Great experience with Becky! She took a look at my dress (pictures, website) and offered a quote at my request. We scheduled a few fittings (1st, 2nd and final) and she was kind and timely at each meeting. We probably wrapped up each meeting to under 20 minutes. I had some difficult lining as part of my dress but she managed it like the professional she is. She also set up a very easy bustle per my request which was great. Update: Becky altered my wedding gown and did an amazing job. I had probably a dozen layers of tulle and the lining to hem. She had to alter the bust area for me and insert cups. The back of my gown had some different lengths of tulle but Becky was able to bustle it so it looked nice. Two of my bridesmaid had their dresses altered by Becky too and they all looked amaze. I took my maid of honor dress in to be altered-it's one shouldered and long which was very long because I'm a bit on the short side. Becky had to alter the bust area, see up an opening on the front (it was part of the design I just didn't like where it hit me) and shorten the length. I brought it in a few weeks before the wedding because I'm a procrastinator and explained I needed it by a certain date since the wedding is out of town. Becky did a great job and didn't even charge me extra for the rush!!! The dress fits great now. We had some trouble with the zipper because it's an invisible zipper-one of the other girls had to have hers replaced because it broke. Becky was able to place a few stitches and now it works perfectly! I felt fat for a moment and Becky was like no-it's the dress. I'm amazed she was able to fix the terrible zipper! She did a great job I feel confident to bring in any other alterations. She is awesome! read more

Flexible, affordable, friendly, skillful, and easy to work with! I am getting married in May 2018, and my search for a dress that I liked was fruitless. It's my second marriage, and I am 30 years old people - I know what I like and what I don't. Most dresses I found (both those intended as "wedding" gowns and those that were just white dresses, period) were totally wrong for me or for the occasion, or both. I looked EVERYWHERE. Finally, I decided I needed to have a custom dress made. I was worried it would be expensive, but decided to just go with it, come what may. I decided to go in with a plan to recreate a dress I already owned and loved, with modifications, in white. A friend recommended Becky's to me, as she has had many theatrical costumes and personal articles made or altered there. I went in, met with Becky, and shared with vision for her (what I liked, what I didn't like, and the basic idea I had to recreate a much-loved dress). She took my measurements and got started on an initial dress template. I came back over the course of about four visits to tweak the design. We made decisions together about neckline, sleeves, waist length, draping, layers for the skirt, hem length - you name it. She was great about working through my vagueness and at making many, many tiny changes. In the end, I got a lovely dress that's exactly what I wanted! I can't wait to wear it and show it off!
