I hate giving bad reviews, but I will if I need to, however, this place is exceptional! First it's got a super comfy vibe, think, "I've just walked into my aunt's backyard bbq with all of my family". Everyone just fits in, no matter if you're the black sheep! Seating is a little limited, but worth the wait. I guess the first person I ran into was a manager, he introduced himself, (legit, "Hi my name is Bryan" and shook my hand!) (Post Script, the handshake is pervasive here, literally both bartenders were introduced to me and both came up and shook my hand.) I had checked this place out from other Yelp reviews and already knew I wanted the Fish and Chips, so after my beer order, I was shocked and awed that without asking, he brought the Malt Vinegar! You know it's gonna be the bomb already! The fish arrived very quickly! Bruh...this fish was legit. A large solo iceberg of fried perfection crested upon a wave of fresh made "chips " and they were clearly fresh made, not the frozen variety. The beer batter on this fish was so good I was in heaven. I thought it might be heavy and greasy, and yet somehow it held only flavor, crunch, and absorbed my Malt Vinegar to perfection. This place is packed with regulars and it clearly seems to attract other service industries personnel. All good signs of a good time! We stayed at the hotel around the corner and the staff recommended this restaurant. The restaurant itself is an old house that mirrors the charm you find all over the city. There is a bar and an outside patio, on chilly days (like today) there are two small dining rooms with tvs for inside seating and an intimate feel. We were sat by the bartender and quickly were greeted by our server. We ordered some drinks and a wedge salad. The salad had a good amount of blue cheese and bacon on it. I ordered the short rib sliders. They arrived hot with pickled onions on a mini slider bun. I enjoyed the presentation of the dishes and thought the short rib was soft. Notable, my husband ordered the cheesesteak which came with fries. The fries were so good, cut there and fried up. We finished off dinner with an order of cinnamon donuts. Absolutely loved them! This restaurant is a little off the main downtown area. It has a great outdoor eating area. The staff were friendly! My chicken sandwich had a good spice to it. The fries were amazing! Came here after a long travel day from CA to SC and was looking for a restaurant within walking distance from our Airbnb and though it was later in the evening we were pleasantly surprised by this little gem we found. The food was absolutely incredible as well as the cocktails! Our server was super attentive and very friendly. We were sat on the side patio outdoors where we luckily had the whole area to our selves which was great with a stroller. I wish we had the opportunity to come back because it was probably some of the best food we had all week while we were visiting. We decided to give Bedford Falls a try and had a real good time. To me the best way to describe it is a classy sports pub. It's kind of split into two parts with a bar on one side and a restaurant on the other. The atmosphere is lively and upbeat with patrons cheering on their favorite teams. In fact, when we sat down in the restaurant, they asked us which game we wanted on the tv. Now since it is a sports pub it can get a little noisy so expect that going in. We started with cocktails; I ordered the Blackberry Spritz which was very fruity and satisfying while my wife ordered a holiday cocktail called the Holiday Margarita which had bold cranberry flavor. For starters we ordered the Steak and Cheese eggrolls which were packed with Philly cheesesteak meat, but the star was the charred jalapeno ketchup which took it to a new level. We had to try the wings which were plump, golden and sauced with care. Definitely order these! My wife ordered the Loaded Grilled Cheese which should be called the Loaded meatloaf sandwich. The meatloaf was not dry and was nestled perfectly in the grilled cheese sandwich. I was craving a French Dip, and it did not disappoint. Loaded with tender roast beef it totally hit the spot! We arrived in Charleston and had 2 hours to kill waiting on our Airbnb to be ready. We stumbled onto this restaurant as we were looking for a dog-friendly place that was close by. Wow! Brendan and Brian want you to have a great BF dining experience and are very hands on. And yes, we had TWO great BF dining experiences in the last two weeks. BF has a nice seating variety: indoor bar, outdoor patio, and (our fave) a house with multiple TVs. We sat in the middle (house) room and had both hoops and hockey on while we ate and drank. We love BF's menu. Sure, there are plenty of traditional bar choices (wings, burgers, sandwiches, cheese sticks, etc.), but BF punches them up a bit in both quality and presentation. Further, you can eat LATE (game changer). The full bar and speciality cocktails are simple and easy to understand/imagine (rare downtown). Servers are attentive and also want you to have a great experience. All fellas (and sports enthusiasts) were satisfied. Price point is perfect for downtown. This place was great! I was looking for some place to grab dinner that wouldn't require much walking (it was frigid outside). It was across the street from my hotel and got really positive reviews so decided it was worth a shot. It was awesome. Great service, excellent food and a nice atmosphere. My food arrived within minutes of ordering and it was delicious! I had the french dip. The roll was perfect; crisp on the outside and soft on tbe inside. The fries were perfectly seasoned. We sat inside a room that was about the size of a small bedroom, and on each of the walls were large televisions on news/politics. After a day of tourism and checking in to our hotel, we began looking for places nearby to grab dinner. Bedford Falls came up as a less than ten minute walk. We were a bit on the early side of the dinner hour but I was surprised to find we were the only diners there. Our server was friendly and offered recommendations of places to go while in town. We split the deep fried asparagus which was delicious. I had the mac and cheese which was good and my sister did a fried chicken sandwich which came with very tasty fries. We went on a Thursday and it is a cool setting. A converted old house into a restaurant. The food and service were just ok. I asked the waiter what he recommends and he said the French dip. Made a last minute reservation to take my parents to Mother's Day brunch. While at first I was surprised to find a place with availability on such short notice, it became pretty apparent why. Arrived a little early for the reservation, but they were nice enough to accommodate us anyway. They have a front parking lot right off Meeting St that can take maybe three cars. Since we were the first customers to arrive, this was no problem. Sat on the covered patio, which was nice. For a few minutes, at least. Shortly after we sat, some very loud noise, which sounded like machinery or lawn work of some kind, began. If it was lawn work from next door, I get that's not the restaurant's fault, but it is certainly something to consider if youre planning on dining on the patio here. Ordered mild wings for the table to start, as two in the group do not like spicy of any kind. The wings arrived and my mother who, like me, does enjoy spicy, took a bite, and immediately remarked that these are very spicy. I was incredulous as to how spicy some "mild" wings could be, but took a bite and found they were in fact very spicy. I'd have happily eaten the spicy wings if I hadn't already ordered an entree. But the others in the party would not be able to handle it. We informed our server that we recieved spicy wings by mistake and sent them back. A what I presume to be manager arrived to inform us those were, in fact, the mild wings. Which is just odd. Either admit ya'll made a mistake (really not a big deal, it happens) or, I don't know, maybe look up the definitions of the terms "mild" and "spicy"? There's simply no universe in which those wings could be construed as "mild". We ordered nachos in their place which were "meh" at best. Which, honestly, "meh at best" kind of describes the whole experience here. My parents ordered the huevos rancheros and asked our server if they could come with eggs over medium instead of sunny side up as listed on the menu. Server assured them that was no problem, yet it came with sunny side up eggs. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was ok I suppose. Yet it came with a "hot" sauce which was inexplicably devoid of either flavor or heat. This restaurant is clearly confused about what the words "mild" "hot" and "spicy" mean. Additionally, we sat for long periods of time with dirty plates stacked on our table, and our server never once asked for or offered drink refills. And again, we remained the only table on the patio and possibly the whole restaurant (no other cars in the front lot and no discernible customer noise coming from inside the restaurant). There seem to be some pretty major communication breakdowns between waitstaff, kitchen, and management. Had an early dinner on a Sunday. We asked to be seated inside so we were the only people seated in the house. After about 10 of seeing no one I went into the bar and asked if anyone knew we were in there. The server said no! After that she was very good. I they have extra speakers piping in would from a game that wasn't being shown in our room. Kinda annoying. I got the short rib pappardelle. It was excellent. Lots of meat and the edgy had just the right amount of heat. I would definitely recommend getting that! My wife ordered a cheeseburger well done. It came out medium at most. She thought it was good when it was recooked. She didn't think the fries were crispy enough. So a bit of a mixed experience, but I'm glad we went and would go again. read more

So glad we stopped here! When my group arrived to Charleston, we had a couple hours to kill before we could check into our Airbnb. This place was within walking distance to where we were staying, so we stopped for lunch. The server was so accommodating as we all had our luggage with us! Sat at the small bar that seats about 10 people and was greeted nicely by the bartender. Ordered a beer and some waters alongside our sandwiches. This was my second visit. Both were very good. The first time I was here for brunch and this time for dinner. Cute place with multiple rooms as well as outdoor seating with heaters. There's also a small parking lot which is very helpful in this part of Charleston where parking can be difficult and pricey. Both times I experienced excellent service. They do take reservations which I would recommend during peak times. The menu does change occasionally, which is nice. I don't recall what we are for brunch last time we were here but we enjoyed it. We also spoke with the next table and they had nothing but compliments. This time around we ordered the burrata salad and the burger. The burrata salad was very good but our least favorite. Nice portion of burrata but it wasn't as creamy as I like it. The burger was cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare, juicy and very tasty with a fresh bun. We asked for the fries to be well done and they were delicious and cooked exactly as we asked. Overall, one of the better burger experiences around. The restaurant is in a converted house, the room we were in was really small which makes it a really intimate experience.
