Stopped by Marco's Pizza on Dixie and ended up waiting a bit longer than expected--over 30 minutes--but there was only one worker handling everything, and she was clearly doing her best. I decided to just sit down and wait it out. When the pizza finally came out, it was loaded with meat and tasted really good--definitely worth the wait. I downloaded the app to make ordering quick and easy. It just so happened they were running a 50% off pizza special, so that worked out. I ordered a half and half pizza for pickup. I opted for curbside pickup, but when I got there, it was unclear where to park or what to do. I went inside and my pizza was still cooking (even though it had been 20 minutes since I ordered). There were only two employees, and both were moving super slow like there was no sense of urgency with their job. Typically, when you work in the food industry you have a little fire under your feet to get things moving quickly. Once my pizza came out the employee handed it to me. They forgot my jalapeno ranch cup, so I had to go back inside and ask for it. The pizza wasn't quite half and half - 4 pieces of one and 2 pieces of the other. Definitely not impressed with this place - slow, inaccurate pizza, and the taste is subpar. There is just nothing special about the sauce or crust. I will not be back. read more

This review isn't about the food. Marco's has some really good pizza. I prefer them over the more well known chains. This review is regarding the service. Ordering online is convenient but the site was giving some challenge. Once we placed our order, the 35 minute quoted time turned into an hour plus. The notifications related it was delivered when we hadn't seen anyone for at least 10 minutes, we tried calling the store. Ring, ring, ring...finally an automated recorded hold....hold..hold..hold..finally a person who asked to put be on now a silent hold...hold...hold....after 12 minutes I hung up because I really had no idea if anyone would come back to my call. Another person in my party called and finally talked to a woman who was frazzled and abrupt. In the midst of that conversation the pizza arrived. The driver said he was new and there were a lot of new people working the store. I give grace to training but the whole experience left a negative vibe with our party. Marcos pizza was always a chain pizza place that you can find almost in every major city or state Except Lousiville Kentucky until recently. The city finally got its 1st Marcos located right on busy Dixie Highway. I usually don't frequent Dixie Highway too often as I'm way on the other side of town. However my daughter had a volleyball game nearby so it was a great opportunity for us to finally try Marcos now that it had arrived in the city. The setup is delivery or take out only. So we went with takeout as we were far from home and I am familiar with the area enough to know a good spot nearby with park benches on This beautiful September day in Lousiville. I walked in placed the order after the workers kinda scrambled around a few minutes before taking my order. We went with a large cheese and a large pepperoni and was quoted a 20 min wait Which was closer to a 35 minute wait. The pizza itself featured larger slices compared to other national chain delivery pizza places. Flavor to me was just ok. Very safe and very bland. Kinda gave you the state fair pizza or department store pizza vibe. Not bad by any means but nothing to on knock your socks off. Overall it's cool to have the Marcos pizza option now and I'm curious how many hey will expand into the city. If place it in the medium of all the national chain pizza places our city has. Definetly not the worse but not quite to the level of the top ones for me. read more

Marco's Pizza finally comes to Kentucky, well Valley Station/Dixie Hwy area. I would consider this end of town lucky to get this place and Five Guys will be opening nearby as well. So I went after work the day they opened probably not the best idea but, it was a Monday and that is typically a slow day/night for businesses, I was wrong. I had tried to use their mobile app earlier in the day but couldn't get it to work. I go there and it is pretty packed inside, I was able to order at the counter but, I was not given an order number or a wait time. There was some confusion with some people on the line as to who ordered and who didn't . The inside is very small, no chairs, no tables, no dine in, they do have delivery. Not much standing room either. As I was waiting as what seemed forever, a few people came back in with messed up orders, not surprised and I expected that beings they just opened. Many got impatient and frustrated having to wait so long, as for me, yes I was tired, impatient, hungry but, they did just open so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. One of the managers apologized and thanked us for our patience and cooperation, we were given gift certificates and a coupon for free cheese bread. After about an hour I did receive my pizza and cheese bread. The employees and managers were very awesome. Taylor who worked the front counter really kept it together. I forget the female managers name but she was also great. I will return here but, I will give them time to work their kinks out. Dixie Hwy is happy to have you Marco's Pizza. read more

Ordered several pizzas for a birthday party. The flavor was ok but the toppings were very skimpy, as in, barely any on the pizzas.

I ordered the Ultimate Magnifico- with Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Old World Pepperoni, & Old World Sausage. This pizza is SO good! The sauce is seasoned well and the toppings are good quality. It is a little greasy but I like that in a pizza so it's perfection for me. The delivery driver this location has is very nice also. My recommendation- try it at least once! read more

First time customer. Ordered over the phone. The guy that took our order was awesome ...courteous and professional and superhelpful since I'd never ordered. I was totally floored when the food arrived. It looked almost to good to eat. One of the best looking pies I've had. We ordered a large combination and a large cheese pie...cheesy bread and wings. Everything was hot fresh and done exactly good pizza should be done. I was hooked by the looks and smell alone... but then I tasted it and WOAH man!!!! We ordered Marcos tonight for the first time and it will be our last! We ordered a thin crust 2 topping that was satisfactory but not great. Then we ordered the chicken florentine with thick crust. The crust was not thick and was so hard that you could hardly bite it. The 3rd pizza was beef, ham, mushrooms, onion and green pepper. The beef was over cooked and pieces the size of a pea. The onions, peppers and mushrooms were basically raw. Then to top it off we ordered the cinnasquares, they were soaked in grease/butter and the icing tasted artificial. Food was delicious. The delivery was fast. But when I got to my drink and I got a diet Pepsi instead of a Pepsi which I ordered. I called and she said the door Dasher should have called me to see what I wanted since there was no Pepsi. And that's where I disagree. It's their job to fulfill the order not the dashers job.
