I'm 38, almost 39 and the past couple of years I started to notice a little bit of sagging and fullness in my neck and super loose skin on my upper eyelids. It's been difficult to apply makeup on my eyes the past couple of years. What I liked about facetite is it tightens the neck as well as my lower face and I definitely had fullness in my lower face. Procedure day was great! I took some Valium to help me relax. Dr. Liu carefully marked me and made sure I knew what he was going to do and that I was happy with the plan. Numbing me up was the worst part, but even so, it was completely tolerable, especially with the Valium on board. He was gentle and took his time and after just a couple minutes I was numb and then felt no pain the rest of the procedure. He had some good music playing, I was able to talk if I needed to and he made sure to check in with me throughout the treatment. When we were done his extremely kind and knowledgeable assistant put a compression wrap on me, and then I was on my way home. When I got home I started icing and kept my head elevated. I took two doses of pain meds but honestly I probably didn't even need it. The next morning I woke up with zero pain, unless I touched the treatment areas. But I'm on day three and haven't needed a pain med, except for that first day. I only have three tiny sutures for the facetite. One behind each ear and one of the chin. My neck is SNATCHED and my eyes are like they were 20 years ago. No more wrinkling when I put on eyeliner or creasing of my makeup as the day goes on and I'm so happy with this whole experience. These are all products that we use anyways, why not get them from local producers instead of online or from commercially produced corporate retailers? The Heliotrope bath salts made my skin so soft, and it left me totally exfoliated and very relaxed. I love how my bathroom remained fragrant from the bath salts for a couple of days afterwards. I had noticed the start of a sniffle and a slightly sore throat when I tried the Eucalyptus shower tablet, and it cleared it all up, sore throat and all. I was amazed! I'm planning to go back to get some more to share with my Mom and other loved ones. There are many wonderful things here, and they are genuinely friendly and gracious with their knowledge of the products that they carry. For the first two visits, he was moving in the right direction with my hair -- I asked him to highlight my hair and help me blend it with the silver/gray growing in, toning everything ashy. After the first visit, my hair started to get brassy. He toned it between visits. After the second visit, he added some more highlights and did a better job toning out the brassiness and moving toward ash. On the third visit, I told him we were close and I just wanted some low lights on the silver roots growing in to blend things better, and also to continue toning everything a grayer/ashier color. When he was done, I was a full brunette again. He dyed right over the highlights he had previously put in. I was stunned. In follow-up text messages, he dug his heels in and said he did exactly what I asked. In what world, would I want a stylist to undo all the work (not to mention, damage) of lightening my hair in an effort to adapt to my natural silvering hair? His solution was "go swimming a couple of times and some of the highlights are going to start to show." He later said that the dyes he used are made to wash out within 20-26 washes. So, I paid him $160 for a job that was just going to wash out? I could've done that myself. Avoid Kevin Matthews, he has no interest in hearing what you want done with your hair. And if he makes a mistake, he has no interest in owning it. As for the Face & Body Emporium... the manager spoke with him, but because he's an independent contractor, they have no recourse to support their customers. So whoever you choose here, know that if you have the misfortune to encounter a stylist who damages your hair, there is no accountability here. None.

There's a little table to the right where you place your shopping bags (if you have any from the market or food court). They also have hand sanitizer for you to use before entry. I visited on 3.6.2022 around lunch time. There were 2 ladies at the counter, none of whom greeted me. As they talked, I walked around looking at products and they did not at any time come out from behind the counter to ask if I needed assistance. I was disappointed that they did not have much product in stock. I suppose the whole covid thing may have something to do with delayed shipments and whatnot, but it was sad to see some empty shelves. After looking over everything, I walked out buying 2 things. When I got up to pay, I asked one of the ladies if they had any products from their Snail line or the sunsticks. She replied, "We're all out of those." And with that I paid and left. She wasn't very friendly and made no attempt to check on when they would be getting them. She didn't try to offer similar products either. After leaving the store, I realized I didn't even check in on Yelp, but it's all good because it wasn't worth it. Bee Venom surprisingly has a lot of natural health benefits, it helps gets rid of wrinkles and acne, firms up saggy skin and helps with inflammation and pain as well! That's why I was so bummed about what happened recently. So, rewind to November 12th. I was super excited because I picked up not one, but two new human hair wigs. The prices were honestly fantastic, and I felt like I got such a great deal. I took them home, gave them both a good wash, let them air dry overnight - you know the drill, getting them all prepped to wear. That's when things took a surprising turn. Both wigs were supposedly the same brand and model, just different colors. But, lo and behold, after the wash, it became super clear that one of them definitely wasn't human hair at all! It was such a letdown after thinking I'd snagged two amazing units. Naturally, I headed straight back to the store, hoping they could help clear things up. I explained the situation to the guy out front, expecting some sort of solution. Instead, he just told me I'd have to take it up directly with the company, either by calling or emailing them. I was pretty confused and asked again, just to make sure I understood, and he basically repeated that he couldn't do anything to assist me. Honestly, it was a huge disappointment. I mean, I bought it *from* them, right? It just felt really strange that they couldn't stand behind a product they sold, especially for a loyal customer like me. It's a real shame because, after that experience, I just can't see myself going back there anymore. It's tough to lose a place you've trusted for so long over something like this.

I had the C02 done in combination with other procedures, so I got a discount from his regular price of $4800 to $4560 in March 2025. I almost didn't do the procedure because I was already really close to the top of my budget for my other procedures but decided to go for it. The price included 2 post op facials to help with healing. Dr Kauffman certainly had one of the best bed side manners of any MD I've ever worked with. Friendly, patient, humorous. He does the procedures in his building located just off the prairie city exit off highway 50. When I awoke, my face felt like fire. It burned and I was miserable. It dissipated in about 2 hours and then zero pain at all. I did the vinegar soaks every 2 hours for about 5 days. It sounds weird, but I looked forward to them. It helped soothe the dry tight skin and clean up the aquaphor so I could reapply. The aquaphor helps protect the skin during healing but it slides around and got into my eyes occasionally (annoying but not painful) and the vinegar soaks helped keep things cleaned up. The skin was super delicate and peeled and peeled. I went back to work on day 10 and could not wear makeup because my texture was still a mess. My skin was also red still. I was able to start wearing tinted sunscreen at about 2 weeks. My face had red laser "track marks" for months. Then about 4 months after, the glow started. People started noticing and commenting. I noticed the quality of my skin transformed. It became smoother with rough patches gone, fine lines improved, sun spots gone, and my under eye hollows were gone. I'm now almost 16 months post and my skin still looks amazing. Strangers comment on my skin at least weekly and people ask me my secret. I'm so glad I splurged and that Dr Kauffman was aggressive with the laser. If you're going to get it done, I say go for it. I had to trust the process, because I'd read other women's journeys and no one talked about lasting redness and track marks but they probably didn't get ablative like Dr Kauffman . My inner voice was paranoid that my redness would never go away. But ultimately it disappeared and all that was left was gorgeous skin. Definitely recommend ablative C02. If you're going to do it, go for the real deal. Take the time off work and get the good 100% ablative C02, none of that fractional type or types where practitioners say "little downtime". The real deal has downtime and it was worth for me.
