home potatoes looked excellent, but they also lacked flavor. Pancakes were wonderful. Service was very fast and friendly. Atmosphere was relaxing and clean. Was surprised to see "voted Jax's #1 diner". Maybe lunch and dinner is better. We're here eating breakfast this morning during a pretty serious increase in covid cases in our area. The staff is wearing masks, but there is one server who is continually taking her mask down to talk, which completely defeats the purpose of wearing a mask. Also, a customer with a dog sat down on the patio to eat and this same server brought out water for the dog, touching the dog near it's mouth (unintentionally, I'm assuming) and then proceeded to go back to work without washing her hands. She even began rolling silverware and scooping ice... This is so unacceptance and disappointing in this current situation. Not sure if we'll be back. read more

I heard great things about this place, so 4 friends and I went there for brunch. We sat outside because the inside was FREEZING! I don't know how the people sitting inside were comfortable... We were really excited for the food and ordered all kinds of different menu items (ses picture). Unfortunately, none of the highly anticipated meals were that great. The meals looked very nice, but the taste was (I quote my friends) "underwhelming." The Hollandaise sauce tasted sour and store-bought. The meal also only comes with one Egg+Muffin ($8ish) and if you want 2 it's almost $10. I only ordered one, but ended up getting the Double. My friend did not like that the breakfast burritos only had eggs and some meat in them & said they needed something different or a fresher taste inside. It was really nice that we could choose fruit for a side and add avocado to any meal though ($1)! The service was a bit slow, but that's understandable since the waitresses had to wait on the inside and outside. The hostess was obviously overwhelmed since people pay at the front. Two people working there would make more sense & would have avoided our long waiting time after brunch. read more

What a surprise! Was just driving bythe main road and decided to stop in. Sat at the counter, super fast service! Had the grilled salmon with sweet potato fries and a tossed salad. Salmon was perfectly cooked, crispy crust on top and juicy inside. And it was really juicy and not fishy tasting. Best salmon I have eaten in years and this includes fine dining places. Wow! I am so glad Metro was too busy-so we saw Beach Diner when we were at Flavor Palette yesterday. We came here for a wonderful meal today. They were so friendly from the minute we came in until the time we left. I had the Eggs on the Bayou-it(single, not the double)had crabmeat and other good things. For my side I had fresh cut fruit. Ernie and Autumn had the Mexicana omelet with hash browns(cubed kind)with wheat toast. Now on to our wonderful Waiter-Ray, he was "da bomb"! He was an exceptional Waiter and I hoo his boss see this review. I appreciate great service and he went above and beyond! Way to go Ray! Keep up the great work. I go to the Beach Diner frequently for breakfast, so I obviously enjoy this classic casual diner. Nothing fancy about this place, but clean and welcoming in a strip center off A1A North in Ponte Vedra Beach. The line that frequently forms on weekend mornings tells you they're doing something right. The staff is always pleasant and the food is good. It's hard to mess up breakfast, but they get my specific requests right (everything almost burnt except for the eggs over easy). This will continue to be my regular place for breakfast in Ponte Vedra Beach. And an occasional lunch too! read more

The food: it's good! But expensive for a diner. When going to a dinner, I expect to spend around $10 for a good amount of food, not $15 for coffee, eggs, bacon, and 2 small slices of French toast. But, it was a yummy breakfast. The coffee was slightly watered down, but not terrible. It's a good location in Ponte Vedra Beach; right next to shopping. Unfortunately, we were sat at a table and immediately asked if we knew what we were going to order (before even getting a menu!)! Obviously a local place but that's no excuse to assume that everyone that goes there has been there before. Very off-putting. Also, we received our check about 3 minutes into our meal. We had one guest almost 45mins late(she is 85/drives herself/so it is a given a HALL PASS)anyways because of that when the food came it was full on starving mode and pictures lost to the WAR CRY of OUR BELLIES. Since it was breakfast time and I seriously dislike morning food choices I was so FREAK'n HAPPY to be able to order off the Lunch menu. But BD has some of the VERY BEST Home Fries around, I went w/those as they NEVER DISAPPOINT for my side. I was so was glad I did..yum yum yum dipped in datil hot sauce) It was one of the best sandwiches I had had out in some time..Loaded w/smoke salmon..Smothered w/ripe rich yummy creamy slices of Avocado. I wish it had had more of the wasabi cream cheese, but now knowing what I know I would ask for extra. Adding the sprouts gave it the earthy crunch I love to find, and next time I may see if they have Arugula; as that would take it over the top as well for me. I could only eat half so I packed up the rest to bring home..I did do a squirt of lemon on the avocado side(not wanting brown harsh avocado later) Yes, this made one half of the sandwich soggy but when life gives you soggy bread pull out a box of Wheat Thins or a box of Triscuits and you have a cracker sandwich party. NOTHING FROM THAT MEAL WENT TO WASTE!! The other two dishes were Western Omelet and a Cheese Omelet they looked good and every bit of them were eaten as well. So, I am giving those dishes a YAY as well as they seemed to be enjoyed. So if you want to enjoy the BEST Home Fries and like Smoked Salmon..I say make your way to Beach Diner and ENJOY.. read more

Beach locale + Diner food = Beach Diner. Great place to grab a bite. They serve breakfast & lunch daily but my advice is go for the breakfast; that's what they do best. The coffee is some of the best diner coffee I've had; I go through several cups in one sitting. French toast (no raisins) and a side of cheese grits is still my go-to order, but I've learned to venture out a little bit. I've had their grilled cheese sandwich off the lunch menu and tried the eggs benedict. Both were excellent. I don't think they're doing dinner anymore; it's definitely the place where to start your day, not end it. read more
