    Oyster Rockefeller

Great customer service, very attentive. Nice establishment with indoor and covered outdoor/patio style seating. Outdoor seating is more like a sunroom but is cool and breezy. Full bar at the establishment. Oyster Rockefeller was amazing. The grits are usually really good, thick and creamy but this day they were really salty and intolerable. I substituted the grits for baked potato salad. It wasn't terrible it just wasn't my fave. We had shrimp, fried oysters and catfish which were All tasty the fried oysters were small in size but flavorful. The sweet tea was nice and sweet. Not too sweet just right. Portions aren't hug but was filling and we shared.

It's boozy but really good Shrimp & Grits Everyone's very nice and helpful This feels like a bar/pub. Everything was fast but fresh and tasty. Disliked / Disliked / Disliked / Disliked / Disliked / Disliked / Shrimp and Grits were good but I would have liked them to be a little more creamy, they were thick, flavor was great I think they might have just needed to loosen up a little This dish needed more of the gravy, especially when the Grits were as thick as they were. But it was still really good.

Big place. They have a sitting area in the front and back. The service was excellent. Our server was cool and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was delicious. Now the catfish, I ordered it blackened and it was really salty. I was thinking the catfish was going to be bigger so I will definitely not do that again. Other than that, I still will recommend and come again!

Only came for cocktails, did not order food. Super friendly service, did not have to wait long. Casual atmosphere. They use the maraschino cherries for the old fashioned is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Otherwise great and would definitely visit again.

Crawfish was amazing as usual! I had the Happy Hour special. The service was great and I loved the ambiance.

This is one of my favorite restaurants when I come to Augusta. The decor is simple and rustic, but the food is excellent. The fish dishes are really good, but one of my favorites is the black-eyed pea jambalaya, which you won't find anywhere else. Service is friendly and fast.

Beamie's at the river did not disappoint. Not sure why such mediocre reviews, but we had a great time with great food at this place. Carter provides excellent service and amazing southern hospitality. We were actually traveling from Charleston to Savannah to Atlanta and stumbled upon this place on the way to Charleston since it's have way. We just so happened to make it to happy hour between 3-6. Food was priced well as well as the drinks. I actually want to say they had better seafood than a few places that we visited from Charleston. Oysters were good, crawfish was a bit smaller, but good. The ambiance was bit on the dive bar side so don't expect much, but what they lack in ambiance, they made up pricing and flavors. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Casual spot with great staff. Most importantly the food is amazing and FRESH! I've been here multiple times and have never had a bad dish. The best item in my opinion (personal preference) Oysters Rockefeller. Certain items can be steamed, blackened or fried which is an added plus.

Every time I got to Beamie's the food is great and the service is even better which i really appreciate. I do like the ambiance of inside seating versus outside though. We will be back!!

Don't judge it by the initial view, Beamies has some great food and probably the best fried shrimp this side of Charleston.

They have a valet system, so no worries about parking. Staff have been very professional and friendly, so 5/5 stars for that. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, medium rare. Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly! It came with asparagus and mashed potatoes covered in a crispy layer of batter, which all complimented the steak well. I tried their tuna tartare, which had an interesting take on what the tuna was served on. I've always been used to tuna tartare being accommodated with bread, but this was sushi rice compacted and covered in some light batter. Felt like I was eating tuna sushi. Apply some of the sauces it comes with and seriously was fantastic. I also got to try 4oz of their Japanese A5 Wagyu. Super expensive; $80 dollars for four ounces, but worth the experience. You cook the thin pieces over a hot stone and apply some of the seasonings like salt it comes with. I cooked each side for about 30 seconds, sprinkled some salt, and it melted in my mouth! I ended my meal with their carrot cake and it was moist, not overly sweet, and had a great savory taste. I really enjoyed my time here and certainly will be back again. There is a bar and at the back of the restaurant, you can see the baseball field. Restrooms were clean, but only one stall from what I've seen in the men's room. Overall 5/5 steak house experience.

While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.

We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and was told sorry there has been a mixup we don't have any tables. It will be 20 minutes. We could not wait as our son had an appointment that morning. So they told us we could sit outside at a folding table and get our drinks and place our order and they would sit us when the table was open. We said ok. After getting very hot and bitten over and over with gnats we walked up to hostess stand to see when our table would open. She was calling in a party to be seated. I asked why are they being seated when you told us next open table since we had a paid for reservation. She said ooops that was an error. She said but another table will Open in 5 minutes or so. We were so uncomfortable in the heat and gnats that we asked for a refund of our deposit. It seems as if The place is very mismanaged. The coffee is light brown water. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.
