Girls we've found the new brunch spot in La Quinta! I knew I was going to love this place and it totally didn't disappoint! I've been eyeing a Beautiful Day for awhile now as the menu looked promising and the decor is super cute mid century modern Palm Springs vibes. I convinced my girlfriends to come for brunch and everyone was wowed by the service, food, and atmosphere. Beautiful day has all of the trendy vibes without being pretentious. The restaurant was inviting and the staff are absolutely lovely. We felt welcomed and the service throughout was stellar. Everyone couldn't be nicer and despite being busy on the weekend I felt like they had a pretty good pace going. The menu here is fantastic and it was really hard to narrow down the choices. Pricing was also reasonable for the ingredients and uniqueness of the dishes. Drinks all around were good. They have specialty lattes and teas, nice little selection. Love that they support local themselves and had CaliRosa tea which I love from a nearby store. The mango tea was perfectly sweet and refreshing. My friends liked their fresh squeezed juices and iced lattes. The food was truly outstanding and everyone is now a fan of this place. My friends had the gorgeous ricotta toast and huckleberry pancakes. I had the sausage breakfast burrito and it was truly one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. The egg was cooked to perfect and there was plenty of protein. The cheese was melty and the side salsa was a perfect pair to give the burrito a little kick without being overpowering. I've been dreaming of this burrito and really can't wait to go back to get it again. I am a mega fan of Beautiful Day and I'll be shouting from the rooftops so all will know. This is a great farm to table cafe in the heart of LaQuinta. I came on a Saturday in March during the BNP tennis tournament so, needless to say it was very busy at 9am, which is really nice to see. I'm here bartending the event and had some time to kill before my busy shift, so I searched and found this great place! It's been surprisingly cold this week so I sat at the bar. They really have a great crew of people working as a team here, I got to see how they all worked together as all the tables including the bar were full within 30 minutes. The atmosphere is very bright, clean, white walls, nice countertop bar and lots of light. It with lounge areas to relax while you wait and they have a patio as well with ample shade coverage. The menu is very simple for a brunch place but great selections nonetheless and if you scan their menu app you can see legit pictures of all the dishes. I got the big breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes and fresh sourdough toast. The eggs were perfectly scrambled fluffy and not dry at all, the bacon was thick and cooked to the perfect. Now the potatoes these were perfection, they had the flavor. the thickness, the crispness mmm so good. I had some of their BD hot sauce great flavor of shishito peppers but not hot at all just full of flavor. And now for the sourdough, it was very fresh had great thickness and not too dense. It went great with everything on the plate, especially the fresh blueberry rhubarb jam they had for their seasonal jam. All in all a great first time experience and I will be back. The food is SO fresh, YUMMY, and perfect if you're into healthy options or have allergies. I ordered the big breakfast and gonna come back tomorrow. Every bite was heavenly!!!! I don't understand why this has such a high rating as this place will not be to everyone's taste. I'll give them high points for creativity and cooking, but low on atmosphere, selection and service. Seems like it wants to be a vegan restaurant but accomodates other tastes by letting you add an egg ($3 a piece), bacon or chicken. Coffee is $5. Make sure you read the menu before you go to be sure there is something that interests you. It's delicious, but not your typical breakfast fare. Our server had long hair hanging to her shoulders - attractive but a no-no in the restaurant industry; should be tied behind the head or in a bun while serving. We asked her what "Mami Sauce" is (in several items on the menu); she said it's based on shishito peppers and, I think, yogurt. We asked why it's called that and she shrugged and said "I don't know." We never found out. (I'm guessing the name suggests it adds umami flavor.) Restaurant interior is pretty stark, the plastic chairs are uncomfortable, and the knives and forks are undersized and gold-colored, for some reason. This is the cutest little spot in an unassuming mall. A nice little wine/mocktail/ tea/ coffee menu was unexpected as they close at 2! But it also means it's mimosa time! Very bright, airy, and minimalist interior. This is a cute spot. The breakfast hash was a little too greasy/oily for my liking and heavy on the salty kale. I took a few bites and felt it was enough. The ricotta toast was so good though and nice to offset the heaviness of the hash. The ratio of cheese and fresh fruit was perfect and a nice light breakfast dish. I also ordered bacon on the side but should have requested it crispy because it was a little on the soggy side. I don't want to be able to fling my bacon around lol but that's my preference. I'll just ask next time. The Chaga Matcha was well received by my friend who is particular about matcha tasting too powdery at different places. She approved of this one. Grandpa's waffle was awesome and sweet. It could almost be too sweet if eaten alone so I'd definitely recommend sharing it or getting a side of something a little more savory to pair with it. The Cherry Pomegranate Latte was alright. Tasted like a cream soda which is not entirely what I expected in a tea but I'm glad to have tried it. We ordered the salad with tofu, potatoes and a chicken salad sandwich. The portions were very generous. The salad was HUGE. It is definitely enough for two people. The kale and everything in the salad was fresh and delicious. The potatoes edges were crispy but not oily. The chicken salad sandwich was thick and the ingredients were fresh.
