My best friend and I were in town for a girls weekend and just looking for somewhere nearby to grab a quick bite. Service: 0/10 This was the worst part by far. No one greeted us when we walked in, and we even stood at the counter for a bit before having to ask if we could order. No friendliness, no basic customer service, just very cold and awkward. We both got the salad bar, and my friend also ordered garlic bread. We were already halfway through our salads when I went up to ask about it. The way they handled it was honestly wild. The woman at the counter and the guy by the oven just looked at each other like they completely forgot. Which, okay, mistakes happen. But there was zero apology or ownership. Instead, they started arguing with each other about whose fault it was while I was just standing there. Didn't acknowledge me again until they opened the oven and found the bread almost burnt. Then they offered to just scrape off the burnt part like that somehow made it better. My friend likes her bread a little crispier so she ended up taking it, but the whole situation was just uncomfortable and unprofessional. Food: 5/10 The salad bar actually had a decent variety, so I'll give them that. It was fine. The garlic bread was just okay. Overall this place left a bad taste in my mouth. I stopped by into Bear's Pizza & More while spending a few nights in Fort Bragg to visit glass beach, and honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of my visit. The place has a laid-back, hometown vibe--nothing fancy, just warm, busy, and welcoming. You can tell a lot of locals come here, which is always a good sign. I tried the chicken pesto pizza, and it really hit the spot. Plenty of flavor, good balance, and you can tell they don't skimp on ingredients. I also appreciated the salad bar--fresh, simple, and a nice touch considering how many places don't offer one anymore. It made for a great combo without feeling too heavy. It does get busy, especially around dinner time, so expect a little wait, but the staff kept things moving and stayed friendly even when the place was packed. Had to ask if we could sit in the "do not sit past this sign" area as the place was packed and needed somewhere to sit. All in all, Bear's is a solid pick for a casual meal in town. I came across this local gem as my tour of Mendocino County was canceled due to some miss understandings, but the food here looks as good as any place around. The service here was great as the person holding down the cash register gave me advice on what to order. I was thankful of that. After a 3 hour drive and a late hotel check in at the Heritage House, we wanted a simple dinner. What's more simple than pizza? Vinny's was the only pizza place opened, so we decided to try it. We ordered a pint of their local beer. And a large half cheese/ half Chicken, Garlic & Bacon pizza. It took them a while to make a pizza. So long that I wondered; "Did they go all the way to Italy to make the pizza?" When the pizza finally arrived, the guy brought it over to our table and literally just slammed the pizza tray down and walked away. Also he was so careless that his thumb was touching one of the cheese slices. I would usually complain but I was exhausted and had very limited dining options. So, we just made sure not to eat that slice. Pizza was just ok. It tastes like a slightly better version of a frozen pizza. Beer- 2/5: Good enough but not cold enough as drafts should be. It was our first time ordering from here. We ordered an XL , that was half pesto with spinach and sausage. The other half was vegetarian. Both had excellent flavors and tasted great. I had spaghetti with Alfredo sauce and added mushrooms and chicken it came with 2 slices of garlic bread and it was delicious, my husband had a medium Timberwolf Pizza and they sure loaded on the goodies! I ordered a Medium Veggie Pizza and an Elysian Space Dust, and in the most literal sense, I was satisfied. However, I at no point felt particularly comfortable about this - identifying the beer as "Elysian" instead of simply "Space Dust" seemed to confuse the cashiers, which I get to a certain extent, but to be perfectly frank, I was more than irritated about having to repeat "Medium Vegetarian Pizza" on multiple occasions - it wasn't as if that's a particularly complicated request. Pizza was delivered adequately, and I would politely describe it as 'adequate', but I was never followed up on to see if my order worked or not, or more to the point, whether I needed a refill. I attended an impromptu birthday party yesterday and headed to the Boatyard Plaza. What a cool place, very clean with an extra attentive staff... we were at the salad bar and things were quickly replaced ! The pizza was hot, cheesy and as you can see full of toppings . There is ample space for small and large gatherings alike. There is wine and beer available too AND for those that don't wanna go to the location, they have their own delivery. The pizza is always hot and fresh not undercooked or overdone. Staff is upbeat and friendly. Salad bar lunch is a hit with locals. My family are fans of the burgers, it is big and delicious! Mama Bear Chef' Mitch has a Spectacular "Grab and Go" selection changing weekly, not only delicious and a good value but enough for TWO meals! I treat myself to the Prime Rib special of hers at least monthly. She makes sure there is a treat or two available (Brownies, Marshmallow Treats, Banana Bread, Belgian Chocolate pudding for instance) for those of us who like a little sweet something after a meal. The family and I went there for dinner one Saturday night. It's a nice old skool pizza parlor! We ordered a large pizza, half all meat and half garlic chicken bacon, it was delicious! We finished the pizza in no time. We also ordered two orders of their garlic bread, wow, the pizza was good but the garlic bread if I had to rank it was the best!! Crunchy bread but it was soft and had a burst of buttery garlic flavor when you bit into it! Yummmmmm We also ordered the seasoned wedges but I think they forgot about it so when it finally came out, it was a bit over cooked and burnt. No biggie though, everything else was terrific. The fact that it has games is good, but the pizza is not good pizza. Something about the dough is just off and a bit doughy.

Terrible pizza, the old sauce recipe was far better. Why use whole basil leafs in the sauce? The dough tastes like Red Barron box Pizza. Likely won't eat the pizza again even if it's free. Been trying to order burgers for over three months, five separate attempts and the grill was closed an hour or two before the place closes. I have a feeling the underpaid employees just don't want to clean the grill. People say the burgers are good, I guess we'll never know. This place really hates your business. read more

The wife and I had a slight layover on our way to Mendocino to charge the Tesla, and decided to stop here for some food. The place was not busy at all so we weren't sure what to expect and we didn't look up reviews ahead of time. WE LOVED THE FOOD, I ordered the hamburger with added bacon and mushroom and my wife ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. The burger was cooked well and seasoned well, it was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. The bun was a perfect brioche, it was yummy. My wife couldn't finish her spaghetti because of the portion but she enjoyed it and was also packed with flavor, I'm usually salting up everything I eat and didn't need to here at all. We are local to the area and Vinnys (now called Bears pizza) is our favorite pizza place. If the locals like it, you know it's good. It's spacious inside , the staff is friendly. There is an arcade (great little arcade!) the parking lot is big... the beer is cold and the pizza is great! Never go to round table in Fort Bragg. I hate that place. It was 8.15 on a Wednesday night We had been fishing, and were staying at the surf motel. Boat parking at the motel was full, we were stuck to find food on foot or lose our parking spot. Called them 4 times.. Their phone was not working We walked over there at 8.20. Lights on, door open, open sign lit.. Posted closing time was 9pm.. We walked in, they asked if we called an order in.. Decided to place an order for pick up on our way out of Fort Bragg while visiting family. Wanted to try a new local place, so my wife called in an order at Vinny's Pizza. Well, we didn't know the name changed to Bear Pizza, so we were driving around the shopping center for about 10 minutes trying to figure out where this place was located. Until we saw a Vinny's Pizza deliver car parked at Bear Pizza. We put 2 and 2 together and arrived. Upon entering we paid for the pizza, which was quite expensive, $35 for a large pizza! Then we asked for 3 ranches for our pizza and it came to just over $40. So as we waited around we looked at the condiments and noticed a variety of herb packets to put on your pizza, which we initially thought was cool, but later became a red flag for pizza flavor. So we grabbed our food and since we had the pup with us we had to eat it in the car. The pizza was filled with black olives and not so much mushroom or pepperoni. I took a bite and it was really bland. So I dipped it in the ranch and the ranch was watery and bland as well. Now we realized why they had seasonings for the pizza. Their pizza had no salt in it. I was bummed we paid for ranch. I took away 1 star for bland pizza. I took away another star for bland ranch. I took away another star for value. And I took away the last star for the name. I know they want to keep their reviews on the well known search engine who's name I will not mention, but it's very confusing for new customers. Overall, I would not recommend this place to eat at.
