Beautiful Day is somewhat hidden in a shopping center and I almost missed it driving by. The inside is charming and the decor is modern boho. I ordered a drip coffee with oat milk and the breakfast hash which had sweet potatoes and crispy fingerling potatoes topped with an enormously delightful amount of kale. The kales was light, airy, salty and absolutely delicious. The sweet potatoes were roasted well. The only thing that wasn't my personal preference was the fingerling potatoes. They were a little too crunchy for my taste. But I think that's just me. The coffee was so good. Like so so good. Smooth and bold without being too acidic. I thought about how good it was all day! There is outdoor seating. And bar top seating. Looking forward to returning. read more

Happy to find this gem of a breakfast and lunch spot. We ordered the frittata (perfect, not overcooked) and the poke bowl (well-balanced). As others have noted, portions were on the small size so if you're looking for big plates for cheap today this isn't your place. If you want healthy and delicious and don't mind paying for quality, come here and your body will thank you. The house made "hot sauce" is made from Fresno peppers and, while flavorful, is not at all spicy. They really need a second version that adds on some habanero or a hotter pepper to add to the good base sauce they have. read more

Had a very delicious and filling brunch here with my family. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff was professional and accommodating. We were seated quickly and served refreshing drinks. The decor was tastefully selected and was very stylish. Each item on the menu had a sense of being different but with familiar flavors that seemed to work well with each other. Came by here for brunch on a Sunday. The place was a bit difficult to find. Google maps took us to a strange corner of the shopping plaza. We each had one of their tea drinks and shared an entree each: Hotcakes - very deliciously buttery and rich. The tangy blueberry compote complimented it nicely. Texture is slightly chewy. Frittata - good, but could have been fluffier. A bit on the bland side for someone who has sensitivities to salt. Could have used a sauce. The Kale Hash - Deliciously creamy and crispy potatoes with crispy kale on top. Had a sauce that was good, but definitely spicier than anticipated. We got a side of sausage and bacon for $5 each. Bacon strips were teeny tiny and it was $5 for two strips. Sausage was good, but came in two very thin patties and were on the saltier side. We were a bit shocked by the price / portion size and the waitress explained its due to the high quality of the meats. Service was OK. The place looked kinda of full upon arrival. Took awhile after drinks for someone to take our food order. It says to ask for water if you want it...I asked for water and never got it. Since it was so busy we had someone come by to try and clear our table 2-3 times while we were finishing up our meal. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, not too overpowering, making it an ideal treat. I also had the avocado toast, which was beautifully presented with a perfectly cooked egg and fresh radish slices, adding a nice crunch. Amazing find! We usually stay in Palm Desert but I made sure to make the (short) drive into La Quinta to go to Beautiful Day every time I'm in town. Everything my husband and I ate was spectacular. Their gluten free options were absolutely amazing! We recommended this restaurant to all the PD friends we have and will definitely be returning. Oh, and the restaurant is so cute and vibey! I'd like to start by stating that we are not vegan nor vegetarian however we do enjoy vegan and vegetarian food. Mom picked this place out. We were greeted very nicely and quickly were serviced. We immediately ordered for the kiddos, a pancake of the 7 year old. Unfortunately, the kiddo did not like it as it was "sour" is how she described it. Mom had the avocado toast with the radish and furikake and i had the huckleberry hotcakes along with the crispy garlic potatoes. Food was great, although the kid did not like her pancake. I really wish they would disclose that the pancake is not traditionally made pancake, somewhere on the kids menu. I would definitely return, maybe with out the kids. read more

This was my first time here, I ordered Grandpa's Waffle have to say that I didn't get what I ordered because it's nothing like what it was supposed to be. I was a fool for spending 18.00 plus 7.50 for a dried out piece of chicken. Like were's the pecans and I got very little syrup, I ask for more and got like a table spoon more in a tin cup. The whipped crme frache was soft and made things soggy. I do have to say the canned soda was great. I was going to bring some friends back, but I don't think I'm going to take the chance on another bad meal. The place was clean and the waiter was very friendly. A beautiful culinary experience with super cool ambiance, an easy 5 Star review that was unfortunately demoted one star by a truly snotty hostess yesterday morning. Check my 200+ reviews, I never gripe about this stuff but this was beyond the pale. My wife's party waited a couple minutes at the unattended check in stand, finally sat down at table in half full restaurant to get away from the front entrance heat, only to be berated by hostess for not waiting, worse still, a phone reservation was made with "Tyler" but then my wife was essentially called a liar, being informed that "we don't take reservations". My husband is vegan and 'Beautiful Day' offers a ton of vegan and vegetarian options,not just a side dish of potatoes and a plain avocado toast, so you can call it a vegan friendly place. Service: We arrived around 10 am. on a week day after Memorial weekend, and we were the first people there to be served, so there was no wait, and we were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is kids friends and offers kids menu and crayon to my son as soon as we sat down. The servers were friendly and made sure we were taking care of. Atmosphere: The restaurant was clean and well designed. The seat and table were comfortable. Drink: A full page of drink options on the menu I had the matcha drink. I would say it was very basic and not the top match drink I've had. I would say. Food: We ordered 3 items *Huckleberry pancakes 4/5 It was good I love the right sweetness of the sauce and the heavy cream was nicely balanced with the pancake. Yum! *Mushrooms tartine (vegan) 5/5 My husband loves everything about this if you Area mushroom lover definitely try this one out ! *Breakfast Hash(vegan) 4/5 good portion to share the fingerling potatoes was nicely cooked among kale and other roots vegetables.
