Amazing staff, amazing food, great vibes, great place to hangout with friends & family. I highly recommend this place. Kevin the manager was great!!

Great service but was misled with text message sent to me yesterday about an "Oyster Roast" happening today. Was excited and went but found out the bartender explained she didn't know what that was and they have raw oysters today, 2/21! Service is good but get your marketing and misinformation straight. You're too good for this.

Love coming here! One of my favorite restaurants in Vienna. Very lively happy hour especially on a Friday night. Busy brunch too. Great food, drinks, service, and pleasant decor inside. They also have outdoor patio dining with a fire pit.

Fantastic lively little spot in Vienna for dinner. This is quite a popular spot especially during/after happy hour and without a reservation a party of 2 wait was 20 minutes. They have both indoor and outdoor seating as well as bar seating. Inside is a little loud there are a lot of people talking in here and multiple screens for watching sports. We got the french dip sandwich and the tavern burger, both two items I saw people talking a lot about from Yelp and was not disappointed. The french dip is worth trying as many have mentioned the toasted bread is amazing. I also like that all the spreads/sauces are put on the side. The tavern burger is decently sized and cooked perfectly. Burger toppings are generous and my toppings kept falling out of my burger. The fries are also awesome, nothing special but crisp. They have a lot of drinks to choose from and their cocktails are pretty unique. The "walking liability" has watermelon and vodka and I was told some of their drinks are special in house recipes. I would definitely come back again to try the other items on the menu.

My husband and I have enjoyed Branch Tavern for a date night and saw how family friendly it was. We decided to take our kiddos there this evening. Our server, Joe, could NOT have been more friendly or accommodating. The food was just as good as we remembered and everyone enjoyed their dishes. If you enjoy raw oysters this is definitely your spot, so fresh!

This was our first visit, but like Arnold Schwarzenegger, we'll be back! The food was delicious! Order the crab dip. Service was top-notch...server was friendly and helpful. AND they had outdoor seating and a great indoor ambiance! I had their cheesesteak and it was VERY good (and I'm from Philly so I know about cheesesteaks). Go here and bring people! They'll think highly of you and might even pick up the check!

I met a friend here at about 4pm on a Tuesday. Lots of parking and lots of seating. There's a small patio as well as 2 seating areas that seem to have distinct vibes. You enter the building through the back and the first seating area is more like a casual sit down restaurant. Past the kitchen to the back (which is the section facing Maple Ave.), and it's more of a bar and grill. Our server was friendly and attentive. A lone guitarist was setting up and began playing and singing around 5:45. We were told this was a new feature for every first Tuesday of the month. There is a raw bar menu but I'm not into that. If you are, it's probably worth sampling. I had the Bear Branch Torta. It's described as: buttermilk fried chicken, pork carnitas, sliced ham, chef's pimento cheese, fresh arugula, and roasted red peppers on a rustic telera roll. It was great! I expected it to be a salt bomb but it was not. It does have a fair bit of grease. But with that trifecta of meats, that should be expected. The carnitas, in particular, were very good, with crispified edges. What I really enjoyed is that, as a side option, you can choose the elotes. I think it was a whole ear of corn, cut in two, with cheese and seasoning. I would get this every time instead of fries. I also had a Peroni on draft to wash it all down. If you need a happy hour-ish meet-up place for a few of your buds on a weekday, this is a great place to do it.

Love this place! I cannot believe they never showed up on my search list before. 1. Location: Vienna. convenient spot to meet people. A bit hard to find in the beginning with the door being behind the building although the sign is in the front. 2. Parking: huge lot with lots of spots 3. Food: very delicious 4. Drinks: lots of good options ranging with alcohol to non-alcoholic. 5. Service: excellent. most welcome I've felt. 6. Ambience: fancy and chill at the same time. Big bar area with people drinking at 11 AM! But not in a bad way. Nice big hall to have a large group meals. Excellent for dates, catch ups even business meals. Very versatile space. I will be coming here a lot! now that I know it.

Came here for a work lunch. Got the Philly Cheesesteak and it was really good! Came on a Saturday and it was pretty packed but the service was great at the bar. Want to try this place again for a date night!

Tuesday night $1 oysters.... Amazing... started eating before I zapped a pic!

Food gets 5 stars.. servers get 5 stars plus! So why did I only award 3 stars... it's way way too loud in here. Decibel reading on my phone between 83 and 90 averaging 86! Yes it's a full house but no sound dampening and the brick just amplifies it all... sorry but unpleasant overall. This is in what I'd consider their main or first room as you walk in. Will I be back? Maybe but only if I can figure what might be an off time! If sound not an issue for you than great!

Piece of the Tuna. Looks like ham.

I usually don't write reviews but was majorly disappointed by the Tuna Poke Nachos I had ordered online. Maybe this type of appetizer is not something you should order online but there were about 5-6 pieces of Tuna and way too much wonton while the two types of sauces didn't go well with the very dried up Tuna (my son thought it was bacon at first) or the wonton chips. I've had similar Tuna Nachos at Founding Farmers, Cheesecake factory, and Ned's england deck but the Bear Branch one was the worst. Perhaps my expectations were too high but it definitely was not worth the $20 and do not recommend at all.

    Shakshuka
    Kathryn J.

I enjoyed brunch here with friends this morning! We came by at 1pm and had a brief five minute wait before getting our table for four. The staff were nice and gave us time to order and eat. I enjoyed the diverse options on the menu and ordered the shakshuka. It was fresh and light and it was prepared well. My friends got a salad, falafel dish, and salmon Benedict, and they were all pretty and good! It was really loud in this location, meaning that sometimes we had to yell to each other across the table. By the end of the meal, though, it had gotten a lot quieter and we could enjoy conversation easily.

    French dip
    Ha N.

Service: our waiter was attentive and made sure we were ok during the entire meal. We forgot to say separate bills and he nicely did it for us without hesitation. Food: the ahi tuna nachos were good. My friend had the crab cake sandwich which she enjoyed. The French dip was kinda of bland for my taste. It's looks delicious but the wasn't much flavor with the beef. The fries were great and crispy. Ambiance: we were seated in the back of the restaurant which I never knew existed. It got really busy after 6:30pm. My friend said she likes the front area better to people watch. Note: they do have oyster specials on Tuesday.

My mom is extraordinarily sensitive to anything remotely "spicy"--even black pepper can be a problem, and sometimes arugula! Our server David listened carefully to her concerns and made sure the chef knew exactly what she needed. The kitchen modified her dish accordingly, and she was able to enjoy a delicious meal without worrying about what might be in it. But the food was only part of what made the evening so enjoyable. David and Ceara were both fantastic--warm, attentive, and incredibly personable. They really listened to Mom and made an effort to engage with her. Mom eventually started telling jokes, including a few that were definitely on the bawdy side. David and Ceara were wonderful sports and laughed right along with her. The size of the space is good for some smaller touring performers, and the sound quality has been excellent both times that I have been here. Service was pretty quick and the servers have been friendly. Further, the food that I have tried has been good and fresh, and they have a decent drink selection. While my service was quick, I arrived pretty early so there were only a couple others there at first. They seemingly only had one server for everyone, which is wild and things were more delayed once it got busier. Additionally, the tables are so close together it would be inaccessible if all seats were filled. The row on the other side of my table only had one person, yet it was still difficult for that person to get out because the other table whose backs were facing them had most spots filled. It was hard and disruptive for people to get out of their seats to go to the restroom and such because seats were super close together. Had both sides of the tables been filled, people would have either been stuck where they were or everyone else would have had to get up to let them out. The way that the tables are placed also makes it hard for some seats to see the performer(s) without fully turning their chair (which, given the space issues, wouldnt work for everyone to do). Anyway, I do like this venue, but I hope they reconsider the setup. While this may mean a reduction in premium price seating, it would be a much better experience for attendees.

I will say the restaurant is elegant and beautiful, and the food was savory and sweet just amazing, but it is the staff who went above and beyond to make the high tea memorable. This is my third bridal shower. I have given at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson's corner, and I would go no other place. Let me start out by mentioning a few exceptional people. I started planning this in the beginning of the year and Sriram Hariharan is one of the most giving, caring and supportive person I know. He put me in touch with all the right resources. He would follow up to see how things are going. I would say his detail to customer service and experience is exceptional. Next is Rohit Ray who assisted every step of the way helping me with my attendee numbers , the set up design and more. He was there throughout the whole party. Rohit's kindness and grace that is unwavering. Finally, our server Astrid. She oversaw my last shower in January and I know we were in good hands when I saw her last Saturday. she is truly A+. She made sure the event went smoothly. After the party ended, I received so many calls telling me how elegant the party was, how exceptional the service was. And how wonderful all the food was. Of course I had to partake, so I ordered the special pie, which was a masala, chicken, curry pie, and it was quite good. They need bigger portions for something this good! The other dishes were really good as well, I ate here for restaurant week so I had to have the oysters and also tried the golden beet salad. The reason this wasn't 5 stars was because my golden beet salad was missing the apple dressing vinegrette entirely, and when I asked the server if it had dressing he told me it was the tofu spread that was the dressing, but that wasn't what the menu said when I checked it later. I ate it but it was very plain and dry because my salad was missing dressing. I hope they read reviews and can address this part of the experience! The other dishes I tried which my friend got was the tuna and avocado dip (forgot the name) which was also good even though I don't eat raw fish. The taro chips it came with were yummy. I also enjoyed the fried chicken - tastes like Chick Fil A but Asian style. Finally, the dessert was good, it was a chocolate mousse cake with cherry sauce. Since the sauce was extremely flavorful I forced my husband to share some of the skimpy sauce to dip my pizza crust on it. Luckily the guys had enough of the wonderful fried mozzarella and bread to not be grumpy. One tip that our whole party agreed on was that the sauce was better suited if it was paired with chunks of lobsters instead of of the stuffed short rib raviolis. I was happy with size of my thin crust pizza and it was way more than I could eat. However, I am not sure if I was actually ok with how the ingredients were divided jn the quarter a fourth of the pizza contained olives ,another fourth was the mushrooms, ,another fourth was the prosciutto and for the life of me I could not remember the fourth ingredient. I'm still ponedering whether I am a fan of this. My friend had the Marguerite pizza and she was extremely satisfied with it. As to the place itself, it's nothing fancy, it's just your typical pizza place in a strip mall. It's just ok. One thing I noticed about it is the dim lighting, but to be fair it's a normal complaint for most eating establishments. We all had to break out our IPhone flashlights to read the menu. I wish most eateries would have a dimmer switch by your table so that when you are ordering, there is sufficient lighting as you read the menu and when done can be adjusted to mood lighting. I noticed most of the upper forties and up patrons did the same thing as us when ordering.
