I just had the most delicious Tonkotsu Miso Ramen in La Quinta! Craved ramen and found this place situated in a shopping center adjacent to Costco. Only 13 minutes from La Quinta Resort & Club. The place was busy, until I realized there's a bunch of people waiting for the takeaways or phoned in orders. Friendly waitresses asking if it's dine in or takeout. I smiled and said dine in and they got me a table. Did I say it was busy? I came around 7p on a Thursday and it was full of locals. Great energy through the restaurant. It sure does have a welcoming vibe to it. Thanks for a delicious dinner! It hit the spot :)

This has been my go to ramen place for years! Our server was very attentive making sure we were okay and did not rush us at all. The food is always amazing! I always recommend this place to my family and friends. The place is very clean as well!

I've been to some more popular ramen spots in LA and was surprised by Torakichi. It's not the best but certainly better than some I've had in the city. Pretty darn good and authentic for the desert which I'd say, traditional Asian fare is not as well represented. I got the spicy tonkotsu in the spiciest option. It comes with thin noodles but I requested thick. Noodle texture had a great bite but seemed thin for a thick noodle. The broth was full-flavored and solid. The spiciest option was actually hot and they got the level just right for me while still being enjoyable. Like many other ramen places, you can get a refill of noodles for just $3. I always try to portion out my broth so I can get at least one refill. The noodles come out piping hot so it also heats up the broth left in the bowl. Makes me feel like I'm getting a whole second bowl for just three bucks!

3.5 stars rounded up! The geso fry and potato croquettes here were delicious and nicely fried and we ordered two of the tonkotsu black garlic ramens. The meat was not good at all--slightly tough with a weird flavor to the point I did not finish mine. However the ramen itself was good and the waitress was attentive.

I have sat there before in the past and the service was excellent. Today I went in at 3:41 PM. Ordered my food and paid for my food for a to go order. Several parties were seated after me and still got their food before me and I left at 4:12. They need to work on this because I felt like I was left out. And I left a 15% tip now I wish I didn't

Found this gem near the resort and were pleasantly surprised how good it was! Plenty of parking and we were seated right away. We ordered chicken karaage, garlic edamame, and gyoza; all the apps were very good. We ordered the mild spicy tonkotsu ramen, black garlic ramen, and chicken ramen. The broth was good, eggs were perfectly cooked. The noodle serving size was slightly smaller than what we are used to, but the prices reflected that. Service was prompt and friendly. A good ramen shop in the desert.

Im from out of town, specifically up north. I came down to visit friends and family, to enjoy they're company. Many of them recommend me to visit this place, because they love the food!! So a group of us went, immediately felt uncomfortable, one specific server she had glasses and red hair made us feel like we couldn't even ask for help or order our food. Every time we wanted something we were to nervous to ask the waiter for help. Especially when we noticed she kept rolling her eyes and grunting at other customers who were asking for service. I strongly believe that if you hate your job, it isn't for you and they should not work in customer service. Don't get me wrong the food was AMAZING!!!!! You just have terrible service from that one young lady. Getting upset that people are coming INTO your restaurant to eat and enjoy the food. Only for it to be a really bad experience because of ONE server.

Probably the most flavorful ramen we have ever had. We had a couple of pork dishes and they were both fabulous. Will definitely be back.

Ordered the stir fried squid which was really delicious. Great flavor, we loveeee squid. The tofu soup was really good too. Love that they give an egg to crack on top - that set it apart and took it up a level. The kimchi pancake was decent too, but not as crispy as I usually like it. Side dishes hit the spot! Especially the fish cake. When we ran out, they quickly brought more. Highly recommend Maru. Amazing service and great atmosphere. The best kbbq in the desert!

LOCATION: Very nice retail location with lots of parking options. FACILITY: Excellent buildout, functional for the grill set up but not huge. MENU: Not totally easy to understand so we tried to ask questions but ended up a bit frustrated and just went for combo thinking we'd find what we liked. FOOD PREP: Raw plate was very professional and easy on the eyes. FOOD QUALITY: For the few things we liked it was good, not amazing but since we cooked ourselves maybe we screwed it up. Came to find out you can have their cooks grill for you and serve your table. As I lived in Asia I have visited many similar grills I am a rookie but never had these issues. WAITSTAFF: Not very helpful and maybe a bit on the rude side. We asked questions and got answers that made no sense. I wish I could have asked the robot. I did have to use my phone to understand what some of the offering were. OVERALL VALUE: Not good, very expensive and a disappointing experience for our visit. TIP: Maybe study the menu online before arriving, there is a lot of food. Our leftovers we had to cook at our table before we left as they can't send you home with raw meat I get tht. While it said $107 F1 combo would serve 1-2 people, in my world it could have easily served 4.

I was so incredibly impressed with Da Chef Noodle, I felt actually giddy joy when discovering it existed and then even more excited once I learned the food is as good as you think it is going to be when you walk in. Staff was low key but kind and helpful. I popped in on accident one night when I was in the area and have ordered several times since. My first fortune cookie read: You are in the right place for something unforgettable. And boy, were they right! The roast pork was sweet, tangy balanced perfect with salty. The walnut shrimp might be the best I've ever had and I've lived all over the world. Typing this now, I can't wait to go back. I'm new out here to the valley and didn't expect to find such incredibly delicious Chinese food. So grateful for this find!

I've been several times, the first time about 3 weeks after it opened. Didn't write a review then, or did I? Anyway... It is about the size of a Starbucks lobby, complete with standard decorative restaurant applications. There's a couple of tables and a half dozen booths to sit in. Soda selection is limited, and they do have a few adult beverages there as well. I don't drink, so I usually don't check out the drink menu. Not to make the staff seem too stereotypical, but as soon as I heard the yelling in the kitchen, with the language of the natives, I knew from the first visit, this was gonna be at the very least, a tasty meal. This visit was not a disappointing one. I ordered the potstickers, and an order of combo lo mein. Very good and very filling. And all the flavors were very authentic. I will say the service is hot and miss, but only because the language barrier is somewhat thick. But, I really don't need to ask for anything else past the meal being set, because that's ultimately what matters, in my opinion. As long as we communicate, the plates and cups aren't thrown at me, I'm a happy camper. I feel like this place is a little more popular for take out, but I think it is also worthy of a sit in meal. I'm having the duck next time... Thanks!
