Brian and his team are kind, gracious, generous, and extremely professional. They were there and ready to go on time, set everything up quickly, and made the beach look beautiful. Between the comfortable furniture, rugs, shade, tables and chairs, games, and all the little details, it was such an elevated experience. It was clear they didn't just want to provide us with furniture, it was important to them that we had an epic day celebrating. And we really did. I grew up in LA and have spent a lot of time at the beach, and this was honestly the best beach day I've ever had with friends. Everything was so comfortable and easy that we could just relax and enjoy ourselves without worrying about a thing. We booked the full day from 12 PM to 8 PM and initially thought eight hours might be way too long. It ended up feeling like it went by way too fast. Having comfortable furniture, plenty of shade, and games made such a difference, and I'm so glad we stayed through sunset. We easily could have spent even more time out there. When it was time to leave, the team broke everything down and cleaned everything up, so there was literally nothing for us to do. The entire experience from beginning to end was seamless. I highly recommend Bliss Beach, and I especially recommend doing the full day. It was absolutely worth it and made for an unforgettable birthday.

If the swings were considered unsafe, why were they removed instead of repaired or replaced with new ones? At the same time, there are still loose or missing bolts on some play features and open gaps on the elevated structures where a child could potentially fall. If safety is truly the priority, why were those issues left unaddressed? Now the playground offers much less for young children. Kids can't spend the whole time using only the slides. The swings were one of the best parts of this playground, and many local families came here specifically because of them. Please explain why the swings were removed and consider bringing them back. This playground was never truly renovated--it feels like the only major change was taking the swings away.

Established in the late 1950s it encompasses some fun finds like a rustic beach style Cheesecake Factory, Killer Shrimp Cafe, Killer Shrimp Restaurant, Jamaica Bay Inn, FantaSea Yachts and The Ritz-Carlton Marina Del Rey to name a few local spots. The beach itself has some near blue picnic area with bbq pits, sandy shores, volleyball courts, showers and restrooms. It's a pet free zone with lots of marina meets beach activities including kayaking, windsurfing and splashing around. There's a pathway, playground area and plenty of space, though this is a small mini beach. Waves are very calm during the day being more low tide. 24 hour parking, about $7 for the day. Lifeguards on duty during the day hours. It was pretty active on a Friday, though not overly busy as you'd expect on a Saturday of Sunday. Nicer weather for sure, to beat the heat. Mother knows best.

I paid for three but my charge wanted to leave after 2 hours of swimming and running around cause she said the water was too cold. You have the option to add more time at the kiosk, and you can opt into a text reminder. Reentry is a breeze. On a weekday, for $8 an adult and $7 per kid, I thought Seaside Lagoon was a steal. Particularly since they allowed children starting at 2yo and one of my charges could barely swim and I was weary of having her out in the open ocean. The water in the shallow end goes to about the child's shin. I kept eagle eyes on the kiddos, but there were also lifeguards watching the pool/beach hybrid. There were plenty of sand to play and build things with, and lots of water features made for jumping off of. More importantly there were trees and shade for me. The bathrooms were relatively clean. I don't think the changing area had any doors though. There were tons of kids and adults here on a summer afternoon, ready to camp out with their cooler, shade, chairs. We left relatively quickly. The children complained of sharp things in the sand. Next time I will bring snacks so we can stay for longer.

I had my first visit at Seaside Lagoon last weekend. I went with my cousins, my sister, her…read moreboyfriend and all their kids. I was the cool aunt helping them keep watch. Boy, it was hot! Luckily, we were all able to stay cool in the water. Tip: if the bottom of your feet get easily burned from the hot sand, bring water shoes. Mine came in handy when transitioning from the water onto to the very hot sand and vice versa. My feet could not handle it without them. The water is shallow making it easy for the adults to walk alongside their kid(s). They have a water slide on the deeper end, and several fountains for everyone to play under. It is best to get there early if you want to get a good spot. It does get crowded fast. Between noon and 1pm, there were people claiming spots on the grass because there weren't any left on the beach. I would also like to note that I appreciated the restroom not running out of hand soap or paper towels once. The restroom will get dirty as the day goes on because of high foot traffic. This was a good first experience. I know what to expect next time. Make sure to stay hydrated. Thanks, Seaside Lagoon!
