I had mentioned to Darla to skip service because of this, and will resume when ready. But just noticed that I have been continued to be auto charged ($87 each time) good thing I looked as I was getting ripped off. Very surprised of this as I'd mentioned this for multiple months to get ahead of this situation and give HomeShield as much communication as possible. It is crappy feeling to have my money taken like that I called in and spoke with Luca and he was helpful in telling me that I'll get credited back for 2 months, and will have CC on hold so not charged. That made me feel good. He said I'd get confirmation email in a few minutes but it's been nearly 2 hours and no email and my CC still showing no credit/refund. They are happy to auto charge me, but cannot accommodate their current customers with the ability to pause service, causing additional headache for me I'll see if there is anything worth updating if/when it happens. otherwise will go straight to credit card company and dispute charges...I don't have time to keep going back to HomeShield to check if they did their work right Still considering if I will continue with HomeShield once I need service again; but I figure I'll have better choice when that time comes UPDATE: after reading other review of not being able to cancel service, I called right back and spoke with Patricia. I asked to cancel service, but she could not do so and had to transfer me to other department and ask me to hold for "2 minutes". After 2 minutes, she came back on saying no one could talk to me to cancel. Seriously?? I asked if I can get her my verbal authorization to relay my cancel message to someone. No can do, so I have to wait for someone to call me back so I can say "CANCEL" really frustrated now...

What put them over the top was their four-year guarantee on fumigation (offered for a limited time). The other two companies offered one- or two-year guarantees. Customer service was outstanding from the owner, Chris, to his helpful office staff, to his on-site workers. The company supplied a home preparation checklist, which was very helpful. They offered a free lockbox, which was convenient. The theft deterrents gave us peace of mind while the property was being tented. On the day of the tenting, the technician was kind enough to check that my prep work was done correctly. I noticed after the tenting that the crew double-bagged items I had missed. Switched routes and chose fumigation for peace of mind and in one day came out and quote once again was under the competition. That in itself was a win but to top it off, a confusion with SDG&E resulted in gas shut off being cancelled. Toby called me at 7pm on a Friday, had worked the issue with SDG&E and his team who originally had the tent over the house by 11am came back and waited 3 hours on a Friday night awaiting SDG&E. Their prompt response and dedication to all my kids and I to come back into our house on Sunday was amazing. I am confident that other companies would have just called it a day and I would have been left scrambling to come up with a new plan and would have had more out of pocket costs. From the first interaction to the last, this company showed honest communication, professional and dedication to the customer. A local business that does things the right way. They sent a manager out in Nov who did a really thorough job and said he would pass on his notes to the next tech who comes out, but it doesn't seem like that happened.

Background: The credit for green energy was ending in 2025, and I had always wanted to reinsulate my home because it was so cold in winter and super hot in summer. I went through many different companies and seeing how people felt about them, and I saw a lot of horror stories. I called up a few companies and found out that insulation is kind of like roofing, where a sales person and a tech comes, where the tech looks around and the sales person tries to scare you into using their company right then. They might say something like "your attic is super hot" (that's normal, well, up to a point), or "we'll give you a special deal if you say yes right now". Just kind of shady stuff overall. One big thing that people mention is that while insulation is good, you need to airseal your attic as well - this was another thing I was looking to get done. Initial Meeting: So I was kind of expecting that when I called Attic Professional. Fortunately, that was not the case at all! From other reviews you might have figured that the owner, Bryan, is incredibly respectful and treats customers well. I got to experience that as well. One thing I was surprised at is he had inside shoes (the kind you see in Japan) and put them on and off when walking around the house. He went up into my attic and really dug around to look for issues like pests or mold (besides the poor insulation layers). We went around the home together to look for clogged vents. He didn't try to sell me on anything - I remember reading one review that said he didn't try to sell them things they didn't need, and that was my experience too. He said they could put more insulation in on my existing one, or take out the old one and put new one in; but neither would have a substantial difference. I went ahead and asked him to remove the old insulation and put new insulation in just for cleanliness. I even later changed my mind and asked for a custom insulation scheme - some fiberglass batting and mostly blown-in, and he had no problem accommodating that. Oh, and they would include airsealing gaps in the attic with fire resistant foam! Reinsulation: A few weeks later, he and his team brought his truck up to my house. They covered many surfaces with plastic drop cloth to prevent insulation from flying around - they taped doorways so I could come through, and they taped cardboard to corners in the house so their insulation blower tube wouldn't cause damage. They put canvas drop cloths on the floors to protect them. There was a bit of fiberglass and debris around after, but it was very, very minor. I understand how difficult it is to be flawless with cleanup, but these guys were very good. The work was smooth and quick - only a few hours. I didn't have to add much input and the team was in and out. Bryan left for another site for an hour or so, but everyone was just as respectful as Bryan, and they told me he was a very good person to work for. Always nice to see that the employees have a good opinion of the company as well. One thing that I thought was interesting is after they removed all the previous insulation, they let me look at the attic and see how they stapled their measuring tapes. Apparently, some insulation companies will scam their customers and fold up their measuring tapes so it shows more insulation than what's actually in there. I was able to verify myself that all the measuring tapes were correct. Bryan and I did a final check on the attic together and I was very happy. Above and beyond: A month or so later, I was very curious about the insulation and really wanted to optimize the house, so I got one of those FLIR guns (temperature sensor guns) to see if the attic was perfectly insulated. As expected there were a few spots that had a bit of uneven insulation (after all, nobody's perfect), but for the most part everything was good. I sent Bryan a text about these spots, and he immediately he and his crew to come add some more insulation and pack it in. Now everything on the camera looks great. I think it's pretty rare to find such attention to quality, and I was very impressed. Results: In the San Diego weather by home would average 63 degrees when outside it was around 48. Now, the house never drops below 68, and it averages around 72 year round. When it's 85 degrees outside, it might be 76-78 inside. I've seen the temperature inside crack 80 maybe twice in the last year, and never seen it below 65. This is with no heater, no AC running EVER. So TLDR: I would completely recommend using Attic Professional for your insulation. Take a look at their price, but I find their quality far outshines anything I've seen, and I think I got a steal of a deal (with the now-removed credit sadly).

What an awesome company!! They captured a suffering coyote in Rancho Bernardo that for 6 weeks had plastic tubing around its neck. The first night they came out they were unsuccessful. They came back the next night and eureka - success. The entire neighborhood is overjoyed so thankful to them. This little coyote girl is now getting the medical treatment she so desperately needs. These guys were amazing. As part of the RB group that banded together under Katie Ryan's tutelage, they were patient, kind and knowledgeable. I was lucky to meet these gentlemen the evening that they captured the coyote with the tubing around her neck. The are the strong silent type and very compassionate and gentle in their approach. The specifics of this capture didn't go exactly as planned however their quick thinking and reflexes made for a successful capture and transfer to medical facility for this creature who had been suffering for 5 weeks. Just fleas left from previous owners that lived in the house I just moved to. A guy named Miguel came out and sprayed the yard and around the house. We were good for about a two weeks and I called about more fleas. Miguel wasn't available so another guy came out and sprayed and put bombs in the house. I was charged extra, but credited back for it. They assured me the flea cycle would break after a month and I wouldn't have anymore. During the 8 months of using them, he was late and no call no show on some appointments. When I called their dispatch, they said they'll reach out to the tech and would call me back. They never did, I had to make the call back and dispatch said the tech couldn't make it. I lost a whole day of running errands because of that. By the 8th month, I was still having flea issues and when the tech came to spray I asked if he's going to spray for fleas and the tech said no. I asked why not, I've been under the assumption that he's been spraying for fleas every month. He said its an additional cost service to spray for fleas. I said to the tech, okay that's why I'm paying you. He responded by saying I need to call and add that service for additional cost and also that's my fault because I don't have a secure yard to keep stray animals out from bring fleas. I canceled service after that.

I was pretty insistent with getting someone who would remove the bees without killing them. (My…read moredad kept insisting to spray water at the hive, but I knew that was a bad idea.) Joseph had some decent reviews, so I gave him a call. One thing mentioned in a previous review is that he's hard to get a hold of. That can be true, but it worked out because I can be, too! But he knows his stuff and he knows bees. They are his passion! He was able to tell me details about the hive without seeing it initially and told me exactly how long it would take for them to truly go away after the queen was removed. He was dedicated to the job during the day (I can see why he's hard to get a hold of, as the bees don't take a break) and he even came after 11pm to pick up bees that came home in the evening. If you have a beehive on your property, don't push it off, have it removed before damage can happen. And if you're serious about having them removed without killing them, give Joseph a chance. Give him time to get back to you. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for and the bees continue to do their thing for the benefit of the world. I have no doubt they have made a new home up in Fallbrook.
