Chicken wings with sweet thai chili sauce
    Max E.

ended up here because of the Brandon Xmas parade, decided to have something to eat prior to the parade. My wife had the chicken wings with the Sweet Thai Chili sauce, I had the fried chicken sandwich which came with fries. My wife liked her chicken wings, no major complaints there. My chicken sandwich was a bit salty in the crispier sides, I'm sure it was due to the batter used. I looked a bit dry, but the chicken was not. We had water so can't speak to their drinks. Staff was super friendly and readily available when needed so I always consider that a plus in a restaurant. Place was clean, bathrooms were clean, and food took average time to be served. There is parking in front of the establishment, however, since there are other establishments in the area, it could be an issue finding parking on a busy day.

Overall, it was just alright. The service was great, and if you're looking for a low-key spot with inexpensive drinks and standard bar food, this place fits the bill. I ordered a Caesar salad and onion rings--both were fine, nothing special. The highlight for me was that they had clean bathrooms, which is always a plus!

The atmosphere wasn't friendly in terms of the customers but the staff was friendly. The food was okay. I had the bbq bacon cheeseburger and it was pretty good. The wings was okay. They weren't too spicy. I would recommend coming here for a quick bite

It was a spur of the moment decision to order takeout after leaving an appointment in the area. I'm surprised that there aren't that many reviews for a restaurant that has been in Brandon since 1985. I didn't even know it was the Original Beefs until seeing the sign as I was parking the car. I'm glad that I finally checked it out. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. One of the nice ladies told me to order at the bar. It was all very quick and friendly. There were quite a few people eating and drinking while I was there at around 4:45 pm. The decor is very traditional and old, but it was cozy. I decided to get the Boom Boom Shrimp and the Traditional Wing Basket. I wasn't sure which sauce to order. I was told that many people like the Kentucky Bourbon and it happened to be a very good recommendation. It was sweet but had a nice little kick. My 92 year old mother was very happy with it too. She ate 5 of the 8 wings. That's amazing because she doesn't eat much nowadays. They were a pretty good size as well. We were both very satisfied. I wasn't totally blown away, but the sauce really made it tasty and it was all reasonably priced. I also substituted a side item with fried pickles for an extra charge ($1.99). It was totally worth it. I like them better than the ones at Hooters. I would definitely order wings with fried pickles again. The shrimp were a decent size. They were also crispy and covered in a hotter sauce. I'll have to try the fried shrimp without the sauce next time (just to compare the two). Overall, it was a good takeout experience. The staff were all very friendly. The tables were clean. They brought out the food in a very timely manner. I kind of wish I had ordered a beer while I was waiting. I'll do that next time. I'm looking forward to trying other wing sauces. They had like 13 different kinds with 3 dry rubs that you can add on to it. I may try the Sweet Thai Chili at my next visit.

    "shareable appetizer"

Normally I never ever complain but honestly paying 10$ for onion rings that are supposed to be shareable and only getting this amount is disappointing. it's disappointing seeing money wasted like that. Also there was a hair in my sandwich. Gross. i would say don't bother even order from this place. Sorry.

Good restaurant, pretty much what you expect from a beefs. The service was great and the food was good.

Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. We even received coupons for a free app in the future for our first visit. We had the shrimp tacos and the bbq brisket flatbread. Both were great. One thing I really enjoyed about the tacos was the inclusion of guacamole with chips instead of chips only. I really think that was a unique touch for a casual restaurant that I really appreciated. I would return if I'm in the area.

Which I ended up having to wait 10mins as it was not ready. I think asked the host for a drink due to my inconvenience and having to wait (which I feel was not a big ask) she responded and said she can't. So I asked for a manager whom I spoke with Marcel and MICHAEL the on duty managers who then said my food just came up but this regarded the drink that I asked for. As a person in customer service especially corporate this was very unprofessional and their was not one once of empathy towards me and not to mention the attitude the girl had towards me from the time I walked to the host stand. So I got my food finally 17 minutes later and they forgot my jalapeño that came with my order haven't waited so long you would of thought they would had double checked the order before brining it to me. Not the case. So I the get all the way home ready to eat my food to see that all three of my tacos were extremely brunt at this point I am furious having drove all the way back home and to now have to drive and waste unnecessary gas that I should not have had to is beyond ridiculous. I get there speak with both of the guys and tell them this is unbelievable and unacceptable and I clearly wanted a refund. From start to finish this experience got worse and worse. I told MICHAEL the issue and both of the had no regards to how unhappy I was have not type of empathy and made me feel even worse as a customer. I really feel like the kitchen people were trying to be funny with my order. Even with me face to face and expressing to them both the lack of empathy they had towards me and my inconvenience they still gave none. So he went processed the refund and then wants to come back and give me the receipt and a free chips and salsa like the fact that asked for a measly drink from hump that thy could not even accommodate me is diabolical and to think after how I was treated that I would even want to support this business absolutely not. I literally was just telling my cousin how good they were and not I and forced to banned them completely due to the lack of customer service. As a major corporation you would think they would make things right for the customer so that it would not escalate to this measure but sadly this is the route I have to go to. In order to be seen and heard. This company handled this situation so distasteful. The restaurant literally flipped the issue so they made themselves look as if they did nothing wrong. As a company there was no accountability from upper management on how they restaurant made me feel they did nothing to show any type of empathy and accused me of things that I did not do this is beyond baffling I expected way more from a big named company like themselves. I respectfully will never go to this location. I do feel like they played victim, and they basically made me feel like my concerns were not heard and they had done no wrong when in fact there really was. Please be aware if you choose to spend your money here at this location. I highly recommend not going to this location awful customer service and management! I posted the conversation to show how the restaurant location completely made up lies and deception to make them look like they did no wrong and that I was the "aggressor" when in fact I was not and they choose to treat me racially per the hostess in the front and so management can think that they did no wrong which is crazy for a company.

This time I was in here for the shepherd's pie. From being here before, I'd seen someone else order it and noticed it comes in a mini cast iron; he serving option alone is already promising. The shepherd's pie is absolutely delicious, no notes. The mash on top was broiled with just enough crisp, so smooth and creamy underneath. The ground meat below was cooked hot with smoke, and every bite was hearty and rich, with noticeable touches of herb. I don't like peas, so the shepherd's pie here coming with carrots instead makes it even better for me, and the crispy shallots on top give an occasional crunch. So far I've tried three dishes here, and I've been happy with all of them. These dishes are the kind I'd come back for, but this really solidifies the impression that most, if not all, of the menu would be worth trying. Pair that with the friendly, attentive staff and the relaxing atmosphere, and this is for sure a top pick.

The menus were kind of old and a little soiled so if the food is good here I will never know because I wouldn't touch the menus. Sat at the bar and asked for the name of a beer they had on tap. She gave me a generic answer and it turns out she was right. It was just called Channelside IPA. Still the interaction wasn't very pleasant and in fact was a little awkward. Definitely didn't feel welcome. Also didn't help that I am naturally a smart Alec. All I know is we definitely didn't click. I settled in on a Smithwicks Red Ale. Finished my beer and promptly left. The experience was Meh. The beer was good though.
