You will know so much more about a business when something goes wrong. This is one of those times. On August 5, 2025, I engaged this store to send a package that never made it to its destination. I asked the manager to follow up with me. I was assured he would contact me, but alas, he did not. I had to pursue him for several days and then weeks. He finally told me he filed a missing package report with the USPS since that is how they recommended I send this package. I continued to follow up but I was told it was last seen in San Diego and I could not access the facility because it is not open to the public. Despite my repeated attempts to follow up for an answer, the owner/manager did not follow up with me. Such a disappointment. It gets better. Fast forward to April 6, 2026, when the missing box suddenly showed up on my porch in the evening, in fact, a late night delivery in a UPS BOX via FEDEX! It was marked "relabeled" by FEDEX and there was no explanation. The box was in pristine shape. The packaged food items in the box are now dated and not acceptable to gift to another. Today, I went to the UPS Store, spoke with the same owner/manager. In a room filled with other customers, he clearly did not want to address this issue. He said there is no insurance when I send a package through UPS Store/them via USPS, and he said he could offer me 5% discount on a future purchase. What an insult. Namisha, I sure wish you hadn't sold your business. It's just not the same since you left. Now, I hope many more people know about the level of service this new owner offers especially when something goes wrong. I genuinely come here once a week to make returns or ship packages, and - as annoying as that can be - the staff at this UPS location make each trip enjoyable. They are so nice in there; they are accommodating, quick, and friendly. There is always ample parking in the lot and the space is clean and organized, unlike some other UPS locations I've been in. I love that they help me with printing labels constantly and also take USPS. If you need to ship something, I recommend this location because of its staff. read more

I took a passport photo at this location. The quality was terrible and they told me it was fine. I did not want to argue but will be planning to take a new photo at Costco. A total waste of money. Also as a minority myself, they seem to racially discriminate non-whites with inferior, condescending, customer service. Naneesha, older lady with darker hair, working the counter refused to let me even walk into the doorway nonetheless to drop off my package because she said I didn't have a mask on. I told her I have a mask in my car. When I walked to get my mask in my car (which took a few seconds to minutes) she let a woman in right after me without a mask because the women asked if she could simply pull her sweatshirt up over her mouth (not a mask). She let that woman do a full transaction and not even just a drop off. The lady's payment didn't work so she asked if she could leave her package and come back with another payment. Naneesha said yes and didn't even tell her to wear a mask when she returns. Then (see photo attached) Naneesha let the man after me with zero mask on and only a t-shirt on do a drop off. I told Naneesha she needs to have a sign telling customers she requires a mask so that she's consistent with everyone. She gave me attitude and said "she is going to get a sign". She's a mess. This employee needs to be addressed ASAP. read more

When I walked into this location I was happy to find there was no one in line. But, that is where the happiness ended. I smiled and said "hi." The lady behind the counter said nothing. I wasn't too phased by the indifference as I handed her my UPS package receipt. She grabbed it, took one step towards the back, and then put out her hand. Again, no words were spoken. I realized that I was supposed to know to give her my ID. I did, and she sped off to the back. Meanwhile, I was trying to figure out why she was acting so unfriendly. I thought that she might not speak English very well and may just not want to deal with it, which I could appreciate it. I was wrong. It was evident that she had a hard time finding my package. She was going back and forth. After a few moments found it and then _DROPPED_ my package on the counter! She finally spoke and said "it had your last name as your first name - so I couldn't find it." Praise be! She can speak! I said "strange, I don't know why that is." She blamed me! "That had to be how you typed it in", she said. True or not, why would you blame your customer? She had no proof, and she was wrong. I left in shock. But, the unfriendliness, the dropping my package, the blame sunk in fast. I realized why she dropped my package. It was all my fault in her mind. I decided to call and she picked up. I said I was going to leave a bad review on Yelp!. I gave her a chance to fix it. She remember the experience, but DENIED EVERYTHING! Only 10 minutes had past. She never apologized either. I will never go back to that unfriendly mess (it was a mess) with bad hours to boot. It looks like they will need to pay for some more good reviews to offset this one. I went in the other day to ask for help with bringing a shipment from China. It being my first time I needed some help and a little guidance at first the owner spent quite a bit of time working on getting me a quote and I thank her for that! However,........she and an old lady ganged up on me like two old hens. They proceeded to tell me I didn't know what I was doing! They then went on and on about telling me and the quality of my product would be garbage that the samples you get from China are never the same of the product, This is BS I have 100% confidence in this company I am working with on my product. First and foremost what the heck do they know about what I was shipping and my product??? Apparently neither of them have heard if you have nothing nice to say don't say it or perhaps people just don't want your opinion I did not ask for it! ........ the only thing the old lady that was the customer had experience in was getting SEVERE sun damage to her face, neck and chest she looked 498 years old. As for the owner I told her how inappropriate and rude she and the old miserable woman were being to me and she kept telling me she wasn't she continued to argue with me. I took a minute to go outside take a time out and think about what I would say to these mean old grumpy women! I told them being grumpy,old and mean not a nice way to go through life and ganging up like old hens is not cool..... She need to be nicer and treat people especially her customers better and with respect and as for that old wrinkle bag she needs a new attitude and complete CO2 laser resurfacing of her face! I would give this place zero stars if possible. Never go to this UPS, even if it's the last one on Earth. Nimisha (the owner) speaks broken English and is rude, in addition to providing poor customer service. She refused to print one page for me required to mail my parcel. She told me "use computer." I used the computer for a total of 30 seconds to print my one page. Then, when I went to pay for my mail my parcel she charged me an extra $3. When I asked what the extra $3 was, she told me it was because I used the computer. After I saw the nice UPS driver pick up my package and load it in the truck, I simply asked Nimisha "have you ever heard of Yelp?" She replied "you can write whatever you want about me, I don't care. I didn't charge you for anything wrong or incorrect." I did not feel the need to argue back with her as I asked her a simple question, and I didn't accuse her of anything. I replied "thank you" and left the store. I can't stress enough, I would never go back to this UPS store again. read more

I have always received excellent service here. This UPS is so conveniently located in Bird Rock and I was always greeted promptly and with a smile. Nimisha is knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. Nimisha knows her regular customers by name too. My husband and I had to ship a lot of boxes and her patience and advice on how to better package the items was very valuable. Nimisha even packed my beloved kitchen-aid mixer in a better box so it would arrive safely. Every UPS charges for using the computer and so does FedEx. It may sound ridiculous but they all do it. The management is very rude and condescending. I went in with 4 boxed Amazon packages to return and they wanted to charge me $2.5 to tape each box closed. When I told the lady on the counter that all other UPS stores don't charge for that and amazon does not require the box to be closed she said you can go to the other UPS stores! Which I actually did and got a much more superior service. There is absolutely no reason to tolerate this. Seriously all I wanted was to mail a padded envelope with contents weighing 0.5lbs. I know that this cost around $3. Had called and lady on the phone told me it would cost about 10 -20% more then the post office. I was so fine with that, just for the hassle of not having to go to the post office. I got there and the man helping me was a bit frazzled. He walked me through the whole label print. And then said "your total with the envelope and the USPS standard shipping would come to $11 and change". I was like "whaaaaatttt?" The envelope was $2.15 and you are charging me almost 3 times what the post office would charge??? That's not 10-20% more, that is highway robbery at 200% more! So I paid for my envelope and went to the post office... where, by the way, I could have purchased the same envelope for $1.49 and my total shipping was $3.32. read more

DON'T GO HERE!! They are total rip-off. Yesterday my wife and I were going to the USS Midway and I bought tickets online. All I needed was them to be printed out in black-and-white. Usually I go to the FedEx in downtown La Jolla but since I was heading south I went to this UPS store. As instructed I emailed the attachment to them prior to leaving my home. When I got there they weren't print it out and when she did do it she printed both tickets on one piece of paper. After correcting that she then told me it was $2.00 for two printouts. I was in shock not because of the money but because of the gall to rip people off. The FedEx in downtown La Jolla charges $.16 per copy. All I can say is beware, if she would rip me off for just printing, imagine what she's doing on bigger jobs. I advise you to shop around and do what I didn't, ask for the price before she does it. read more
