Everybody has any reason to say it's a better burger whether it's for the purple onions, pickles , or buns. There is a place which serves the Cali Burger. On a West Portal stroll there is a burger place which sells the Cali Burger. The Cali Burger means fresher ingredients usually locally sourced in California. Calibur is the place to get an organic grass fed burger. I got the double cheese burger with Calibur sauce. It was tasty and it had great flavor along with a soft bun. The fresh grass fed cheese burger pairs well to eat with cheese fries in SF. The fries were crispy and saucy and got a bit messy. Calibur also sells chili cheese dogs along with different flavors of shake including Neapolitan. Overall a good place to fresh grass fed cheese burger on a bun. You can get organic beef that's grass "fed"with Calibur sauce "spread" and a soft fresh bun "bread"although they don't have onion rings or purple onions you can get raw with yellow onions or the onions that are "red" The organic ingredients locally grown under the California "sun" get a grass fed cheeseburger medium or well "done" take a shot with Calibur and I ain't talking about a weapon like a "gun" but get something loaded with beef and cheese on a "bun" read more

I was pretty sad after reading all the raving reviews of this place. I ordered through DoorDash and did a pick up, but maybe that's why the burger was just okay? Might have gotten soggy during transportation. The burger itself tastes like a burger I'd make at home. Maybe it's healthy?? Haha What saved my experience was probably the shoestring fries. I've never seen a place offer chili and garlic fries but serve the chili and garlic on the side. It came across as lazy, but I guess it can also be efficient for the staff. Not sure if the cashier was not paying attention or if it was too big of an order, but a few of our burgers were messed up and missing things that we requested like grilled onions instead of raw and pickles. The burger was manageable. Although the sauces came on the side, the fries were cooked well. As we were eating, a line started to form. Some of he best fries in SF hands down. We got the garlic fries and the calibur fries (like animal style)! And they both blew us away with flavor. The best garlic fries I have ever had bc garlic was cooked all the way down and super concentrated with that garlic flavor so savory & tantalized my taste buds. My guy said the burger was amazing made with high quality beef a 5/5. The only thing that fell flat was the veggie burger it was very lackluster and they didn't add my cheese which costs extra. I was really impressed that when my burger arrived, it really looked just like the picture and I was excited to dig in. The buns were soft and stayed perfect in the box. I definitely think it is a step up from In and Out, with some fancy burger options. It is very popular--it got crowded for the dinner rush. Literally sitting outside writing this review cause it's so good. I had to come back after my fiancée and I tried it off of DoorDash last weekend that it was still on my mind this week. Burger is juicy, bun is soft, fries have a nice bite. You have to ask for the Calibur ketchup and add it to your burger & fries because that's the highlight for me. I don't really like condiments but something about their ketchup keeps me hooked. It reminds me of minestrone soup with some fresh blended/mashed tomatoes. My order was the triple-burger with calibur fries, I had this delivered to me so I can't describe the ambiance or the service of the place. The burger was not great, dry and overcooked, I'm not sure if thats how it's supposed to be, but that's how mine turned out. Really nothing special about the burger.
