    Hardly any pastrami!
    Bonita K.

I ordered the Reuben sandwich for delivery! The bread was burnt to black, very little meat. Completely soaked in its own juices it soaked through the brown paper bag and sandwich fell out! They put the sandwich on the bottom. The food needs heavier paper bags Make the sandwich fresh before delivery! I feel, I received a reject by someone else. Could not eat it!

Best pastrami I've had in a long time! It's REAL pastrami my new food place to go when we are in Boston

Everything here was great except for the portion of pastrami. I was so hungry that i didn't want to take it back and fight over it. It did it's job and i have room leftover for dessert. It was crunchy, it was creamy and when i had pastrami, it was meaty and full of flavor. They have a huge selection of these craft sodas. Like 10 flavors! I got a peach one. I loved it so much, i went back and got a pineapple! So refreshing!

This really was a scrumptious sandwich on a yummy gluten-free toasted bread. There was plenty of meat in the pastrami sandwich, and the other toppings complemented it nicely. It was a little on the higher priced side for my preference, but I was traveling with my water bottle, so I just opted out of buying a drink from them. The service was amazing. The location is super fun, too!

Highly recommend coming to Beantown Pastrami- excellent Pastrami Rueben Sandwich- picked cabbage, Russian Dressing and Swis Cheese then Panama style served warm. Located in Boston Market- -top 10 Reuben in US!

Delicious but became pretty one note halfway through (that's a personal problem though and isn't contributing to the lost star). Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 3/5** Nice guy but removing a star for no mask and removing another star because he wrapped the sandwich with dirty, sauced-up gloves, which meant when I was unwrapping my sandwich, the oil and grease and sauce on the paper got all over my hands. The wrapping paper is supposed to keep your hands clean! **Decor and cleanliness, 4/5** This is located in Boston Public Market, which is very gorgeous and clean inside! Just the no mask made me feel like everything was slightly less safe. **Price and portion size, 4/5** I got a full sandwich (~$19) to split with a friend and it wasn't as big as I expected, but that's okay because it's still very filling with the generous portion of meat. **Presentation of the food, 2/5** Just a paper wrap would've been totally fine but the outside was super dirty and greasy from the sauce. Other stalls in BPM have much more thoughtful presentation of their food. **Taste, 5/5** The pastrami itself takes this review from 3 to 4 stars. It's thick-cut and sooo juicy and tender. The way it's sliced too makes it so easy to eat! It's well seasoned and not tough or chewy at all, so I have no regrets about trying this place out. If I ever come back, I'll probably just order a half sandwich and might even split that with someone, so I can really enjoy the pastrami without getting too full or tired of the tons of meat.

The 1/4 lb. Pastrami Sandwich on gluten free bread

My first Pastrami Sandwich did not disappoint! I got it on gluten free bread and it was really good!! Love the market this place is in such a pretty cool spot to walk around! The man at the counter was quick and efficient but made the sandwich really well!! If I lived in Boston this would be my new spot for both a pretty good quality and inexpensive sandwich!

Stuck few pieces in middle as deception... no meat on edges ...

Stopped in for a pastrami grilled Rachel . 14.95 1.00 for 1/2 pickle Well, I'm embarrassed I wasted hard earned money during inflationary times. The sandwich was grilled and bread had greasy touch vs other Reuben's where rye bread is toasted grilled . Now; I am used to nice Jewish deli pastrami sandwiches like I eat at Mikes in Brookline or elsewhere... at least they put some flavorful lean sliced home made pastrami in a sandwich for 16 bucks... here at Beantown very few pieces were cold like pre sliced days in advance, no meat flavor, just real bad for a place calling itself Beantown Pastrami... must be counting the pastrami slices like beans to assure just enough to legally call a pastrami sandwich. Vs. a cole slaw grill cheese melt. Cole slaw in sandwich was redeeming but not enough to salvage this mess . 1/2 pickle for a buck extra was lousy to... like 3 days out of pickle juice... not cut fresh from the pickle jug... I'll stay away and drive the 15 minutes further to Mike's for pastrami. Boston public market s close to better sandwich spots in North End... I take the blame for this bad decision to never repeat. Beantown better to just sell grill cheeses or pastrami dust , or just scented pastrami sandwiches without the meats... who has the meats from commercials... not at this place... Boston Public market needs better offerings or not worth parking garage charges even with the validation. My last advice... just go to North end for better sandwiches.

This is for sure a 3.5 star review but I just can't give them 4. I ordered the Pastrami Reuben for my first meal in Boston! What to like? You can see then slicing their Pastrami and Corned Beef when making the sandwiches so you know this is fresh quality meats. I asked them what is their favorite sandwich was and they told me Pastrami Reuben so that's what I had to go to. Now they do theirs a little different. They use Pickled Coleslaw instead of Sauerkraut which is actually better for me since I'm not the biggest Sauerkraut fan. I will say this Rueben was for sure on the better end of what I can get in Jacksonville but it's just no where near where top Delis are making their sandwiches. Again, big fan of the Pickled Coleslaw but the Pastrami was just ok. it's just not the melt in your mouth stuff that I have had and some bites were a bit tough. All and all good sandwich and I was happy with it but just not something I'm going out of my way to tell people about.

We ordered the Pastrami Sandwich and the Traditional Reuben. Both were pretty good but I thought the pastrami was better than the corned beef.

    My yummy pastrami on rye!
    Arianne R.

My yummy pastrami on rye! I had to try this little pastrami place inside of the Boston Public market. The pastrami could've been cut a little thinner for my taste, but that is just my personal preference. Overall, the sandwich was quite tasty and well worth the visit.

The brussel sprouts were not good as it tasted like someone put an entire lemon on them. It was also outrageous to charge an 18% service charge and a 3% admin fee on food that I picked up from the restaurant. We went up to the hostess stand and were seated right away. Our server came by and was very friendly. However, as the night went on the service became quite slow. It took a lot of time for our food to come out and to get our to-go boxes as well. For a drink, I ordered the PINA-NO-LADA. It is basically a virgin pina colada. Very delicious and they added some nice cherries on top. For the food we shared: -CEVICHE: Great flavor and very fresh octopus. Went well with the tortilla chips it came with. -SHRIMP SCAMPI: The pasta was cooked perfectly as were the shrimp that were big and juicy. However, the sauce was overly acidic. There was way too much lemon in it. I do also wish they had more than just 4 shrimp on top of a $30 bowl of pasta. -BRUSSEL SPROUTS: Was good brussel sprouts. All in all, while the food was pretty good (with some hit or miss elements), it is such an expensive meal especially for the portion and service you are getting.

I came here 4 times when in town for a conference, as this way super conveniently located to the conference center (Menino). It's open 7am-10pm daily, is always seemingly busy but always very efficient and fast to deliver orders, and has a huge amount of comfortable seating. First visit: I tried the vegan breakfast burrito ($12), a nicely designed burrito with tofu, potato, spinach, roasted red peppers, vegan cheese, and mushrooms, served with salsa on the side. Very solid burrito. The Spanish burrito I tried another day--which came with vegan meatballs of some sort--was even better. Second visit: I got an açai bowl ($9 for the small size; $12 for regular), and added vegan protein powder ($2) blended in. It came with açai blended with almond milk, banana, strawberries, blueberries, and granola. Real good and plentiful even for the small size. Third visit: just ordered a bagel with vegan cream cheese that had tomato in it, and added some spinach on top ($5.50 total). Very generous spinach portion (for $0.50!), well-toasted bagel, and an appropriate amount of cream cheese. Very tasty. Moreover, each time I visited, I ordered a double espresso ($3.50), which was excellent. Proper espresso, deep body, strong, served with sparkling water and a piece of dark chocolate.

Given the choice, however, I now prefer the modern, polished, almost clubby feel of this location in the Seaport. The restaurant isn't particularly large, but it's a beautifully designed space. For larger groups, they have a few round tables that work especially well, including one that perfectly accommodated our party of seven. You can always count on a great dining experience at any of Chef Jamie Mammano's restaurants. His commitment to the highest quality chow, attentive service, fine wines, and an elegant atmosphere has made him one of Boston's most respected restaurateurs. Our meal here was spectacular. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Standout starters included the Wagyu Beef Dumplings, Tuna Tartare, and the Dry-Aged Bolognese Lumache. For entrées, we shared several different cuts of steak, all expertly prepared and presented sliced for the table. The Beef Wellington is also fantastic here. The sides are uniformly excellent, but don't miss the Char-Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Honey and the Yukon Gold Potatoes. Desserts are equally impressive. Highly recommend both the Milk & Cookies and the Bananas Foster. I'd like to especially thank our waitress, who provided exceptional service and helped make the evening truly special. We were celebrating my son's graduation, and her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail enhanced what was already a memorable occasion. I will say Service was SPECTACULAR. All the staff were friendly, accommodating. Alex our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. The best bite of the dinner was undoubtedly the wagu dumplings, they were rich but well balanced. The octopus appetizer was over charred, the burnt taste was the top note, making it bitter. Sadly, our mains were also charred/burnt. The steak for the steak frites, we asked for medium well, but was really charred, again taking away from the taste. The branzino skin was burnt and the capers that came with it so charred to the point of being dry, charcoal dust balls. The French fries and mashed potatoes were well executed as was the au poivre sauce. Dessert was impressive, the bananas foster can easily serve 3 or 4 people, I loved the brûléed bananas and the presentation was beautiful. Overall, there were some standout dishes but if an appetizer and a dessert overshadow the mains, something is amiss.
