Came for a quick drink before a meeting, quick service and greeted by an amicable staff. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Ambiance was cozy and no loud music as some cafes have. Pastries for sale as well. I bought a chai tea latte, nothing special but was good, hit the spot. Clean, eatablishment.

Super convenient, located right near the Performing Arts Center at the Mountain View downtown and is always open during performances. There is a large variety of options, and I particularly like that many of them are savory, such as the quiches, tamales, lasagna, and several others. I particularly love the empanadas here, they are big and soft, some of the best I've had so far. The price is also reasonable and the overall location and view from this place creates a really peaceful atmosphere to enjoy your food.

Lily was really friendly good costumer service I nice place to stop by and get a quick coffee or something to eat.

Where the hell are all the people that you have the gall to tell me the blue umbrellas in the plaza are for patrons only? Shame.

Absolutely disappointed by the customer service of Bean Scene Cafe and lack of general concern for us local patrons. Located at the Center of the Performing Arts near City Hall, the plaza is near empty of people. It's high noon on a sunny day mid week, and I figured I could sit in the shade for a minute. Within that time, a man from the Cafe came out to inform me and others that these are private tables and there's no outside food or drinks. I'd understand if the plaza was packed or there were tons of folks looking for seating, but there's no one there... what's more, this guy had the audacity to do the same thing to two other gentleman, one of whom was elderly and had taken a break from a stroll. THE TABLES WITH BLUE UMBRELLAS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME... WHY WOULD HALF OF THEM BE PRIVATE AND THE OTHER HALF PUBLIC?! I used to buy my drinks/snacks from here during evenings when I'd attend a Mountain View Council meeting or see an event at the Performing Arts center, but I rather support a business that actually cares about the city's patrons or residents. Please avoid this business at all costs and visit another one of the other cafes with actual quality food along Castro. Usually, I don't bother to log on to say if a place has mediocre food, but is well-intentioned, but couple your sub-par food with poor care for basic concern for others, and one star is still too good for you. This place needs to go out of business... hope Mayor Sigel and the rest of the Council Members address this place.

Small place in the courtyard of Mountain View City Hall. I just had a small latte, but it was quite good.

I got the drink special recommended to me by the workers which was the Sana'a Latte. All drinks have the option to come iced or hot and they are paired with a small middle eastern cafe. Perfect to have a coffee and a meal! The beans were strong but not burnt and I loved the taste! They offered huge variety of latte flavors and syrups and many were unique. While seating inside/outside seems to be a bit limited I have also never seen all seats occupied. Would love to come back and try the food options and more coffee flavors and update my review as well!

I took a seat and waited for my order. My order was ready pretty quickly and I took a big sip. Hold strong flavors of cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom. A strong coffee flavor as well. It was still very sweet for my liking. The service was warm and welcoming. The coffee was good. Curious to try what else is on the menu and the pastries. Parking is limited to what's on the street. I was standing at the glass for a while before being acknowledged. Someone finally came over, and I asked if the Ube Black Sesame cookie was vegan since the display writing was a bit smudged. The staff member confirmed, so I got that cookie and a Gingersnapperdoodle since I loved it before. I also asked about the Brownie, but did not receive a very helpful reply. My question: Is the brownie very rich? The response: It's like any other brownie. I'm not a fan of chocolate items that are super rich, and some brownies are fudgy, but some are more mild. I'd expect someone working there to be a bit more helpful and descriptive. I ended up not getting a brownie. Lowering my rating because the service was subpar, and the Ube flavor was nonexistent in the Ube Black Sesame cookie. The Gingersnapperdoodle was still yummy like before, but had a more sandy texture than last time.

Nice location - lots of parking and we love to have found a Vietnamese coffee place. I typically get the egg coffee but decided to go with their new Peanut Butter Latte and I'm so glad I did. It comes already with oat milk which is perfect. I will say - for the large the ratio on cream to coffee was little off. I'd prefer less of the cream and more coffee but it was still delicious and refreshing - not too sweet and had a lot of the PB flavor. Hubby got the Pandan Matcha. He loved it - though it was a bit too sweet for him so he waited for the ice to melt a bit. Not sure if we could have adjusted the sweetness. Youngest got the Banana Latte and devoured it quickly. The drinks were not good - at first I did not know they were out of the strawberry flavoring so I was offered to substitute with orange or vanilla and went with the safe route of vanilla. Wrong choice, the matcha itself was not good for the price. Both drinks were actually on the watery side but the coffee wasn't as bad as the matcha (I honestly drank the coffee with a mint flavored gum and it reminded me of the mint mojito from Philz - so I was able to drink it) The muffin I think was a little sweet but my partner actually really enjoyed it and I liked the size of it because it wasn't a lot but he was still able to enjoy it for what it was. The doggy treat was on the harder side but other than that my dog really enjoyed the treat which is saying something as she can be picky. Overall price for quality was too much imo especially since the drinks were really bad.
