Had a rough week and our ac went out. So we decided to order dinner from World of Beer Brandon. Our order was simple. Our order consisted of a salad, fries, bonless wings with nashville sauce and traditional wings with lemon pepper as well as an order of steak bites. Salad was good as were the steak bites. The fries were not in our to go bag and ALL the wings were naked baked. I called and was told if I wanted to drive back (20min) I would receive a fresh order of fries and sauce for our wings. I told the on duty manager it was not worth the drive but I wanted to speak to a manager to have this issue resolved. I was told the following morning I would receive a call from the manager. We are now 4 days later and still I have yet to receive a call. This location is a great hang out spot.....but never again. read more

I've been here before-lived the giant pretzel and the back patio. But this time, I was here for the merry. WOB has a special Christmas pop-up bar, featuring lots of holly jolly decorations, good cheer and a specialty drink menu. I chose the s'mores old fashioned. The toasted marshmallows on top were the perfect accompaniment to this drink, I'd have it again... even though it's a little small for the price. )that sounds Grinchy, doesn't it?) This is a comfy place-you feel welcome. There are dozens of brews to choose from and a full bar for those who aren't beer-inclined. They also have a big parking lot, which is a draw. After a disappointing stop at Ford's Garage we stopped at this gem around the corner and had a phenomenal time! We were grateful it turned out the way it did. Jenna was our server and she was fantastic! I had a Fox Farms Lager on tap and we shared the pretzel with beer cheese and mustard. Boy, was that the best pretzel! It just melted in your mouth. I recently visited the Brandon location for the first time. I live nearby and the fact that they had bottomless mimosas was a no brainer when picking this spot for brunch with friends. It was a group of 8 of us we sat out back in the patio area which was nice and spacious. Our server was Hannah who was amazing! She was friendly, patient and very helpful as our table was wobbly and she fixed it for us no problem! Most of my friends ordered the steak breakfast bowl which seemed to be a hit i would've ordered that too but the black and blue flatbread caught my eye so i went with that and it did not disappoint! Subpar experience. I was on the search for a good happy hour food deal and stumbled across WOB. The menu looked yummy so I figured why not! The place is very clean and they played great music. I had the side house salad and spicy watermelon margarita off the regular menu, and then the buffalo shrimp and parmesan truffle fries off the happy hour menu. I tried to give this Brandon WOB a second chance after I had a missing item in my evening pick up order the first time and no refund from the General Manager after calling & unable to reach this GM or receive a c/b. Yesterday evening, the wait again seemed to be unnecessarily long with food still not being ready 30+ min after the promised time. 10 patrons in the whole place. Ridiculous. Stopped in with a group from work after meeting. They were able to accommodate our larger group outside, which was nice and it was great weather. We had two different servers helping out our group and they came around constantly to make sure that our drinks were filled and that Any food we ordered would come out quickly. We took advantage of the happy hour. The shrimp is really, really good. But we enjoyed pretty much everything off of the happy hour menu. It was a cool vibe. They had games outside to play and there was music, but it was low enough that we could still speak and have good conversations. I will be back. read more

We went on a Sunday around noon for brunch. We walked in and they allow you to seat yourself. They have an outdoor patio where they allow dogs. There are fans for summer and heaters for winter. Tables are on a covered patio and there are also couches available. They offered unlimited mimosas, beermosas and bloody Mary's for $18 with the purchase of an entree. I got the hot honey BBQ boneless wings and they were a good portion and tasty sauce. The server was very attentive and never left our drinks empty. She also let us know when last call was for the unlimited drinks. This is definitely one of my go to spots for brunch on the weekend. read more

I go to wob in Tampa often. I've been to the Brandon location at least 6 times. The service was usually ok(unless it is a pickup order). We went last night (5/8), and had the worst experience ever at a wob. We got there around 7, and ordered drinks, it took about 20 minutes to get drinks each time we ordered (twice). One order of fish and chips took about 30 minutes. Now fish and chips is usually pretty standard... When I received it, I noticed there was no tartar sauce. So when I was able to grab the server, i asked him if they had tartar sauce. He appeared to seriously contemplate, and said I don't think that we do, but I'll check. I thought that was extremely odd, never had fnc, without tartar sauce being available, so I looked at the menu. The menu stated house made tartar sauce, and a cucumber salad, which we also didn't get. When the server came back with tartar sauce (surprise), I inquired about the salad. He said "I saw that, but I wasn't sure if that belonged with your meal (or something to that effect), and brought that out later. The last thing is that we happened to sit near the bar, and unfortunately we were able to watch drinks being prepared. I watched servers garnishing drinks with their bare hands, I understand that happens all the time, but after watching on girl pull her phone out of her pocket, browse on it for a minute, and put it back in her pocket. She immediately grabbed lemons and slid them around the rim of some prepared drinks...maybe it bothered me just because I saw her do it.. The strange part is that the didn't seem busy. I finally ordered some wings to go, which also took about 25-30 minutes. Perhaps that's normal for that time of evening, we usually go earlier, and have had decent experiences. read more

Their late-night happy hour hit the spot, and I left satisfied with this local chain. I went with a classic Blue Moon (always with two oranges, of course!) and paired it with a Caesar salad, adding salmon. The food was fresh, the service was great, and everything arrived quickly. Had no idea that this place existed here in Brandon! There is a place similar home where I am from in California (University of Beer), and I will say - the one back home is much more grand and in a great location. This restaurant is tucked away in a small parking lot behind a closed gym and some other closed businesses. Walking in, I was surprised that the place was nearly empty on a Saturday night. I think most people were sitting outside on the patio, which I didn't explore that way. The menu had a lot of great choices and the food was delicious. The beer cheese on the nachos was addicting. The owner of this place should be shamed of himself and if Alex was half a manager he would have come out and apologized himself instead of being a coward in the back. We booked for a group of 40 for a special occasion, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. They only assigned TWO waitresses to our massive table - are you kidding me? Service was non-existent; we sat for ages just trying to get water refills or menus. When the food finally trickled out (after over TWO HOURS of waiting), half of it was completely wrong - wrong orders, cold dishes, missing items everywhere. We politely pointed it out, but the waitresses got snippy and defensive, snapping at us like WE were the problem for being frustrated after being ignored all night. To top it off, they slapped a full 20% auto-gratuity on the bill anyway, as if we'd actually received service worth tipping for. We felt totally scammed and disrespected. Management? World of Beer is a solid choice for a decent meal in Brandon. This location was clean and quiet with tasty food and friendly service. My wife and I needed lunch and figure World of Beer sounded as good as anything. We hadn't been here in a while. We arrived in the early afternoon to a mostly empty restaurant and sat ourselves. Our server was around quickly, and we got started. I ordered a few beers, all of them the small 4oz size. I like this option because it lets you try a beer or two responsibly, especially on a weekday afternoon. This wasn't a light lunch though. We started with the German pretzel. I love pretzels and this one was pretty good. A hefty, decently sized pretzel hanging from hook and served with beer cheese and house-made stone ground mustard. This was good. It was a little on the greasy side but it was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside and lightly salted. It was steaming hot and went well with the cheese and mustard. I'd get it again. For my meal, I ordered the BYO burger. I topped it with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and extra pickles. The WOB burger has always been good to me and this one held true. The burger was cooked medium like I asked. It was fresh and had a perfectly seasoned taste. It's not a huge burger but it hits the spot. The fries on the side were about average too. They were lightly crispy and salted and were good with ketchup. My wife got boneless wings and a side salad. The boneless wings are pretty much just chicken tenders. She ordered them with the hot honey BBQ and she enjoyed them. They were a little on the spicy side but flavorful. Her side house salad was better than your run-of-the-mill side salad. The mixed greens were topped with tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, red onions and crispy garbanzo beans. My wife enjoyed it. In the end, we had a nice quiet lunch. It is build your own burger: pick your cheeses, pick your sauce and your toppings. I went for jalapeño jack, chipotle aioli and as toppings tomato, lettuce and onions. There are more choices, some have a little surcharge. The burger was perfect, medium, just the way I asked for. As a side you can have either fries or tater tots. The fries were wonderful, crispy and hot. They have a huge number of beers, on tap or in bottles/cans. During happy hour there is a 3 beer menu for $5/glass. Beer selection was pretty vast and they def have something for everyone. Food selection was also good for a bar/pub but nothing exceptional IMO. We got the loaded tots, which were surprisingly better than expected, but wayyyy too much Velveeta or whatever cheese paste they used for my liking. We also ordered lemon pepper dry rub wings, which my friends enjoyed, but I didn't. They were a little dry and the lemon pepper seasoning was just meh. But to each their own. Horrible service. Every time I go here to eat I wait forever for my service and have to force interactions with the workers to get help. I recently tried to order to go and online said it would be 20 minutes, I got there when it said it would be ready and I had to wait an additional 45 minutes for my food that was supposed to be ready when I got there. I kept getting excuses as to why it was done and the workers wouldn't even acknowledge me until I would for a conversation to see what was going on.
