Country-fried steak and eggs.
Jens J.

Recently I paid my second visit to Beeliner. This time around, it was decent. We came here a few years back and swore we would never come back because of both the food and service. But as they say, never say never. This latest time I came a little before noon on a Saturday. It was busy but there were still a few open tables. I was seated promptly and able to place my order quickly. I went with my default diner breakfast: country-fried steak. Beeliner serves a generous portion of country-fried steak. And that's only fair because I'd never paid $20 for a country fried steak breakfast before. Still, the steak was kinda salty. It definitely warmed the cockles of my heart that you can get tater tots here. Beeliner is a diner on steroids because they also have a bar with hard liquor. Overall, service, food and ambience were okay. But I'm skeptical that, as Beeliner's menu claims, Beeliner was voted best diner in Alexandria.

A very cute spot with a diner like deal with a little more class. The servers are very clean and the food is delicious and served in large portions. I have not gotten the desserts yet but they look amazing

I love breakfast foods and Beeliner Diner did not disappoint! The pancakes were the best I've had in a long time, highly recommend. Service was amazing. The owner and staff were all attentive and kind and welcoming. Great ambiance. Will be coming back again for sure.

Loaded tots

Excellent service!! Great food- fun cakes-and really delicious pies although please add more key lime layer to the key lime pie! Easy to get a table for 8. Nice drink selection as well, liked the local beers. Loaded tots were yummy! I had the cheesesteak, really good with fresh bread. And...they have homemade ranch. As a ranch fanatic, it was the highlight of my dinner. Lots of free parking in the shopping center. Nice spot!

To bee or not to bee, that is the question. I had no expectations of Beeliner Diner before we got here. When I saw the diner, I knew I would enjoy it -- can you bee-lieve it? The mural, the hive-shaped lights, the bright yellow booths -- all conveyed a sunny, busy sensibility. I couldn't bee-lieve the towering cakes -- the tower cake -- six layers tall and the confetti cake was tall as well. I had a fish Sammy, with a buttery brioche bun, bunpapa? -- crispy fish and fries. My friend had a chicken sandwich and the other had a gyro salad. My friend liked the salad although thought the gyro slices were simply too thick. The tots were crispy and amazing. There are breakfast items, more sandwiches with bunpapa, ice cream, boozy milkshakes and those towering desserts. This was a fun diner -- make a beeline to the Beeliner Diner. The motto is Eat Well, Bee Well! Always bee yourself and do your own sting.

So i dropped by for Happy Hour and got way more than i expected. $9 drinks had me RYTE! $9 apps had me buying x2! The chorizo and short rib tacos + tots were on point! The crew working this Wed was funny and definitely were the perfect hosts. I might have to make this my Wef spot! Livr music every other Wed too.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and they did not disappoint. Service was kind and timely, food was really good , I can taste the gyro as I style this review , the fries and salad everything was seasoned well and super fresh. The diner is bright and lively with drawings on the wall from littlest guest. Black in yellow all around and I can't wait to Beeback!

Stopped by to treat myself to a solo brunch after running some errands in the area. Sat at the bar and was greeted promptly. All of the staff was very welcoming and engaged in casual conversation with me throughout my visit. I ordered the chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes, eggs and turkey sausage. Everything was really good. I also had an espresso martini, which was also delicious. I would definitely return to try more items, especially their bakery items.

The Berliner diner is unique. It's decorated with neon beehive lights and set as a modern diner. The service was good. They were not really busy so it was quiet. The food was good but not great. I had the burrito bowl. The flavor was good but the chicken was a bit overcooked and dry. Portions were a bit chewy. My son had the gyro platter. He did not like the green beans and his food was not hot. My best friend had the chicken skewers and they tasted fine but again not hot. Their dessert case looked amazing but we didn't try any. The bathrooms were clean. I may try them again.

I have been here several times and really enjoy the food here. I have a couple go to menu items I order every time and French toast is def one of them. I have tried the breakfast burrito in the past and was not impressed but overall this restaurant is great. Service has always been good. I enjoy their espresso martinis and mimosa options. Their 3.5 rating should be at least a 4...

Blackened Chicken Pasta

First of all Mathias our sever was so kind and helpful with our food selection. The food we tried was all so well seasoned - what a yummy surprise. My daughters grilled chicken was very flavorful and well portioned. My Alfredo pasta dish was pipping hot and saucey - the chicken went very well with it ... pro tip ask for an additional serving of Alfredo sauce to dip your garlic bread in it! My husbands smashed burger earned them the 4 out 5 stars - it was good flavor but not truly a smashed patty in essence, too thick to call it a smash. In addition the pickles that come inside were very tasty but studded with cloves - WHOLE cloves ... not a pleasant experience to sink your teeth into. Overall can't wait to come back to keep working through the menu! Oh and the carrot cake - MASSIVE and delightful!

He was in the mood for Lahmacun (sounds like Lahamajoun) super thin, crispy pizza topped with a mixture of minced meat with peppers, tomato, herbs, and spices. More fine, light, and delicate than the typical American thin pizza. The service, drinks, and food were beyond stellar in Narman. We felt like the only customers there and were waited on by many staff. The highlight of the day there was their pizza and their beverage presentation and flavors. We came on a weekday night and were the only people there in the end. My husband was impressed at how upscale the restaurant was and it was the finest Turkish restaurant he ever visited. He said it was similar to the hotel dining place he lived at in Turkey. This was our first restaurant in downtown Alexandria and one of our best experiences in Alexandria. The Lahmacun was the finest Turkish pizza my husband ever had. He ordered three of them! Each pizza was served on a large wood board with extra toppings on the side like lemon wedges, cilantro, and onions. They are so fine and thin that you can roll them up to eat. We had to put some of the last pizza aside for take out. I ate the takeout piece and was very impressed how delicious it was after being in the fridge overnight & re-heated. I loved the flavors of the Lahmacun and I don't even care for pizza that much. It is my most preferred pizza in my life ever next to the Crazy Ex in The Thirsty Goat in Clarksville, Tennessee. I ordered a Turkish dish with a rich and ancient history, Hunkar Begendi, or "Sultan's Delight." It dates back several centuries, and it was prepared for the sultans and high-ranking officials, and was served during special occasions and celebrations. The Hunkar Begendi had lamb and velvet soft eggplant with spices. I ordered it with a side of rice. It was very delicious and unique. Yet the Lahmacun despite its simplicity stole the show and cost 1/3 of the price of the Hunkar Begendi. For my beverage, I ordered The Elma. It has a stunning presentation in a smoke filled glass box. The Elma is a beverage with Bourbon, Peach liquor, vanilla maple, Apple butter,Lemon juice, and Apple cider. You have to watch the videos of how it is presented at the table. At the end of our dinner, they played happy birthday and surprised my husband with an ice cream and pumpkin dessert with a candle. So wonderful & heartfelt. It was a fascinating and flavorful dish. The pumpkin tasted like sweet potato & was different. This is a must see place for Turkish cuisine and the finest restaurant service. Prices are low to fair for such high quality food and service. Five Stars.

All of the hip young girls in high school recommended this place to me and my friends and lets just say, they have never been more wrong. My girls and I went this weekend for a birthday brunch. I wanted a crepe, but when I saw it was 17 DOLLARS to slap some Nutella and strawberries on a piece of crepe is outrageous. I ordered a "Continental Breakfast," which, with tax and tip, cost me $30 DOLLARS. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when they gave me a plate of rabbit food. All 6 of us looked at the plate and laughed. Seriously, my 5 year old neice can eat 3 times as much of that in one sitting. So, in what world would that be enough food for a grown woman? My friend then went on to order the French toast for a grand total of $36 DOLLARS. Mind you, there was only one piece of toast, and the Inside was raw and soggy. Tasted like eating wet, soaked toilet paper. On top of the overpriced food and small portions, our "server" came to our table for a total of ONE SINGULAR TIME. My friend had also ordered a Chai Latte. Surprise, Surprise! It never came, and they still charged her for it. I think the nice man who brought us our food could see the look on our faces when we received our food, because he then brought us a free side of French fries. It is a huge problem when the french fries were the only sufficient thing I put in my mouth at this restaurant. I please, genuinely beg all of you to NOT waste your money. I promise there is anywhere else where you can get a crepe for double the size and half the cost. Once we left, we went down to Call Your Mother, the Jewish Deli, to get more food, as all of us left with our tummies still rumbling. Mind you, a full bagel sandwich and coffee cost HALF THE PRICE of one meal at Fontaine. Horrible. Mind you, it is 2 days later, and I am still thinking about this. I fully created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review. I think I would have a better experience eating an IHOP Continental breakfast than whatever I put in my mouth at this restaurant. Not worth the hype at all. Save your hard-earned cash and be a big baller elsewhere!
