I worked with Mollie and Bre for hair and makeup for both my engagement photos and wedding day, and I seriously have never looked more gorgeous in my entire life. They were such a joy to work with, always kind and responsive to emails, and took my Pinterest board dreams and made them a reality. For my wedding look, Mollie created a beautiful reverse fishtail braid, which made me look like an actual Disney princess. The soft curls and delicate braid worked so well with my dress and I can't stop looking at photos. Loved my experience with Beauty on Set. Was lucky to have Liv with me, making me look my best. A couple reasons why I love Beauty on Set/Liv: - the work is incredible. Like, chef's kiss. I have a bunch of things I am sensitive to (I don't like the left part of my forehead - no good reason, it looks just like the other side I'm okay with) and dislike (have gotten my makeup done just a few times and always ended up redoing a lot of it myself despite being awful at makeup). Despite this, Liv understood the assignment and DELIVERED. She talked me through what she was thinking, got my buy-in at each stage. I felt like she provided her expertise while still making sure my thoughts were acknowledged. She had me looking like the best possible version of myself. - Liv traveled to me dark and early - like she left her home at 4:20am to start me at 6am before dawn. She was flexible on meeting times with me as we monitored weather conditions that impacted our start time. - She is above and beyond: Liv is forever immortalized as the witness on our marriage certificate, touched up my now-husband, and gave me a beauty blender and tips on how to stay fresh throughout the day. - Most importantly: we had a blast. Like, the perfect, fun, non-stressful way to start a wedding day (or in my case elopement). BOOK THEM - HURRY!!! I dont know what to say, other then this team was an absolute dream to work with. Ladies, when you are planning your wedding one of the most important things to keep in mind is your experience. Not only is the make up and hair flawless, but you want to know that the people you spend your time with for a HUGE chunk of your day are going to be memorable/fun/warm and curate an experience for you that will last forever. That is what these ladies did, we had the best time with Liv + Mollys team. Yes, we were lucky enough to have them on our special day and I wish we could just become best friends and spend every weekend together. These girls are magic. The work they do is incredible and I think that goes without saying, but you'll also have the best time celebrating your day with them. Lots of love and laughs - some of the best moments of my day were from getting ready and I will have that for the rest of my life. Now that I am done gushing - I also want to say there are some logistical pieces that took this experience over the top. 1. Enough help to service ALL of our needs. We had 11 girls and 21 services which is just madness. But they made it happen. Its very difficult to find vendors that not only do an amazing job but have a team to support large parties and do both hair/make up. 2. Timing / Flexibility - Since we had such a large party, we needed to start early. Live made sure it wasnt too early by bringing on enough help to get the services done before 2pm. We had a total of four artists and we began at 8:15am and had plenty of buffer time, we never felt rushed and everyone got serviced while feeling relaxed. 3. Price - they are worth every penny and are quite reasonable for the Bay Area. Ive noticed a lot of vendor prices can be "cheaper" but then they have a 20% surcharge which ends up making them just as or more expensive. Liv was upfront with all her pricing and it made the process so smooth. 4. Make Up / Hair Trial - We tried multiple hair looks which helped me decide what I liked and didnt like, and the make up was beautiful. More natural then my end product but we knew that going into the wedding day that we wanted more and Liv+Molly took what I said and executed perfectly. I cant stress it again, BUT CALL NOW. Molly and Olivia were the sweetest people in the world. Honestly, between the trial and the day of, I always felt like they were my personal support system. They are highly personable and so empathetic. I am sure being too easy-going can make things difficult as I just went to the hair and makeup trial with no vision but they were able to still come up with something based on my tea ceremony ao dai, wedding dress, and venue/theme. I'm not used to wearing makeup so I was having issues with the eyelash glue and they recommended some other brands for me to try prior to the wedding date that worked great. Prior to the wedding, they had made a schedule of who in my wedding party was getting their hair and makeup done and at what time. My matron of honor wanted to only do her hair for the tea ceremony and her makeup right before the western ceremony. Since they block out the whole day for you, they were easily able to accommodate this. On the day of, they literally showed up at the exact minute they said they would get started. Kimberly Asbury showed up 15 minutes late. I found out she was late bc she was speeding (bc she was late), & got pulled over & received a speeding ticket. I didn't receive a phone call saying she was late, nothing. She just shows up unapologetically. I was supposed to be DONE by 12. She didn't finish curling me until 12:27. When I looked in the mirror, I was HORRIFIED. She gave me prom curls & the braid looked like a 5 year old had done it. I was now 30 minutes late to my own shower. When I gave feedback to the company, they responded by saying the would handle it & were so sorry. I was happy with that. Didn't ask for anything, just giving the feedback I'd want being in the same industry. Come to find out, they block me from their Instagram page! How weird! I was not going to post anything publically negative, but now I definitely feel the need to share my experience. Run from this place.
