I have never posted a review before in my life because I feel they're just absolutely embarrassing. I went in today to get just a basic French tip pedicure and an acrylic gel set that matches. I told Tony I wanted short almond French tip. I need them short for work so 1. They don't rip off and 2. It's easier to type. I came here about 2-3 months ago and got this exact same set and it was PERFECT. So I'm so confused and upset about the way this set came out and my entire experience with this worker. When I told Tony I wanted them short she said "no it won't look good" and I told her I have gotten it before I want them short and that they look so good short. Oh! I also got them done BY HER last time I was here.... So I don't understand what she means when she says it "wouldn't look good"she proceeds to argue with me back and forth and it's my sisters birthday and I didn't want to make a scene so I evidently just gave up. She rushed through the entire sitting because she clearly wanted to get off, they're all uneven in thickness of the French tip lines and length. She would slap my hand when she wanted me to put my hand in the dryer. Her entire energy towards people is ridiculous. The photos don't even do justice. My thumb nails are super short then my pinky nails are long enough to do bumps out of them... When I went to pay the gentleman who was very friendly told me it would be $95...two months ago this exact same set was only $80...so I'm confused in the price jump when I didn't get anything special or higher priced. Three strikes led to 1 star. I should've turned around and walked out when I saw how dirty the bathroom was, but nail salons are never that clean. They were so rude to the lady sitting next to me when she was asking for non gel and lighter polish options, blatantly rude. They were rude to me when I asked about a product displayed at the manicurist station she said "it's magic". I told her that wasn't helpful. She ignored me. When I showed a cut along my thumbnail, she immediately jammed her tool into it. When I said, " I just showed you that I have a cut there", she responded, "I know." Indicating it was intentional. I never leave reviews and the reviews are super bad on this place but this was my first time getting my nails done in a salon and I loved how they came out. Phuong took care of my nails and toes really well and she noticed a crooked nail on my right hand and fixed it immediately. My only complaint is that I was there almost 3 hours. I really should've believed the reviews from previous customers, so it's my fault for still going and trying this place out. We were staying at a nearby hotel for the weekend and this was the only place open at 730pm on a Saturday night. They were friendly and didn't have many customer so they were able to take me right away. My nails ended up crooked, uneven and polish has bubbles and very thick. I happen to be in Santa Cruz for the day and had a little extra time decided to get my nails done, it was a nightmare experience as I've been to them before in the past and I thought maybe things that change but no they have not. Once I got there immediately I smelled chemicals which is not good to inhale, I had to use the restroom and the toilet didn't work correctly; my nail technician had dirty filthy nails literally wood dirt in her nails, I was getting a gel manicure and as she was trying to file away the old nail polish, and then wrap them in acetone and cotton in foil. She didn't leave it in there long enough, I had to keep filing. She was definitely very inexperienced, my nails were crooked I had to keep telling her they were crooked but of course she didn't understand me. So I had to get the file and straighten my nails out myself, and get the file to get the dirt out from underneath my nails. Now here's the kicker, most nail salons use pre-bagged new clippers, nail file, and in the tool that pushes back your cuticles and gets the dirt out, she use dirty clippers and the tool that pushes your cuticles back and gets the dirt out he was gross dirty and disgusting I literally had to put it into the blue disinfecting water myself. When I was ready to leave it was near closing time I had to use the restroom again badly as I had tacos and it was going right through me, they told me I had to wait as she was putting water into the toilet tank. So I stood there waiting patiently as I was about to relieve myself very quickly. This salon is very dirty in all respects from the bathroom, from all the tools that they use on your nails they are not, and nice individual bags that are new like most salons use. Stay away unless you want fungus on your nails. As you can see in the picture there is still nail polish left on my nails after her filing and using acetone on my nails she did a horrible job read more

I was pampered like a princess! I enjoyed coming here!. The times I've been here I've always had great service. Holly and Anna are super sweet and well experienced at what they do. each know exactly how and what whether be my manicure, pedicure or just a simple wax. I was lucky to the get in and out this time. I understand this establishments has drop ins and whether you've made an appointment I understand they couldn't just drop what they were doing with a client and start with you. The place is filthy and understaffed the woman with the short hair was rushing to take care of my daughter's nails. She would grab my daughter hands very aggressively and was super rude and her demeanor was not welcoming and no it is not a cultural thing. Body language goes a long way. As for my nail technician was super nice and took her time even though they were busy. I think maybe she was the boss. I only left a nice tip for her not the mean. I usually try to go to this place because you hardly ever have to wait since they are usually pretty empty...... now I know why!!! not only did my nails come out horrible looking, the amount of super glue left all over My fingers was absolutely ridiculous. I don't even know how any ended up on the actual nail. When I asked her if she could fix my one nail and put a little more powder on it, because you can literally still see my actual finger nail near my cuticle she gave me an attitude and asked if I wanted to do them myself. Worth every penny, especially since it's been over a year since ive gotten to treat myself, I was looking pretty rough! Number 9 was so patient with me when I wanted to change colors half way through. He also did a great job with the shape, I'm particular about the shape and he did exactly right the first time (some people dont shape them right.) I'm very happy with the friendly service and genuine skill they offered. The Pride they took in their work was evident. Also, I didn't feel like they were talking bad about me in vietnamese, which honestly I sometimes do at some places. I highly recommend this solon. Recently re-visited this place because I was desperate and my regular place was packed, next time I'll be more patient. But let me elaborate... the service was not horrible, friendly enough anyway. But the gal that did my nails, was obviously already frustrated, in my opinion the customer is always right, and their job is to make sure I am a satisfied customer, so when I wasn't happy with the color of one of my fingers and she refused to change it I was a little disappointed, but even more so when she grabbed the gel Polish machine off my nails claiming they were dry when they definitely were not. But while sitting there a lady came in and got her eyebrows tinted, I've never even heard of that and was immediately curious, I have very light non existent eyebrows so I thought I'd give it a try of course the girl was like yea no problem , she painted the stuff on there and was like you should wait about 10 min. Cause your eyebrows are very light. Anyway long story short , about two hours and eighty dollars later and a healthy $10 tip for each I get to my car and look in the mirror and it looks like she drew them on with a sharpie, my nails where dented and product on my skin on the side, just a real mess. I started going here during Covid because it wasn't crowded and they were very good about Covid protocols. I have had really good experiences until yesterday. it's not a fancy place but they are always really friendly and do a good job. but yesterday they did a super rush job and my nails had only 1 coat and looked horrible with smudges on them. I paid for the deluxe pedicure which was 40.00 and did not include the 20 minute massage it was supposed to. I wanted them to fix them but they said they were to busy and to come back the next day. they did fix the nails the next day so there's at least that. read more

I needed to spend ONLY $20 for a Deluxe Pedicure ( Sugar rub & Callus treatment included) Everyone else in the area charges $45-$50. Now I play a ton of beach volleyball so my feet take a beating almost daily. After skimming through all the negative reviews, I'm shocked. These people seemed like it's a family-ran business, they were kind and courteous and attentive. Pleasantly surprised it's the exact opposite of what the previous reviewers have taken time to write. Meanwhile, when I was on the pedicure chair-- a lady next to me said she's been coming here for years and confirmed they're super nice here unlike some places. Kevin--was my guy! Awesome pedicure and it's ONLY $20. I'm coming back as a regular that's for sure. Then after my pedicure was done, the ladies to my right have also been coming here for years. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. I've only ever posted one yelp review in my life - I am posting this one because I feel obligated to warn people. Please do not go to any of their salons... they own three: this one, the store near Safeway on 41st, and the one near Safeway on mission st. I've gone to this salon for years. The employees are very sweet. I went three days ago and this was my experience: There were only two customers in the salon besides myself when I arrived, I was the only one once I left. I was there being serviced for THREE AND A HALF HOURS. I came in and asked for a full set and the husband of the owner sat me down and glued the acrylics on immediately... they were the wrong sizes and they were crooked, but I figured that could be fixed with filing, so I didn't say anything. I sat for an hour waiting to be helped with the rest. Another employee took over after my hour wait and put on the gel/sanded my nails down. She used the metal drill on my actual skin creating massive deep cuts on every single finger. My hands would not stop bleeding, but she kept going. Now I understand getting nails done can hurt, but this was not normal. I just figured "It's just a few cuts, not worth making a big deal about it." Then another employee handled the painting. She noticed the bleeding and actively avoided painting near the blood (I don't blame her because blood is gross), which in turn ruined my nails. The shapes for each nail was wrong, the paint was gloopy and crooked. After being there for over three hours (I got there at 4 and left at 7:30) I was ready to just leave. I paid and gave tip with out looking at my nails. When I got in the car to leave I noticed how terrible they were. I was so disappointed I wasted all that time and pain for a really terrible set. I came the next day to request the money back and I was told "no. Your fingers will heal." It wasn't worth fighting for $30 so I left. I went back to Beauty Nails today in SC, and Holly was awesome, as usual. They are running a sale and have added a lot of new gel and regular colors. I paid for the 15 minute arm/hand massage add on, and I feel relaxed and happy. They are not always consistent, but if you ask for Holly, you will get a good job. ***** I have been going to Beauty Nails off and on for years, but lately it's been hit or miss depending on who I get. The prices are still some of the best around and I have always had a decent experience. They will correct mess ups without too much attitude. Some of the staff rush through your mani and pedi, and I don't like that. But I've never gotten a fungus or anything, they seem to be pretty clean , and are always friendly. The use tub liners which is important. The store could use an update and some of that Pedicure Chairs are straight up worn down, but again they do a really good pedicure for 25 bucks, so you get what you pay for. This is by far the most rudest nail salon I have ever been too. Don't waste your time or money on these rude people. The lady grabbed my hands as if I was her child and was so forceful. Getting your nails done is supposed to be a pleasant experience. I commented after her shaping my nails, "these two are not straight. Would you mind please fixing them?" With pure kindness, and she went off on me along with of course talking crap to the owner that was standing next to her. I even said "you don't need to be rude to me, it was a simple request" and then all of a sudden her and the owner wanted to kiss my butt through out the rest of the time I was there. I was obviously not having it. When it got down to paying, I told them, "that the reason I'm not tipping you a dime is because your nail tech is beyond rude, and I'm never coming here again. I went in for a simple manicure. I was the only person there so they were not busy at all. I told her no gel, no color, just trim and clean them up. My nails looked almost immaculate before I went in, just needed a little trim and cleaning. She absolutely destroyed them. Like scrubbed my skin off and made my nails totally short and jagged. I looked at them and was like this is awful you need to fix it she had to cut them even shorter to trim away the jagged edges and she didn't even do that right. I literally wanted to burst into tears, then I asked them to buff them out shiny so they wouldn't look so rough and they tried to charge me extra to fix their mistakes. This is my go to place since the one I used to go to just gets so busy (nail price is definitely what you pay for)and needs appointments now. Anyways, I always seem to get the same lady (can't remember her name). She does a really good job on the nails, at least for me. The underside can use a little file but nothing I can't do at home. 25$ is not bad considering how much a person can spend for on some great nails, especially someone on a budget. Sometimes they're really busy on Wednesdays and sometimes they have another person for me. Now, he is super great and works at another salon and comes over to help. I don't typically spend more than an hour and a half there if I'm lucky and they're not busy. read more

The nails looked OK, but she took off some of the acrylic when she did the color change, so now some of my nails are too thin.
