Scallops Appetizer, oyster dozen
Linda Q.

Overall the food was good. Fresh oysters, crispy calamari, well-seasoned seafood boil. Even though their crawfish and shrimp were both frozen (which is usually fine but I just like to know to adjust my own expectations), I couldn't really taste that much difference in the quality of the meat so was impressed. My favorite was actually their lobster bisque, so creamy and full of flavor! A few things I wish were different: -I called earlier the day to confirm a reservation at 7pm for 7 people. I wish our table was ready by the time we came. The restaurant itself wasn't that busy but I had to wait a bit just to speak with someone after we came in. Then they only just started cleaning our table and getting it ready. -While ordering, I asked if the shrimp were head-on and they said they were but we noticed they actually weren't when they came out. Still tasted good so didn't see the need to send it back but did want to mention it for others for future reference. Also for some reason, the crawfish to shrimp ratio for my boil was close to 3:1. Was hoping to get more of an equal distribution. -We were surprised by the 5-scallop appetizer costing $20. At first we thought we were mistaken but after checking the menu again we realized they didn't explicitly say how many scallops there would be. It would've been good to know beforehand so wish they were more transparent there. We also could've asked but I've already asked a lot by then too.

Grilled Grouper

Jasmine was our server and she was super friendly and very patient with our indecisiveness. The restaurant is a very cute place with a quaint feel to it with older jazz and artists like Patsy Cline playing softly in the background. I was a little disappointed in the price/portion size of the grouper however another waitress brought me out an extra piece before I had a chance to say anything because she noticed when she walked by. It was super sweet of her to do that. My husband loved the clam chowder and my son devoured the Captains Choice (I think it was called.) The food was delicious.... This will definitely be one of new favorite place to go when we come to Melbourne! Definitely check them out!

Southern Style Grit's

This was one of my favorite spots a few years ago and for some reason I just stopped going. I am so glad I decided to go back and revisit! The grits are my favorite grits at a restaurant, I like them spicy. I had the Grouper Bowl with Fried Grouper and it was SO GOOD! We also got the Beachside fries spicy and they cooked fresh and perfect! My husband had the Grouper Platter Blackened and enjoyed every bite. Love dining in, they have a waitress to take your order and the service is great! Inside there are tables to stay cool in the summer heat! If you haven't been for a long time and are local or are looking for good seafood and want to sit down without feeling like you need to be more than casually dressed after a beach day or grab an order to go, Beachside Seafood is the perfect spot!

Lobster and Shrimp Boil

What a great meal! I had a low country boil with Lobster and Shrimp with spicy butter. WOW! It was plentiful and not terribly expensive. My husband had a bowl with rice and beans and shrimp - spicy and good. The hush puppies were hot and fresh and different with a remoulade sauce. Our server was very upbeat and professional. I appreciated the roll of paper towels on the table. The restaurant was clean and in good condition. Looked like a very nice patio for warmer days.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!! Wanted to tryout a seafood place, being that we were close to the beach, and this place did not disappoint! I have had my share of shrimp boils, and after having it here I have realized that all of the other places have overcooked my shrimp! The shrimp was so perfectly tender that it made it seem like if I was having lobster! Prices are great and our server Kylee was super helpful and kind! You can't ask for anything more! Would definitely recommend!

Best waitress ever ! Cheyenne! Thanks

Awesome place had some awesome food I ended up writing a review for the wrong place . My girlfriend and I came here and had some really good sea scallops, fries , crab cakes and crab legs . The seasoning was a bit on the heavy side so one order was quickly replaced. Our waitress Cheyenne was so friendly and quick bringing us anything we needed for the table now that's what I call good service ! She's definitely a keeper! Will be returning for sure

We walked In right as they opened. We were greeted and seated immediately by the friendly server. The scallop appetizer and oyster sampler was delicious!

I was looking for a nice salad and boil. They didn't disappoint. The salad was plentiful with a good dressing. The boil was to be expected. Lots of garlic in the dish and plenty of fresh seafood. The restaurant was empty which made it not the greatest ambiance but the service and food was great.

DELICIOUS from start to finish!! The service was kind and attentive, the restaurant was extremely clean, and the menu contained several delicious items, the best being the Lobster Mac & cheese. Hands down best lobster Mac in all of Brevard!! This is place is a MUST visit!!

The service was very quick and the food came out quickly. The food was good, but not the best seafood I've ever had.

Probably the most bland seafood boil I've ever had. Maybe it was an off night? My seafood boil had no flavor at all.

This cute bar/grille has an ocean view no matter where you are sitting. There's even some tables on the beach itself if you wanna take off your shoes and sit a spell. Our waitress was helpful and lively. And the food was surprisingly amazing! We only had nachos and drinks because we didn't want to ruin dinner later. But I watched as people Ordered these sky high smash burgers. They looked so damn good! I also zoomed in and took a photo of another persons wings.. they should be called "wangz" because they're so huge! Instead, one of the main seating areas was partially taken over by strollers, toys, and other kid gear. I understand that restaurants can't control every family that visits, but the overall atmosphere felt more like a playground than a relaxing waterfront dining spot. To the staff's credit, my server was kind enough to move some of the strollers and toys so I could get a seat. Unfortunately, it had just rained and the chairs were still soaked. While I appreciated her making room for me, it would have been nice if someone had also taken a moment to wipe down the seat before it was offered to me. Instead, I had the unpleasant experience of sitting in a sopping wet chair and spent my evening here with a soggy backside, which definitely put a damper on the experience... Pun intended. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, which was good, although I was a little surprised to receive it in a plastic cup. Maybe that's standard here, but it wasn't what I expected. For dinner, I tried the mahi tacos after seeing them mentioned in several reviews. The fish itself was good, but the tacos were absolutely covered in sauce, to the point that it drowned out the taste of everything else. Also, thatsynot what they looked like on the reviews I saw. If I knew they would have so much sauce (or any sauce actually) I would ordered it on the side. I ended up removing most of the sauce-drenched toppings just to taste the fish. I also requested a side salad and was told the only option available for a side salad was a Caesar... despite several salads being listed on the menu. I guess it was too hard to toss some salad greens into a bowl with a side if vinaigrette The parking situation is also very confusing. All the spaces indicate that parking is for guests and there is signage along the fence threatening to tow anyone who parks along the fence. I had to call the restaurant to confirm where guests could park (along the fence, as long as it is not overnight or just to go to the beach) and fortunately my car was still there when I returned from dinner. Overall, the food was decent and the waterfront location is nice. If you're looking for a casual, family-friendly beach bar, this may be a fit. However, if you're hoping for a quieter place to unwind after work or enjoy a peaceful dinner by the water, you definitely want to look elsewhere.

In early December, the caviar included a spoon of crème freshe; however, last night was a wilted spoon of greens at best. Will I return? Yes, absolutely. The décor is beautiful, and the combination of indoor seating and large garage doors opening to a spacious outdoor patio creates a fun date-night vibe with excellent beach views. Be aware that the indoor dining area was so loud. We opted to dine al fresco. The drink menu is creative, but cocktails are on the pricey side at around $15+. I tried the seasonal margarita and was surprised by how small the glass was for the cost. To be fair, it was served without ice (just how I prefer it), which likely factored into the size. Even the water glasses seemed unusually small. Service was excellent across the board. The entire staff worked together seamlessly, but the true standout was Peter, the host. When seating guests, he offered a choice between tables, a thoughtful touch I watched him extend to everyone. Throughout the evening, he seemed to be everywhere at once, helping deliver drinks and desserts, checking restrooms and supplies, assisting staff, and ensuring guests were taken care of. The ultimate example of his attentiveness came when I accidentally left my purse behind while walking on the beach. Peter actually started heading toward the beach to make sure I got it back. His attitude, work ethic, and willingness to help in every area made a lasting impression. Food prices are also on the higher side. I wanted to sample a few items, so I ordered two appetizers: the mussels, which were plentiful, and the shrimp and crab cake. I'm very particular about crab cakes, and this one was excellent and highly recommended. The portions were filling, though next time I'll probably order an entrée since the pricing works out similarly. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his double stack smashburger, and we couldn't pass up dessert. The chocolate cake was enormous, incredibly moist, and absolutely delicious. Overall, Boardwalk Bar & Grill offers fantastic views, a great atmosphere, excellent service, and quality food. Just be prepared for premium pricing. If you're looking for a fun beachside date night with outstanding hospitality, it's definitely worth a visit.
