Extremely disappointed and would not recommend. It has been over am month since I was in Boston for my final Invisalign Appointment. Since then, I have heard back only once from them regarding the shipment of my Final Retainer after Invisalign. I arrived thinking that my Invisalign was coming off in March and that I would be leaving the office with my final retainers. I was instead told that we were addressing a cracked tooth, as well as cavities. This was not previously discussed in prior appointments, and I still have yet to receive my final retainer. The appointment was set weeks in advance for my Invisalign to come off; The complete lack of communication is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful given how much time and effort I have invested into perfecting my teeth. Why was my final retainer not ready? I have been consistent with my retainer, and expect to be compensated for lost time and what I would consider incomplete treatment. My concerns have not been addressed, I have not been compensated for lost treatment time, I did not receive shipping/tracking information, and I am inconsistently charged. I am sorry to say that I feel they have attempted to take advantage of me as a young woman (22 yrs old) with unnecessary appointments (cracked tooth/cavities), and failing to explain the purpose of the appointment prior. Their cleanings were great, and they are very friendly but I would not recommend them to a friend or someone looking for a new dentist. Absolutely ridiculous and unorganized. read more

Unfortunately started suffering from a toothache while visiting family on the east coast. I found Beacon Dental after some googling and was lucky they had an appointment available! The office staff was really helpful and sympathetic in setting up something last minute and I was only in the waiting area for about 5 minutes before being called in. After the examination they suggested I've been grinding my teeth in my sleep, which I'd never have guessed. Just glad it wasn't something worse, but they advised me on night guards for teeth and the pain has definitely diminished since I started using them. I won't be back most likely since I'm not from the area, but a really solid place! read more

She is professional, patient, friendly, and very very powerful(when it comes to pulling out your tooth). The staff here are nice and helpful. They actually keep their appointments well scheduled!!! There is literally no waiting time!!! This is something you can barely experience in New York City. Dr Zhang and her team are excellent. I've received cleanings, a night guard, and fillings from them over the past 3 years. Prior to seeing Dr Zhang I did not go to a dentist for a few years. Dr Zhang did a great job on my composite fillings and I hope that they last many years. They have new technology like the 3D scanner to get a mold of your teeth and a camera to see cavities easily. Staffs here are nice and friendly, very approachable. However, in terms of the treatment I have gotten, I feel kinda disappointed and a waste of my time and money. I spent around 3 years here for braces when I went to college in Boston. At the beginning, I remember them telling me there's an option of invisible braces. After I paid and started, they told me there's only regular braces for me to choose. That's okay for me at that time,as long as my teeth can be corrected well. Also I got recommended to do whitening when my braces was not done. Now I feel like it's useless and not quite appropriate for my case. At the end, when my case was close to done, I moved to NYC for work. I still went back to Boston to visit the dentist for my braces, but I just feel like Dr.Zhang didn't want to deal with my case anymore so she said it's ready to take off my braces, and even though I felt like it was still not quite done cuz theres black triangle on my incisor teeth, but she told me it could be gone later. After a year long of retainer wearing and dental visits, the black triangle didn't disappear and was really obvious when I smiled. My new dentist told me my teeth was not completely done. I have gone back to beacon dental center once, and got blamed at that I didn't keep wearing my retainer, which is not true cuz I wore them almost all the time besides when I'm eating for a year. Now, I have to correct my teeth once again after such a short time since my last braces was done. I just feel really disappointed and that I wasted so much money, time and efforts. I should have visited more dentists before starting wearing braces. I won't suggest or choose this place ever again. read more

I got four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Zhang two weeks ago, all the staff in the dental center were very friendly, trustworthy and attentive. For the surgery, Dr. Zhang showed her proficiency and patience during the whole process. I had the partial anesthesia before performing removal, I was actually awake for the whole process but didn't feel any pain at all! This is amazing and far beyond me expectation. Two days after the surgery, the wound got infected because I didn't clean my teeth as instructed by Dr Zhang, she found out the situation by proactively checking back with me on WeChat. Then she called the CVS pharmacy near my home right away to send the antibiotics prescription to there. This helped me to recover from that constant fever, which I think it's the typical symptom of infection. Remember to follow what Dr. Zhang tells you, and the rest is to enjoy the treatment from her. read more

When I got the card in the mail advertising a New Patient Special for only $65. I decided to go see the Dentist. It'd been 5 years. They shot about 25 x-rays of my mouth and looked around but didn't clean or do anything. Then they said I had really bad Periodontitis and was going to need a very DEEP CLEANING that would cost over $1,000!!! I would also need to use this special motorized toothbrush and mouthwash for the rest of my life. When they asked me the crucial question, "Will that be Mastercard or VISA," I said thanks but no thanks...I'm gonna get a second opinion. I immediately went home and called my old dentist, Dr. Temple, in Coolidge Corner/Brookline. Went in the next day. No Periodontitis, barely anything really because I actually floss and brush every day. He found two small cavities. It cost me $280. for the x-rays, cleaning, polishing and examination. Kind've high but they are really fast and pleasant plus they didn't try to "sell" me things I didn't need. Don't go to Beacon Dental Center. It's like a corrupt Car Repair Shop. You drive in feeling fine and all of a sudden you need a new Transmission. read more

I had a terrible experience here with my daughter who was 7 at the time. Dr Zhang told me that she had experience with lip bumpers for children (it's a pre-braces orthodontic tool) but she basically had no idea what she was doing. She not only put the wring size lip bumper in my daughter's mouth, but also left wire sticking out in the that cut into my daughter's gums and cheek. We did not go back after that appointment and I asked for my money back on the entire work that she she had done incorrectly. read more

I recently had my 2 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Zhang and I can honestly say that this practice is well run, friendly, and trustworthy. She took great care of me and provided a painless removal. I was worried on how my wisdom tooth procedure would affect my day in terms of exams as well as how well I would recover during school, but I was pleased to find out that the recovery was short. I have mixed review for this place. Based on customer service, I felt the staff were friendly, better than the usual larger practice. It's nice that after first time, they do remember your name. However, I was supposed to go for regular cleaning and somehow they ended up saying I have periodontal disease and gave me a deep cleaning. The deep cleaning did not last long and was expensive. My dad and brother had bad experiences with them as well. Dr Zhang is very nice but the Russian lady was too rough on my teeth and it scared me every time she had the drill scrapping thing on the surface of my teeth while she looked at the monitor to check where she should clean. Lady, please look at what your doing or turn off the tool when you're not looking at what you're scraping! That was scary. For others experience, they tell you that you need this and that treatment and make you feel like you have all these issues. I personally think they just want more money. I do like that there's a tv in the room to keep me distracted. I waited 40 minutes today in waiting room, what's worse is that there's no cell service as well. Although the location is convenient and they're open on weekends, I'm not sure how much I trust them for special treatments that would impact the teeth in the long run. read more
