I highly recommend this place. Everytime we have gone the service and food have been excellent. Our waiter recommended the half po'boy with the red bean and rice cajun cups. It is the perfect amount of food, we decided to stuff ourselves and enjoyed the King cake cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Our waiter was amazing and his suggestions were amazing. We have had the mac and cheese here as well, which was also delicious. I'll probably have that next time we go with a cup of the red bean and rice. read more

GLUTEN FREE GUMBO!! My husband and I were driving through Shreveport and wanted some gumbo and red beans and rice. I googled best gumbo near Shreveport and BeauxJax came up. I noticed on the menu the gumbo is GF that sealed it!! I couldn't give up on the red beans and rice so I got a cup of both -each was the best I've ever had! (I don't have much gumbo experience given the roux.$ My husband loves gumbo and he gave it 9 out of 10!! Our server was Destiny and she was FABULOUS! Super sweet and a great waitress. Fantastic food. Geaux check out this little gem on the BC side of the SBC metro. Really good poboys. Great red beans and rice. Fantastic blackened chicken nachos. And if you want Kraft brews they have them in spades. Come in for bite, grab a drink. There is plenty to see and do in this area after hours. read more

YES...they have a good thing going on here...when I walked in I was greeted at the Hostess Station (+)...I walked to the Bar to place a To-Go order...the Bartender was polite and greeted me within seconds and gave me time to look over the menu and answered ALL of my questions (+)...they place was CLEAN, Busy, and had lots of smiling faces...I'm starting to get a good vibe here...I ordered Red Beans & Rice, Shrimp Po Boy, Gumbo (bowl), Bourbon Chicken, and Bread Pudding with the Whiskey Sauce. Somebody knows WTF they are doing in that kitchen!!! I was Shreveport visiting family & they had never heard of Beaux Jax, but they are all looking for it now!!! Good drinks. Food was not good at all and very small servings. Expensive too. Service was fine though. I do not recommend.

Met Chef Peanut at Festival Plaza downtown and this guy is so down to earth. I told him I would come by and it took me a while. Shame on me! I had the Bourbon Street Chicken which compares with my top sandwich from a business that is no longer open. So....I guess I've got a new top sandwich spot. The waiter gave me some of the sauce/gravy from the shrimp & grits which took it to another level. I'll be back to take on some other items off the menu. Thanks Chef! read more

Came home from up north for a long weekend and decided to try this place. Could immediately tell it was good due to the amount of people there at 5:30. Took about 6 minutes for someone to come up to the host stand and seat us but I guess that's alright. We opted to sit outside and get the Louisiana sun to bless us with its warmth. Was basically fruity goodness I got the half poboy and the bowl. Which turned into shrimp and the shrimp etoufee. Also ordered some boudin to start it off with Strangely the poboy arrived before the appetizer, mistake in the kitchen? Lol but it was alright. The poboy was delicious and the slaw always a nice accompaniment. The etoufee was spiced deliciously and the shrimp were so tender. Was a good good pair. The boudin on the other hand. So I think it was alright. But it has the strangest after taste. It tasted gamey, like the meat my dad use to bring back after hunting. I didn't think it was that good. Spices seemed to be alright. We were in town visiting a friend in the military. They said this place was good so we checked it out and it was GREAT!! The outside and the restaurant decor was cool! Like most restaurants these days the service was a little overwhelmed but our server was still attentive and helpful! I had the shrimp etouffee was AMAZING!!! I wanted to go back again and have the exact same thing! The boudin was excellent!! Served with crackers, it was perfect! We tried the cheese and meat tray with gator sausage! Very good as well! I had some bread pudding for dessert and a Gator Bomb (or two) drink! Both were very good as well. Great job, BeauxJax!!! If/when I am back in Shreveport I will go back for sure! read more

We were visiting from NC and wanted some good cajun food. Our Lyft driver recommended this place and it did not disappoint! I had their gumbo and shrimp po boy with the chips. Wow, stopped here for a late lunch and was definitely pleased. The food was really good, started with Boudin and crackers. I had the half Po'boy and Cajun bowl, Catfish and Etouffee, wife had the same but Muffaleta and gumbo. The service was outstanding, everybody was really nice.
