We went here because it was convenient, right next to the beach and Stillwell Pool. They have a kids menu with a bunch of options. My daughter had the marinara pasta with Parmesan and she loved it, finished every bite. It's a good portion too, and it was only $9! In fact, she liked it so much we had to come back our second night so she could have it again. To me, the highlight was the warm bread. It's served with softened butter, and coming in from the chilly outdoors to it was heavenly. I also had their Beach House salad--the candied pecans and the tangy sweet vinaigrette were very good. The second night I tried their Filet Mignon Beef Stroganoff, and it was way too rich for me. I barely ate many and it unsettled my stomach. Should have just stuck with the salad again! Service inconsistent. First night our server was an older woman with a ponytail, didn't see her name. She was super unfriendly. Felt like we were inconveniencing her every time I asked her something. My husband and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary with a weekend getaway in Carmel and Monterey. Wanting our special evening to be truly memorable, I spent over an hour researching romantic restaurants with beautiful scenery in the area. While many options stood out, the Beach House Restaurant at Lover's Point immediately felt like the perfect choice. We were absolutely delighted that we chose to spend our anniversary here. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Camille, who mentioned they were expecting us for our 7pm reservation and were already preparing the ideal table after I noted our 30th Anniversary on OpenTable. Camille escorted us right away to a stunning spot overlooking the ocean. The view was breathtaking -- calm, peaceful, and utterly romantic. Camille let us know that Emily would be our server and would be with us shortly. Even while busy helping other guests, Emily greeted us with a warm smile and assured us she'd be right over. As soon as she had an opportunity, she took our drink and appetizer order. She quickly took care of us, by bringing our drinks, fresh bread, and West Coast Poke to start. The bread was perfectly crisp and flaky on the outside with a soft, warm, and moist interior. The Poke was exceptionally fresh, beautifully seasoned, and vibrant. As a native of Oahu, I'm quite particular about fish, and while nothing quite compares to Hawaiian Island fresh fish catches, this came impressively close. Jose, the kitchen runner, delivered our entrées, and Emily promptly checked on us, to ensure we received all our dishes and offered fresh ground pepper. My husband and I shared the Grilled Salmon Filet, Tomahawk Pork Chop, and Wild Mushroom Curry. Every dish was executed to perfection. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were outstanding: the salmon was perfectly seasoned, the pork chop was juicy and tender, and the curry offered a wonderful balance of spices -- flavorful without being overpowering. The accompanying mashed potatoes, wild rice blend, jasmine rice, and vegetables all complemented the entrées beautifully. A huge thank you to chefs Pete and Aleia for creating such an incredibly delicious and thoughtfully prepared meal using the freshest ingredients. Emily provided exceptional service throughout the evening. She was attentive, hospitable, and genuinely kind, continually checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Her care made our experience even more special. As night fell, the ambiance became even more romantic. The ocean view, the warmth from the fire heaters, and the soft lighting created the perfect setting for our celebration. We also greatly appreciated the complimentary Happy Anniversary Tuxedo Chocolate Fudge Mousse dessert -- it was wonderfully decadent and absolutely divine. Before leaving, we had the pleasure of meeting manager Jensine, who was equally warm and welcoming. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team and talented chefs at the Beach House Restaurant at Lover's Point for making our 30th Wedding Anniversary so unforgettable. For our meals, we ordered the clam chowder, salmon fillet with rice and veggies, a filet mignon with a twice-baked potato, plus the creamy Alfredo rigatoni and the pappardelle.The food was hit-or-miss. On the positive side, the pasta was clearly fresh and perfectly al dente. We also really enjoyed the twice-baked potato and the spinach, and the ahi tuna was good. However, both the clam chowder and the Alfredo sauce were far too thick; the Alfredo even tasted like the flour in the roux wasn't fully cooked. The complimentary bread was also overly floury.The biggest disappointment was the filet mignon. We ordered it medium-rare, but it was served rare probably because it was a very thick cut! ‍ We sent it back to be cooked more, but it took at least 30 minutes to return. By the time it came out, the rest of the table had already finished eating. The salmon was just okay. While the restaurant offers a great view, the indoor ambiance is quite loud. The beach house at lovers point has a phenomenal view! Upon arrival the GM Axel promptly sat us early for our reservation! The server, Emily, was prompt with water and our bottle of wine. Belle Glos Pinot noir was delicious and paired well with our entrees, the filet mignon stroganoff and the lamb shank. We started with the west coast poke appetizer, which was a very good sized portion! We were impressed. I remember we even said "this is a very good sized portion!" We came here for a birthday. I had booked this place a week in advance and the ocean view was the main thing that drew me to choose this restaurant. Although I requested a table with a view in my reservation note, the hostess didnt accommodate our request. When asked how long we would have to wait, we were told maybe 40 mins, so we took something else. I was initially fine with this, as requests are not always guaranteed, but 5-10 minutes later, a view table was given to another group of the same size. Aside from that, we were pleased by the food and service. Our waitress was attentive and the hot iron chicken was very juicy. This is our favorite family restaurant when we visit Monterey. Always a treat to come here and enjoy the ambiance and scenery. The food is always good. We love the firecracker shrimp for appetizers and the sunset early bird menu has lots of great options. We usually get the salmon entree, ahi tuna, or steak. They serve delicious complementary warm bread and butter (a rare thing these days). I ordered the Airline Chicken. Strange name but absolutely delicious chicken cooked in a cast iron pan with au jus and potatoes, onions, carrots, green beans. Our waiter (Emily) said it was very moist snd tender and deli and she was right. I recommend it. My husband got the mahi mahi and he was very happy with it. It was served on a delicious bed of.... Risotto? We weren't sure but it tasted great. The only unfortunate thing was we ordered a crème brûlée for dessert and waiting quite a long time to get it and it was completely unacceptable. The crème was not cooked / a liquidy mess and no crunch at all to the brûlée. The waiter was lovely and noticed we didn't eat it and took it off the bill. That was nice but after waiting so long to get it I think a small complimentary dessert would have been nice. Oh well.... Saved the calories I guess. The best hidden gym in Pacific Grove!!! The Beach House at Lover's Point is located at Lovers Point on the ocean ambiance has sweeping views and well priced seafood and American cuisine. Only open for dinner starting at 4:30 PM There's ample seating in the dining room, bar or the outside patio with heaters. On the weekend, I 100% recommend calling and getting a reservation. The Bar does have a small TV. Should you want to watch sports!! Ryan, the bartender makes excellent craft cocktails or if you're in the mood for beer or wine of course they have that too. My kids love coming here! This restaurant is kid friendly, but I do recommend bringing some crayons or activities for the children. read more

LONG time "happy" customer. Until this time. My daughter and I, locals but renting a beach cottage to overcome a loss of a loved dog this week. We arrived a little after 6:30 and asked to sit at the bar, hoping for, at the least, good views and maybe friendly banter with the bartender. Nope. None of that. It was 20 minutes before we were even asked for a drink order. Two lemon drops. Not a difficult cocktail. 15 minutes later, we got it. Still no food order taken. Finally was asked what we wanted and got it, eventually....but had to ask the waiter to ask the bartender for silverware. Food was fine. Not great, but fine. We ordered another round of cocktails....I noticed immediately they were not as full as the first, but again, it's not worth complaining about. Until...... I asked for water. Never got it. We were never asked if food was ok, never asked about anything. Waited and waited to order dessert until we just gave up. My daughter asked to try to make eye contact...never did. at 8:30 ish, with literally NO ONE asking us anything and not getting a bill even, I went to the host station to pay...no one there either. So, for the first time IN MY ENTIRE life, I had to ask for a bill, after I stacked my own dishes.... got the bill and left zero tip. NEVER felt the need to do that before. Then....the bartender says..."have a good night". I told him, directly to his face... "we've been forgotten customers all night." He said..."we're busy". Sir, it's a Wednesday night. You're not busy. You've been chatting with the people at the other end of the bar all night, give me a break." And we left. My daughter is going thru the worst week of her life, hoping to have some joy tonight. Unfortunately, we were pretty underwhelmed by this restaurant. It was our 25th anniversary and it was recommended by the Inn we were staying at. I ordered the broiled oysters with garlic chili oil to start. We also got the Caesar to split. My husband ordered the chicken dish, while I had the crab arancini as my entree. They were busy when we got there, but slowly people started to leave. Our server took awhile to greet us, but we understood. The oysters were so disappointing. The garlic chili oil was drowned out by toasted sesame oil (which I hate) and they were almost inedible. The sesame oil was not listed in the description on the menu, or I would have passed. Hard. Also, whoever shucked the oysters, didn't remove the whole body from the shell ( big no no) so I was fighting with my fork to release them. I worked at an oyster bar for years and shucked my fair share of them. It was hard to cleanse my palate of the sesame oil, because it was so overpowering. The Caesar was fine, nothing to write home about. The crab arancini was the best thing that I had. Really crispy and delicious. My husband was very disappointed with his dish. He is a chef of 30+ years and was excited to try the Demi glacé that was listed on the menu. What came out was chicken broth with so much garlic that it was also overpowering. The menu also said that the carrots and potatoes were roasted, but all of the veg had been boiled. So, everything was the same boiled texture and it was very unpleasant for him. He did let our server know. Our server ( a younger woman - didn't get her name) never asked how the food was. I don't know if she just didn't want to know, or what. She also never refilled my husband's empty water glass and didn't ask if I would like another glass of sparkling wine when she dropped off our entrees, even though my glass was empty, The one nice thing is that they gave us a complimentary coffee/chocolate dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, by this time, we were ready to go. We will not be returning. Fix your menu and make sure the kitchen is preparing food the way it's described. read more

Quite the variety on their menu from Korean bbq to lobster ravioli, which I highly recommend. The clam chowder is thick with clams, celery and an almost potato puree, so, so good; served with sliced hot bread and butter. The lobster ravioli was to die for. Thick, creamy sauce, large parmesan flakes over 8 large lobster stuffed ravioli with asparagus and mushrooms. Not sure what hubby ordered but the risotto was divine with crab with a slight sweetness.
