    Porchetta sandwich

My partner and I shared the porchetta sandwich - TASTE: 5/5 - was not expecting the sandwich to be so good lol. The sweet peppers and relish combined w the salty pork, marinated in rosemary, garlic, and fennel, was chef's kiss TEXTURE: 4/5 - fatty pork, crunchy skin, and a tender ciabatta roll - very satisfying PRICE: 4/5 - $14 sandwich wasn't too bad SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - hearty portion and filling for lunch SERVICE: 4/5 - walked up to the counter, w no line, at 12:30pm on a Friday and the order was ready in under 5 minutes ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - one of many options at the bustling High Street Place Food Hall PARKING: 4/5 - got a metered street parking spot a couple blocks down on Oliver St

We were in town for Seaport's "Snowport" winter festival and this was our first stop for food. The chicken sandwich was crispy and juicy! It could have used a little bit more buffalo sauce, but then that would probably make the sandwich soggy. For being a 5/5 coming out of a booth on a busy rainy day, I bet their main location would knock people's socks off. Also, their service was super friendly and personable!

After half a year of working in the area, it was finally time to try Pennypacker's @ HSP. I wish it were a better experience. I wanted to be lenient, but if you ask me if I'd order the Brisket Sandwich again, I'd have to say no. While nothing was glaringly wrong, several more minor issues added to a disappointing experience. Before I throw the book at these poor folks, here are a couple positives: First, the sandwich contained a generous amount of protein! Second, the service was friendly and amply quick. Thirdly, I did immensely enjoy the lime-marinated onions. Now, the 'book': First, the bread did not work for this sandwich. The crust had substantial give, which caused this poor thing to get crushed under a bite. As a result, the fillings would start to get squeezed out after the first chomp, after the fourth, good luck. Then there is the question of veggies & cheese. As much as I enjoyed the onions, I would have liked more of them. These were already applied rather lighthandedly, and the crushing issue above didn't help things either. As for the cheese, while I am a cheese lover, I don't know what the crumbled queso fresco added here. The cheese lover in me wishes the cheese element were more impactful. Then, we come to the crux of the matter: the protein. I learned from the food-based YouTubers that salt brings out the flavor, and fat carries it; this brisket was lacking in both. The pulled meat was 95% lean, with a couple of small pieces containing any noticeable fattiness that makes brisket so heavenly. I wouldn't go as far as to call it dry, but the lack of moisture was evident. As I ate, I felt some sauce was definitely called for. It would free three birds with one key: add moistness, flavor, and salt. Finally, I was surprised that the sandwich was cold, though I don't know if that's by design. While these minor issues compounded on top of one another led to a less-than-stellar review, all are easily fixed. A different bread, an extra scoop of onion, a sprinkle of salt, a squeeze of sauce, and hopefully some fattier bits of brisket, and we are in four-star territory. Make the sandwich hot, and we might be flirting with five!

I recently had the Porchetta sandwich after a recommendation from a friend, and it didn't really live up to the hype. It was okay. The porchetta was good but the sandwich just wasn't worth anywhere near the $15 price. We had one sandwich with the cherry mostarda and the other with the onion agrodolce per the employees recommendation. I'm glad we did that so we could try both. The mostarda was incredibly sticky to the point where each bite my teeth would feel like they were glued together. The bread however was very very good. The fried potatoes were very good and definitely recommend adding a side to your order. Service was super friendly and very quick turnaround time.

Ingredients are super fresh and tasty. I LOVE the pressed juices, they are a bit up there in price but the bottles are reusuables and a good size. You can also have juices pressed to order which come out tasting so so good. The menu is expanssivee. So far, I am a huge fan of the pita, hummus, labneh, anything with meat (smash burgers and brisket breakfast sando), and they have pretty decent mac. I'm excited to continue eating my way through their options. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The restaurant is bright and bubbling. The servers are very kind and always helpful with menu questions. It can get quite busy but service moves quick. I have ordered ahead and ordered in person and never had an issue. If you are in a rush around lunch definitely do yourself a favor and order ahead. If you have time, the wait is never usually more than 10-15 mins and goes by quick. Total came out to approximately over $40. What's Hot - Menu. Simple and straightforward. It's not a large menu and easy to figure out. - Quality. Pretty delicious, with the exception of the greco fries, which I explain below. For my build-your-own salad, I ordered spicy whipped feta as a topping, which was probably the best part of my salad. The spice doesn't hit you right away, but it's definitely spicy, which my husband and I liked, especially because we have a pretty high tolerance. My husband liked his hot honey chicken wrap. The hot honey was spicy, as well, which is a good thing, because every place is different. The loukoumades was pretty good. No skimping on the toppings. - Location. Fairly easy to find and right by the harbor. As such, it's conveniently located to other attractions, shops, and restaurants. - Price. Fairly good value for money. That we were able to order 4 dishes for approximately $40 is pretty good value. - Service. They use paper containers for the food when dining in, which I like, because it may be more environmentally friendly. There are 2 kiosks where you can order, which is pretty straight forward. What's Not - Service. My issue is about a specific incident that happened while we were there. The staffers were putting our order together at the pickup counter. As such, some items were on trays on the counter, while other items were being put together. There was another customer there, who had his large dog with him. He allowed his dog to put his head and paws on the pick up counter, where our order was being put together. None of the staffers said anything. As such, my husband instructed the other customer to take his dog off the food counter. This other customer's dog did not appear to be a service animal. The other customer responded to my husband that no one else had a problem. The main concern is sanitation. A dog is putting its head and dirty paws on the counter where food is being served. Had the dog put its head and/or dirty paws on our food, or licked our food, or made a mess, or whatever, that would have been a concern. That none of their staff said anything was not a good thing, because it directly affects food sanitation. - Quality. The greco fries are nothing to write home about. Not flavorful and did not stand out. They also skimped on the feta cheese that topped our fries. Would not order again and would not recommend. Also, a couple of the olives in my salad still had the pits in them, which I didn't like. Just something to be aware of. For the loukoumades, all the flavor came from the topping. The fried doughnut holes didn't have any flavor and we're uncertain whether that's intentional. - Portions. The portions tend to be on the smaller side. This is not a place where one dish will fill you up. Final Answer Willing to return, but not a first choice.

We tried 4 different types and every single one tasted super fresh, clean, and just really high quality. You can tell they know what they're doing here, even the way they shuck it is nice and clean, no shell pieces or anything. Their menu actually has like 10+ kinds of oysters, highly selective and premium. I really wish we had more time (and stomach space) to try more. But we already had like 3 dinners planned that night lol so this was more like a "stop by and eat as much oysters as possible" situation. Honestly I'm pretty sure the other food here is just as good, based on what I saw on other tables. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Boston.

(I'm certain the staff are aware that many of their diners express shock, once the price is disclosed...) Many folks simply make an assumption or a guesstimate, as to the price, when they see 'MP' on a menu, and this is usually based upon their prior experiences, ordering such a menu item. So, for example, I was thinking the lobster roll might be in the $40-45 range. So imagine my utter shock, when we received the bill, to see a charge for $69?? I have never in my life had such an expensive lobster roll. Yes, it was delicious, and the housemade potato chips were also great. The slaw was also good (though it was a very tiny amount...I would have liked more). But boy, did that price shock me. I would normally never have voluntarily ordered a $69 lobster roll. It simply never would have occurred to me, that a place would ever charge that much....
