The dinner began on a high note with exceptionally warm bread and the crisp Flash-Fried Calamari, followed by a thoroughly enjoyable Beach House Bacon Cheeseburger. The true highlight, however, was the fresh Alaskan halibut nightly special, which was flawlessly prepared and paired with an absolutely outstanding risotto. The stunning waterfront view of Lover's Point Park paired with the beautiful weather provided an unforgettable backdrop and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. While the hospitality was welcoming, the service felt slightly overextended at times, leading to a few minor lulls in an otherwise pleasant evening. It is an ideal venue for an elevated vacation meal, and we would absolutely return when visiting the area again.

Cioppino & Pacific Mahi Mahi were both incredibly delicious! I'm still thinking about how good that crab risotto was. We also got the Crispy Oyster Mushrooms for an appetizer but I think we'd skip that next time on account of their "sand-like" texture. But the Pacific Coast Clam Chowder was scrumptious. They brought out a complimentary birthday dessert which was also incredibly tasty & thoughtful. We'll definitely be back

My Wife and I had a wonderful Anniversary dinner there today..Our reservation was for 4:30pm. We were seated in a cute Conner small table that we made work, but had the most Amazing view of the Coast Line..My Wife had the tomahawk pork chops, I had the lamb shanks, both were delicious. We shared a fire & Ice Wedge which was great. I had a IPA beer, and my girl had a Margarita. Service was very good, they even brought us an anniversary dessert, that was nice...The bill was reasonable... Thank you for making our Anniversary memorable...

My husband and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary with a weekend getaway in Carmel and Monterey. Wanting our special evening to be truly memorable, I spent over an hour researching romantic restaurants with beautiful scenery in the area. While many options stood out, the Beach House Restaurant at Lover's Point immediately felt like the perfect choice. We were absolutely delighted that we chose to spend our anniversary here. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Camille, who mentioned they were expecting us for our 7pm reservation and were already preparing the ideal table after I noted our 30th Anniversary on OpenTable. Camille escorted us right away to a stunning spot overlooking the ocean. The view was breathtaking -- calm, peaceful, and utterly romantic. Camille let us know that Emily would be our server and would be with us shortly. Even while busy helping other guests, Emily greeted us with a warm smile and assured us she'd be right over. As soon as she had an opportunity, she took our drink and appetizer order. She quickly took care of us, by bringing our drinks, fresh bread, and West Coast Poke to start. The bread was perfectly crisp and flaky on the outside with a soft, warm, and moist interior. The Poke was exceptionally fresh, beautifully seasoned, and vibrant. As a native of Oahu, I'm quite particular about fish, and while nothing quite compares to Hawaiian Island fresh fish catches, this came impressively close. Jose, the kitchen runner, delivered our entrées, and Emily promptly checked on us, to ensure we received all our dishes and offered fresh ground pepper. My husband and I shared the Grilled Salmon Filet, Tomahawk Pork Chop, and Wild Mushroom Curry. Every dish was executed to perfection. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were outstanding: the salmon was perfectly seasoned, the pork chop was juicy and tender, and the curry offered a wonderful balance of spices -- flavorful without being overpowering. The accompanying mashed potatoes, wild rice blend, jasmine rice, and vegetables all complemented the entrées beautifully. A huge thank you to chefs Pete and Aleia for creating such an incredibly delicious and thoughtfully prepared meal using the freshest ingredients. Emily provided exceptional service throughout the evening. She was attentive, hospitable, and genuinely kind, continually checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Her care made our experience even more special. As night fell, the ambiance became even more romantic. The ocean view, the warmth from the fire heaters, and the soft lighting created the perfect setting for our celebration. We also greatly appreciated the complimentary Happy Anniversary Tuxedo Chocolate Fudge Mousse dessert -- it was wonderfully decadent and absolutely divine. Before leaving, we had the pleasure of meeting manager Jensine, who was equally warm and welcoming. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team and talented chefs at the Beach House Restaurant at Lover's Point for making our 30th Wedding Anniversary so unforgettable. The combination of the stunning oceanfront location, romantic atmosphere, outstanding service, and exceptional cuisine made this one of our all-time favorite dining experiences. You have more than earned this 5-star rating -- we will definitely be back on our next visit to Pacific Grove!

The beach house at lovers point has a phenomenal view! Upon arrival the GM Axel promptly sat us early for our reservation! The server, Emily, was prompt with water and our bottle of wine. Belle Glos Pinot noir was delicious and paired well with our entrees, the filet mignon stroganoff and the lamb shank. We started with the west coast poke appetizer, which was a very good sized portion! We were impressed. I remember we even said "this is a very good sized portion!" Finished off with the banana cheesecake and the brownie fudge which was huge, we took some home. Axel is awesome, Emily was great, and Carmelita was warm and inviting! Beach house is top tier!

We came here for a birthday. I had booked this place a week in advance and the ocean view was the main thing that drew me to choose this restaurant. Although I requested a table with a view in my reservation note, the hostess didnt accommodate our request. When asked how long we would have to wait, we were told maybe 40 mins, so we took something else. I was initially fine with this, as requests are not always guaranteed, but 5-10 minutes later, a view table was given to another group of the same size. Aside from that, we were pleased by the food and service. Our waitress was attentive and the hot iron chicken was very juicy. She gave my friend a nice little sweet treat for her bday which I appreciate. Hence why I gave four stars. Overall, it's a good casual place to come with family or friends.

This was my very first time eating here and it was a great experience! Our server was wonderful and we were able to get a window seat because we had early reservations at 4.30pm. O had the Mahi Mahi with mashed potatoes and green beans and it was fabulous! My bride Valarie had the salmon and it was excellent and our friend ordered Sand Dabs and her words: "out of this world!" The staff were awesome and the service and hospitality were fantastic! By the way, this was all in the context of constantly getting Tsunami alerts on my phone due to the earthquake off Russia. Well if you are going to have a meal with a view before being hit by a Tidal Wave .... THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE! I highly recommend you eat here and get a window seat!

Very fun spot right on the water. Definitely reserve ahead and ask for a table by a window. We did and we got a lovely little table tucked into a corner with beautiful views of the Pacific. We went at 7pm on a Friday night and the place was pleasantly busy. We ordered a martini and looked at the menu and out the window. They serve delicious complementary warm bread and butter (a rare thing these days). I ordered the Airline Chicken. Strange name but absolutely delicious chicken cooked in a cast iron pan with au jus and potatoes, onions, carrots, green beans. Our waiter (Emily) said it was very moist snd tender and deli and she was right. I recommend it. My husband got the mahi mahi and he was very happy with it. It was served on a delicious bed of.... Risotto? We weren't sure but it tasted great. The only unfortunate thing was we ordered a crème brûlée for dessert and waiting quite a long time to get it and it was completely unacceptable. The crème was not cooked / a liquidy mess and no crunch at all to the brûlée. The waiter was lovely and noticed we didn't eat it and took it off the bill. That was nice but after waiting so long to get it I think a small complimentary dessert would have been nice. Oh well.... Saved the calories I guess. Service was very pleasant and we parked right in front. A very nice place with great views and good food.

Dined while solo traveling. Unfortunately didn't get an outside seat, however I still had a decent view. Food was absolutely delicious. My server was very attentive and kind. Will surely return again the next time I'm in the area.

The location of this fabulous place is absolutely incredible. The architecture of this structute is amazing. And what a fabulous restaurant with the most incrrdible food. Anything you order is very well prepared and its hard to say what is my favorite item..i had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. And the prime rib french dip was soo good. I cant wait to go back.

    Pesto Rigatoni with Pesto Cream
    Anne C.

This place is soo underrated!! It has a beautiful interior and great ocean views, right by the water! Beautiful place to watch the sunset. I like how it's usually easier to find parking here compared to Cannery Row, and free parking too. The menu prices are very reasonable. I loved my pesto rigatoni. The servers are all very professional. My only thing is I wish the hours were open a little longer, like maybe a little earlier, but that's just 1 thing.

I'm not sure you can see it, but that's steam coming off that wonderful fresh sourdough bread.

I had a very nice solo meal here tonight.... Simple.... Just the clam chowder and the beach house salad with grilled shrimp. The food doesn't disappoint, the service was friendly and accommodating, and the location can't be beat.

I'm from Reno and we don't have any good British pubs so when going out of town I always look to see if there's a good looking one where we will be going. I saw this place on Yelp and the first thing I noticed was how legit the fish and chips looked. Once I saw that you can get sides of mushy peas or curry sauce, I knew we had to check it out (this is how you would order fish n chips in the UK!) Stopped by on a Friday evening, it was definitely busy but we got lucky and got seated right away. The live band outside was a nice touch. Now I will say, the menu here is fairly small, with only a few British items. But the items they do have are very authentic and I was primarily going for the fish n chips anyway. Great big pieces of cod, batter was beautifully fluffy. The chips are perfectly thick cut. My only very very minor complaint is that I do wish the curry sauce was a little thicker and less spicy, more like a traditional chip shop curry sauce but that's just my preference. I still love that it's even offered! My husband had the BBC (bangers, beans and chips) and he loved it. I tried a bit of his banger and it was really good. Nice thick pork sausage. They had a good looking beer selection, I will have to try some on a future visit when I'm not pregnant! I was really really pleased with my meal here. Please add some bangers and mash though! Those bangers are delicious.

The vibes are here but it all stops there…read more.. Let me start by saying that I love this place. Just needs a bit of cleaning up on their transparency. The 'keep it open' policy is something I appreciate but would also appreciate an itemized receipt when you close out. Here's why to keep your eye out when drinking at this establishment. 1- when you close out, it's helpful to verify what you consumed to ensure you're corrected charged. My receipt was the merchant copy and the customer copy. Itemized? Really had to ask for it. 2- the merchant copy - it asked for a tip and the total amount. When we closed out our beer and well drink, it was ~$28. Weird, right? So my thought was that they clearly charged something incorrect. 3- when there's something automatically charged, it had better be communicated to me upfront. The gratuity was automatically added and IT WAS 20%! No sign, no way to notify me that it was already added. It didn't even say so on the merchant or customer copy. On top of that, the copy asked for AN ADDITIONAL TIP. For something like that, I had better get great service. 4- The service here is spotty at best. There's usually one bartender for the often busy bar. Not a problem, usually. But with that high of a price, better serve your customers well and have a fully stocked bar. 5 - the options were lacking. Two things you'd think would be stocked but weren't - espresso (come on, even Kahlua) and apple liqueur for an espresso martini and appletini were too much to ask for, I guess. Overall, a disappointment. Good thing they have the vibes nearly right. But awful business practices.

I always try to grab a seat by the stairs, and they staff accomodates me if I need them to help me snag it (because in a wheelchair I can't sit at the high tables and the sofa area is often full). That's great service for you. I came in late Dec. for a favorite local act (check out Mark Banks if you have the chance, soulful yet modern). The bartender told me they don't have coffee and that I'd have to go downstairs. I looked as disappointed as I could, and he offered to go down for me. I left him a big tip for doing that but when I returned a few weeks later for the NYE live music, I went downstairs to grab my own coffee this time. I asked them if I could take it upstairs to the music and they said they serve coffee up there now, they have an espresso machine. I wonder how that transpired. If it's from the employee suggesting improvements, that's amazing. I had a dessert the first time and a cheeseplate the second time. The cheeseplate is a great value. Good service, cozy atmosphere, live local talent = new fave spot. Btw, they have some of the same menu items as Schooners, like the Angry Prawns, etc. So non-drinkers have options here.

Yet the ambiance, service, and food are very good! I love the various aspects of the decor, as well. Other than parking challenges on a busy night in the downtown, we were lucky to get a table for 5 relatively quickly, as this place isn't that large, with some additional bar seating, and it seems very popular. 5:30 was a great time, as we watched the waiting line grow longer after we were seated. Our server, Michael J., did a great job of greeting us, providing menus, and taking initial drink orders while we decided what to try. We decided to try BBQ honey wings, fried artichoke hearts, and onion rings for appetizers. The main courses were two orders of kids' cheese pizza and tater tots, a small dinner salad, a cup of New England-style clam chowder, and a NY Steak sandwich. The food came in a reasonable time, with appetizers and salad first, then the rest. The apps were good, but the onion rings were a bit greasy. The honey wings were well-liked, as well as the artichoke hearts, which, strangely, were not oily like the onion rings. Yummy! The cheese pizzas paired with tater tots were certainly different, but the pizza was more like a reheated frozen pizza. The tots were okay. The NY Steak sandwich was good as well, with a side of steak fries - obviously! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely consider dining here in the future when in town.
