    ##3 My Mother's Special
    Shreya G.

Great sandwich! I was devastated when Rina's closed so it's nice to see that a restaurant with pretty good food took its place. I ordered online and my food was ready on time when I got there. It's a small area so there's not a ton of seating, but there's a bench in front. I got the #3. Do NOT expect a vodka chicken sandwich to rival that of Table Mercato's. It is not drenched in sauce, and it is not nearly as big. BUT it is very good. The burrata adds a nice creamy element. It was hard to get in the picture, but it is nestled along the bottom of the sandwich. The sauce that the cutlets are in is also quite tasty, and the mozz was perfectly melted. The seeded roll was also really good and I felt like it added a lot to the sandwich. It's an extra $2 to add arugula and I had some at home so I just added it on my own and it was great with it! Well balanced. I really liked the cutlets, they weren't too thin but also weren't too thick and were what you would expect a cutlet to be like. Now for a sandwich, $19 is kinda hard to stomach. Compared to surrounding restaurants though it is pretty on par. I'd get this again!

If you're in the North End and need a quick Italian bite with options and fast service definitely stop by and make your Cutlet exactly how you want it. Service was definitely friendly and on point

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had! I got the #3 "My Mother's Special", which came with vodka sauce and burrata. The sauce was so flavorful and the chicken was perfectly crisp and seasoned. There was a long line when we got there, but it honestly went by fast. The store is small, but there are a few stools you can sit at if there is space and places to sit at nearby outside. Will definitely be back!

This place is trash. Don't waste your time and money. The chicken was over-dry, thin, and rubbery.

We had a lovely veal cutlet sandwich and a gluten free chicken sandwich made (carefully) separately. Tasty tomato sauce.

However per my cousin, it was absolutely a gamble getting into Monica's due to its popularity. It's your typical Italian deli and stocked with many of yummy bites. I couldn't pass up the burrata special, holy cow, was this fresh. Every bite I wanted more. The balsamic had a lovely twang to it. Super fresh produce and fresh bread!! Can't beat it!

The servers inside are working their tails off...! Their work pace is not the issue, it's the establishment's popularity...! Looks very authentic inside like a restaurant / deli you might find in Firenze. I decided to order the Italian Sub as they make it; no changes. In hindsight, I should've changed a few things I kind of knew I wouldn't like, but wanted to roll with their take on the classic sub. The bread was very fresh and the meats abundant and plentiful! I was not a fan of the balsamic, nor the "hots" (not "hot" so-to-speak, but kind of a marinated sweet pepper, nor am a fan of sweet pickles. Condiments on their sandwich...? Mayonnaise (none), mustard (none). I believe it's only balsamic and EVIO. I ate a half sandwich and was quite full. I honestly threw the other half out. Wasn't my jam. If you'd like to try it, you can have the full summertime experience and wait in the long line in the roasting sun with no apparent breeze or.... PRO-TIP: Place an order online for pick-up; walk up, go in the second door (to the left) straight to the counter where you pay and pick up your sandwich which will be ready by the time you get there. I will try this place again; I'm just modifying the sandwich to a version I know I'll love. Side note: The chip selection had some crazy flavors I've never seen before such as "Fried Egg"

The pastrami was a minced product. It was very salty and no other flavor. It was dry and flaky. And frugally dished out on to the sub roll. I would not have this product in my home never mind pay for it in a sub shop. If you can't do a good pastrami just don't sell it.

I remember it loaded with chicken fresh off the flat top covered in a delicious gravy & mushroom's. Today I was a little disappointed because first of all my order involved no ham and no cheese . I suppose mistakes happen when you make it a certain way every day in and out since 1950's, that you don't pay attention to the little things like people that are lactose intolerant or allergic to ham. Reluctantly, they made me a new sandwich that had one itty-bitty piece of chicken in it breaded,& the delicious gravy. It felt a little light the second time around and it was reported to me that the lady that took the order and placed the sandwich in my friends hand had an attitude. I know my one little sandwich won't make her break your business, but it seems to have an effect when you had to do it over. Try better next time thanks.

The peppers weren't spicy but added perfect acid to the whole pizza. The dough was amazing and it was flawlessly cooked (which for a true Napolitano pizza is a challenge) which is a good sign for any pizza from here. The wife had the Gnochetti which had the important trick of knowing to mix the gnocchi and the short rib into one amazing concoction. Trust me on this one. We closed with the Nutella pizza which I've had at numerous other restaurants and Ciao's was hands down the best ever. Make sure to save room for this... seriously. We found the folks here to be so welcoming and genuine in their desire to provide a delicious meal and experience. This is a small casual cafe with takeout service and a small eat in space and in good weather, outdoor seating, though limited. Excellent prompt service by the charming staffers. Four of us shared the Fungi pizza and the Margherita pizza. Both were delicious with a crisp thin crust and so fresh tasting. In addition we tried a plate of their Short Ribs which tasted homemade for sure. The menu also offered several pasta choices. The desserts shared were cannoli, tiramisu and a mousse. All delicious. This is a definite "return to" pizzeria.
