At the time, customer service was great and I was really happy to be a customer. For a long time, I got my mail and had no issues. (Though I did often have package slips but no package) Then, in February of 2026, I got very sick, resulting in a hospital stay and major surgery. Once I got out of the hospital, I realized my payment to Mail Station hadn't come out of my business account. I called multiple times. No answer, so I left a message with my name and number explaining that I had been in the hospital, but I wanted to bring my account current if possible. I wasn't able to even walk at the time, so I couldn't go in. I never got a response. I assumed I'd changed the card on file and that my account was current, as I never heard anything. That was my mistake. In June 2026, I am finally physically functional again. I go in to check my mailbox and notice the mail inside isn't for me. I approach the counter and say, "I think my mailbox has been reassigned." They confirmed it had. I ask "Why, was I delinquent in payment?" The older man and the young woman behind the counter look me up in the system, but said they didn't know why my box was reassigned. I asked where my mail was. They didn't know that either. They asked if I had been out of town for a bit. I explained I was in the hospital getting surgery and hadn't been able to come in. I explained that'd I'd called Mail Station, and even left a detailed message with no response. They said, "Oh. Wow. Well, we don't know." So: - Mail Station closed my account without any attempt to contact me. No calls, no emails. If payment is the reason for the closure, I would've happily taken care of my account if I'd been contacted. As it stands, no one can confirm why my account was closed. - Mail Station reassigned my box without asking for the key back or changing the lock on the mailbox. This gave me access to another business' mail. That's not cool for the other business owner. I wish I remembered their name so I could let them know. - Mail Station lost, threw away, returned, or otherwise misplaced my mail but couldn't tell me anything about it. - Mail Station didn't attempt to in any way resolve the issue and I barely got an apology. They didn't even ask for the key back--I volunteered it as I never want to do business with them again and it's super unethical for me to have access to another business' mail. If you value your mail, which I assume you do since you're looking to rent a box, Mail Station is NOT your best option.

When I walk in, I typically am warmly greeted by staff. I have gone a few other times for various services. When planning my last trip out of the country, I realized that my passport had expired, and I needed to do priority processing to get it quickly. I went to this Postal Plus to get my passport photos taken. It was quick and easy. Recently, I had to have a document notarized. I was happy when I called to find that the owner was a notary, and would be there and available all day. It cost $15 which I believe is the going rate. There was a long line with a few customers before me and a few after me. After all, it was the holiday season. I thought he handled the line well without making people feel rushed, however, trying to get a few of the quicker services taken care of first. Regardless, I was in and out pretty quickly and on my way. I learned that this postal stop is moving a few blocks away due to increases in rent. It is a convenient shop to have nearby.

Sending something priority is not the only option and then when I asked for other options, he didn't give me any and just said that's the cheapest... as in regular post would be more expensive? But don't give me the option. I'll update with the cost at the actual post office later but this is just insulting to claim priority is the only option... Up charge 20-30% not 100%!
