We needed a bee hive removed ASAP. Our German Shepherd was stung and went into anaphylactic shock and collapsed. We rushed her to Vet ER (VCA Emergency Vet in Murrieta) where she was treated and kept overnight. Bee Guy Travis rearranged his schedule to be here the next day to remove the hive. For several weeks there were tell tale signs that we may have a bee problem, like finding dead bees on our front porch every day. Then on a Sunday in August, we noticed a piece of honey comb under the tree in our front yard, looked up and saw a giant bee hive nested in our tree, with bees swarming around it. The very next day I Yelped and called 3-4 companies. The Bee Guy Travis called me back right away and said he was in the area and would come to our house to take a look. He did not offer a quote, saying it would depend on what he found when seeing it. After Travis assessed our bee hive, he gave a quote, which includes a one year warranty. He was available to come out the next morning. The other companies I called just didn't give me that warm fuzzy feeling. One gave me a quote on the phone, site unseen and at a lower cost than Travis--but no warranty (and he explained all the reasons why they did not offer a warranty). Well, we went with Travis and we were very satisfied. The cost was very reasonable for what he did. I like that he specializes in bees. He does his best to save as many bees as he can and takes them to a bee farm. He was professional, and took his time to take care of our problem with personal care. Travis came out to give me a free quote and opened up the utility water box in my backyard that housed the sprinkler valves. I couldn't believe what was in there!!! An old established bee hive that the bees have seemed to deem inhabitable. Swarms/colonies stop by for a few days or weeks at a time and then seem to leave. He said it may have previously been poisoned and so the bees realize they don't want to stay there. I called because I'm hosting my sons 2nd birthday in the next few months and wanted to ensure there was no bee activity while the party was going on. He cleaned out all the old hive, removed the box and sealed the valves to remove the pheromones so they won't come back. He did it all SAME DAY! Later that evening I had my flashlight and noticed the bees were inside our kitchen vent. I did my homework on the internet and came across the great reviews for Bee Guy Travis. I called other businesses, but he gave me that comfort level you look for in a person and a businessman. We talked over the phone and exchanged text messages. One thing I do want to point out, Travis was always a true professional and gentleman during our conversations. We spoke on a Sunday and we arranged for him to come to my house on a Tuesday. I live in Chino which is far from his business area but he made the trip which was greatly appreciated. Travis met my wife and we talked over the phone because I was at work during his visit. His price was fair and he did what he does best under two hours. He mentioned we caught the bee hive in its early stages before things could have been worse. We have a swarm of bees currently living in a tree in our front yard. Travis came out on short notice to take a look at the situation. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do as the tree is producing pollen and the bees are just hanging out and gathering the pollen. Travis guessed they could be there for a couple of weeks (and as long as the tree has pollen). So for now we are stuck with these unwanted visitors.
