I would like to start off by saying that this is the first review that I have ever done so that in itself says a lot... I had been very nervous about shopping for the perfect engagement ring for the longest time because I honestly felt like everyone was out to just get my money and run. I, like many others, Googled "best jewelers in Jacksonville." Beards Jewelry came up and their pictures were very pleasing and their reviews were above par, so I decided to at least check out the location. Upon entering their store I noticed how clean and organized it is. There is a very wide selection of jewelry, anything you could possibly think of. I was greeted by the owner and he helped me pick out the perfect ring for my girlfriend. When I told him that money was an issue, he told me that we could work something out. I showed him a picture of the ring that my girlfriend wanted and he gave me the exact same thing. I would have paid double elsewhere. I do not regret my decision by going to Beards. After hearing a few positive reviews my boyfriend and I decided to look for my engagement ring here. Perhaps it was my mistake for educating myself on the 4c and beyond! The first time we went in we were just running errands and it was raining so I will admit I felt judge due to our appearance when we walked in... I explained to him I only wanted a GIA cushion cut "hearts and arrows" aka the triple E (sig ideal cut polish symmetry) after being told they don't have any in store to offer... Then attempted to tell me what I wanted didn't exist?! Baha He then got his gemologist and to be quite honest the month I spent researching different diamonds from fancy, old mine to modern brilliant I felt like I was the GIA grad. He then took down what we were looking for and said he will call us once they have it in. Well he did called and since we are remodeling our house we got somewhat distracted and forgot to call back. Well we decided let's just drive over and see what they have well the man had no memory of what we were looking for, "lost" the paper he filled out. Not to mention he had a hard time quoting a setting since I want a bezel floating halo. Okay I get I need the diamond first but I can find them everywhere online and price them out with Art Deco rings yet you can't even give me a number even if it differed by 1 to 3k heck even 5k up or down!! At that point we realize this was not the place for us. I will say as we passed through they seem to have beautiful rings but I mostly noticed G-H has their higher color. I'm sure someone who is not as particular as myself would find something amazing but if you're going for that special wow factor I'm don't think this would be the place to go. read more

My fiance bought my engagement ring from Beard's in the summer. He told me what a wonderful experience he had purchasing the ring, especially considering that he had practically no working knowledge of what might look best on my finger. After he proposed (with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen), the ring was a size too big. I heard horror stories from my friends who purchased their rings at places like Kay and Zales, who had to wait weeks to have their rings resized. So I finally got ready to give my ring back for a while, but when I dropped it off, Beards told me it would be ready on a few hours! And it was! Then, last week, I knocked out one of the small diamonds on the band of my ring. I was worried that I would have to replace the diamond and that it would take forever to get fixed. But my fiance dropped it off, and they immediately replaced the diamond and shined up my ring good as new. Beards has impressed me greatly, and I will never buy fine jewelry from anywhere else.
