I've visited this location a few times with family and it's become one of my favorites. It's a great spot for our larger group and the team takes good care of my family each time, from keeping our drinks filled to managing our tickets and coupons. It's so nice to have a space we can enjoy as a group and relax. Our pizzas abs breadsticks were delicious! Between our group we had 4 pizzas, garlic cheese sticks and a salad. Just visited this location with a group of 27 people. It was 10 families visiting to play volleyball at the Expo center. Service was amazing and food was delicious. Our server was so friendly, accommodating and worked so hard to keep our drinks filled. We will visit here again the next time we need a fantastic meal! This is my favorite pizza. Bearnos is a local legend in Louisville. My dad used to get my brother and I this pizza every Friday when we were kids. I love everything about it. We usually get a large two topping pizza(pepperoni and sausage) and it runs about $17 with a coupon. So to me the only downfall is the price of the pizza. It is a tad expensive for pizza. However I do recommend it and we try to go at least once every couple months. 5 out of 5 and we will be back always. read more

I frequent this location often during lunch breaks. It still the same great tasting Bearno's but they do not do the daily lunch buffet. They only do it on Fridays from 11am-2pm. They do offer a 6 meals under $9.99 lunch special. This location is larger in size and has two old school arcade games. Area 51 and police trainer. Service here is hit and miss. Sometimes you will get the waiter/waitress who just sits behind bar and won't approach you. Other times you do get helpful ones who will actually come to you to take orders. read more

Of course, locals know that Bearno's is a chain in the area, but it's not a national chain. I've had Bearno's many times in many spots, but never in the Lively Shively. The pizza is always good, we were hoping for the buffet, though. Has that gone away with COVID, or just at this location? The kids were with us, so we got the All-Meat and a Pepperoni pizza. They were both good, but the Garlic Cheese sticks are the highlight. They were short staffed and still got our food to us pretty quickly! The decor is pretty dated and the atmosphere feels tired. Bearno's has good food for a good value. I got the chicken parm and my husband the lasagne. The parm was about $10 - it features a large amount of penne pasta, pasta sauce, chicken, and melted mozzarella cheese and comes with a side of garlic bread. The chicken is thick and tender. The penne was Al dente. The marinara sauce is a very chunky, which is to my preference, but I know others might not like large chunks of tomato. The flavor is deep and robust - I was surprised by how good their marinara is. With restaurants charging so much these days I do recommend Bearno's - they offer quality food at reasonable prices. Came here with a friend to order some pizzas since we got finished checking out the Kentucky Expo Center. Didn't realize this was a bar too. For a person that's never been here, it's like a old country buffet but with pizzas and salads. They serve alcohol too. Parking is tight. Prices are fair. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Tried the buffet for the first time, and just felt like it wasn't worth the cost. The pizza was alright however, but the options were very limited. They had only maybe 3-4 different pizzas, spaghetti, breadsticks and a salad bar out. Wished they could've offered some desserts. I feel like I could've gotten more variety if I've went to an asian buffet instead which is a dollar or 2 less than the price to eat here. Ok so visiting from Michigan.... on a recommendation from a friend we stopped here. Pulled in and only one other car was present. We speculated. But based on the recommendations we decided to give it a whirl. Super friendly wait staff. Clean environment. Great music. Children were there dancing and having fun. Ordered garlic bread ... not what I expected but with the garlic sauce it was delicious. Also order a sausage bacon pizza. Super good tons of cheese no skimping here. I've been here twice now and to be honest they are pretty nice people at least the times that I have come in. They are pretty quick with getting your order in and out. The people are all pretty funny to me. I came in and ordered and while I waited the person that took my order provided me with a beverage for my wait, she also checked with me to ensure if I needed any Parmesan or red peppers. This is hands down the best delivered pizza in Louisville. In my area there is a problem with delivery chains. None of them deliver on time, if it even gets there at all. ALL of the major chains in my delivery area are like that. Papa John's, Domino's, Pizza Hut all in Shively don't deliver worth spit. Even Local places like Annie's, HORRIBLE. But Bearno's..... Bearno's is fresh, hot, and PERFECT EVERYTIME. Its a couple extra bucks more than the other places but WELL WORTH EVERY CENT. I have never written a negative review. I ordered a large pizza (with coupon 18.99) and an individual. Included a $5 tip total $31.22 I was delivered a small pizza and an individual. When questioned I was told he was the owner and the order is correct. It is to feed a busy doctor office that is working over time in the Covid-19 environment. This man was rude and his only response was he could take it back. Also I should add he didn't have a receipt for me or did I get one emailed as he said I would. We will never order here again. Haven't ate at bearno's in years and decided to give it another try. I ordered there special which was a super large for $19.99. And added bacon which made it $27.46. I am ok with that. the issue I have is that I order a white pizza with chicken and bacon. When it gets to me I see I have a red sauce pizza (recipe says lite) with no bacon and chicken. so after everything I spent $44.49 on a pizza that tastes like cardboard that my kids won't eat and 2 order of meatballs that are super small. I would lo make sure I let everyone one know about this experience and to go somewhere else. read more

Less than 1star Delivery. In February we ordered a couple of pizzas, none containing anchovies, when the pie arrived they were covered with anchovies. Not just anchovies, OLD anchovies that should have been tossed. Ordered online at 5pm. Online quoted a time of 7:01 pm delivery (kinda crazy to wait 2 hours for a pizza, but the weather was bad and the roads were icy). I got a call at 5:36pm specifically asking about the special instructions we had put in the order--no cheese on one half. When the pizza didn't arrive I called and asked about it (7:20pm). She promised it was on the way. It arrived at 7:43pm. When we brought it in and checked it there was cheese on the whole thing. I called the store back and requested another corrected pizza. She said she would "have to turn the ovens back on"??? It could take another hour or two to get the corrected pizza. Seems ridiculous. Totally turned us off of ever ordering Bearnos again. read more
