Walking distance form my Hilton hotel & it was a good spot to pick up a quick bite to eat. However I did notice they were a bit short staffed and the line was tremendously long, but it didn't bother me. It did bother other patrons, but hey if you're patient enough you'll enjoy the smash burger at the end of the wait.

Visited on a Saturday night around 6pm with a friend, wasn't too busy only 3-4 ahead of us. Plenty of open seating at Saluhall. Food: Vic Mac Jr. - ordered with a single beef patty, this came on a soft pillowy bun that had a subtle sweetness, beef patty was smashed thin and crispy with a wide lacey skirt nice beefy flavor with great mailard browning but ate a touch dry, generous amount of shredded lettuce which added a fresh lightness to the burger, pickles added a nice tang, raw onions added a touch of spice, sauce was creamy and American cheese added the melty gooey richness The OG - took a bite of my friends and prefered this a little over Vic's the fresh tomato added a nice added a juiciness which was a nice touch Curly fries - good, fried nice and crispy, well seasoned, pretty standard flavor Service was good, quick easy order at the counter, they provided a buzzer that rings when food is ready for pickup, water cups provided as well and ketchup and napkins were self serve. Overall a solid spot for a smash burger in the downtown area. Worth a try if you like thin and crispy patties.

Really cool business with good variety of smash burgers. They got a good chat on them and the trade mark lacy edges you'd expect from a smash burger. They seem to be the only business left running downstairs at this time so there's lots of seating available. Wish their box came with a drink or something paid like $25 for a box with the special at the time. Prolly can't frequent them at that price. Outside is expectedly gross unless there's an event that caused SF to clean up recently. easy parking validation if you spend $25 in ikeas food hall.

Not a great experience overall :( I've had plenty of smash burgers, but NONE of them had PAPER THIN patties. Like I know it is smashed and supposed to be on the thinner side but you could literally see through the "patty" how much meat are you actually getting?? It was honestly ridiculous. Not to mention the inch thick pile of lettuce. Not to mention we spent $90 on four burgers and two fries. Whaaaat?? I was honestly kind of pissed. Also not to mention this "food hall" is kind of failing. It is not a draw for lunch as we were one group out of two on a Thursday at noon. Our order wasn't even correct! One person asked for no sauce and one person wanted a double patty. Not sure if we paid for double patty or not. Will never go back. Better burgers elsewhere.

Smish Smash is a great place to stop by for a casual smash burger. I ordered the Double WOW, which comes with white American cheese, onions, and pickles. It was a really good burger, but I did have a few critiques. I think the burger could have been almost twice as good if it had some veggies in it. The patty was very greasy, which caused the wrapper and buns to get soggy toward the end. It was also pretty hard to eat since the patty and cheese would constantly slide to the bottom when I picked it up. Lettuce and tomato could have elevated it to a more balanced burger because they would have absorbed some of the grease and helped add a little friction to keep everything together. When I asked if I could add veggies, they said they weren't able to do that, which felt a bit strange. They do have another burger on the menu that comes with veggies, but I specifically wanted one with white American cheese, and this was the only option with that setup. The fries were also pretty mid. They gave a large portion when ordering a side, but they were basic curly fries with nothing special. Honestly, they tasted like frozen Arby's fries. Overall, the best thing about this place is the beef skirt they get on the patties. It is on the pricier side, but the extremely crispy edges are great and definitely make the burger stand out. It's not the best burger I've had, but if I'm in the area, I'd still stop by for a quick bite.

Smish Smash Burger was really good. The meat tasted fresh, seasoned just right, and had those crispy edges that a smash burger's supposed to have. You can tell it's cooked right. The staff were very kind and the interior had a beautiful ambiance and plenty of seating. Definitely my go-to when I'm in the mood for a smash burger.

Great burgers. The patty and cheese were really juicy. And the fries were crispy the perfect shoe string! Very casual spot that is in a food court area with other restaurants. We went right when it opened and there was already a line. Would def come here again!

I enjoyed a double wow smash burger here this weekend. Smish smash is located in Saluhall SF, next to IKEA. They have ample seating and had a DJ inside the market which was fun. Burger was good, I'd get it again. Friendly customer service even with a high volume of customers. Only odd part is you need a security guard to open the bathroom for you.

Heaven on a bun! Smush smash is one of the best smash burgers in San Francisco. There is heavy competition in the San Francisco area, and smash smash definitely is stepping up to that challenge. The burger is perfectly seasoned. The cheese is melty, the produce is fresh, and the buns just pull it all together for that quintessential perfect bite each and every time. I'm normally not a curly Frey, kind of girl, but only I needed to try them. Hello Perfect fries! Crispy, tasty, deliciousness. This is a great place to go in San Francisco for a sumptuous burger and fries meal!

I had tried smish smash at music festivals but never the physical location so I was pumped to be nearby. Even before I thought this was a top 3 smash in SF. Physical location did not disappoint. Line was long but moved quickly and food came out in about 10 minutes. Burger is incredible so are the fries tho I think I'm partial to the curly fries. They have the best ranch and the bar next to their stand has great beer selection.

You kind find the spot inside of the ikea foodhall. The burger itself is pretty large and there's a nice sized smashed patty on the burger. It wasn't dry and it had really good flavor. The fries were nice and crispy but not toooo crispy. Overall this was a good burger and fries.

When I think of San Francisco, smash burgers or even the phrase "smish smash," would never come to mind as New York City takes the reigns. We came in before their 3PM lunch break and ordered the below: Impossible Burger Cheeseboiga Lue Box (Curly Fries) Dac Biet Lue Box (Shoestring Fries) Their hours are a bit different than an ordinary burger institution, however Smish Smash is worth adjusting your schedule to adhere to its. Their staff are caring because they suggested we get the lue box combos instead of ordering the upcharged full priced sides, which is much appreciated-they were right, the lue box combos were enough! I did notice that their website vs. IRL menu has a variance between their impossible patty upcharge-it's actually $2, not $1. Their curly fries are nostalgic and remind me of Arby's without it being an Arby's dupe. You can't go wrong with the classic shoestring fries-either fry option is fried in tallow which is supposedly healthier than vegetable/peanut oil. If you are able to arrive before/after their 3PM lunch break, I would 100% recommend stopping by IKEA/the Saluhall food hall-to this day I am dreaming of Smish Smash's smash burgers and both of their fry types!

I've been passing this place up almost everyday since IKEA opened, so decided to go in and give it a go. Smish Smash is located on the street level of the entrance of Saluhall food court. On the menu I had the Classic burger and my friend had the Cheeseboiga. Fairly priced at about $10-13 depending on your option. Bruh, that smashed patty with the crispies at the edges is almost a sin. Brioche bun with shredded lettuce, yum yum cheese with 1000 island (mayo + ketchup). I wouldn't say the burger was amazing or something to crave for, but it was decently good. Service was ok at best and a little confusing - there's QR codes everywhere so it seems like you order from your phone. Then we got to the counter and there's more QR codes. We finally saw the register and the counter person was just looking at us like a glazed donut in a display case. We were so confused. Then we said can we order? Which prompted the human ChatGPT to run its job. Awkward much. Anyhow, besides the lack of customer service, the burger was good. Could have used a bit of salt, but a great alternative. Not sure what the rave is about, I can make the same burger at home with stuff from Trader Joe's, if not better. Would I come here again? Sure, if I was in the area.

Cheeseboiga - single / Wow, one of the better smash burgers out there.

They have a nice menu that with a variety of items. The people seated next to us were enjoying the salmon and it looked absolutely delicious. We went for the burgers, because it's one of their must try items on the menu. It's a Smashburger with gooey cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and this delicious deliciously soft tasty bun. Diners tip: the burger comes with onions, and we both asked for them to be grilled. This is definitely the way to go. The burger is very generous in size, snd delicious. Perfectly seasoned, well-made, and it is that taste sensation that we all crave when eating a burger. The fries were tasty and lightly seasoned, and if you can get through the entire burger and the fries, you get a gold star. I did my usual two bites and I was done and yes, I took the rest home with me. This is a great restaurant and definitely should be on your list of places to try!
