Great neighbourhood pizza, beer and wine spot in the Outer Richmond area. Really appreciate proper menu pricing with no surcharge disguised as an SF mandate. Offering a few beers on tap (appx $9/pint), and a selection of wines and bottled beverages. Most pizzas are in the mid $20 range and are of a think deep dish style with 6 slices. Easily feeds 3 average eaters. Also tried the brussels side dish ($13) which was excellent and served over a burrata cheese - very tasty. Only complaints are minor: (a) the ranch dressing ($2/serving) was too herbal (excess fennel or similar), and (b) the record selection (they play vinyl live) was a bit odd for a Friday evening - just wierd and not upbeat. Whyyy is this place so far from me?? I came here on the weekend to get my hands on their famous bagels, and now I'm hooked. From the very first bite, I knew I had found the IT bagel spot in the city. I ordered one pumpernickel and one poppyseed. The staff member helping me was super efficient and scooped up my bagels in a flash. She asked me if I wanted any cream cheese. I dubiously asked if they had any vegan cream cheese fully expecting the answer to be no, as I didn't see it listed on the menu, but she confirmed instantly that they do offer vegan scallion cream cheese and added a compostable tub of it to my order. She also directed me to the canister of compostable knives available for takeout. I was in and out quicker than I expected. While waiting for the bus, I used the plastic knife I picked up to slice one of the bagels and slather on some of the vegan scallion cream cheese. I was impressed by how glossy the bagels appeared on the outside but how soft they are in the inside. The vegan scallion cream cheese really elevated the bagel to the next level. Idk what they put in it, but it's crack. It doesn't taste anything like the original Kite Hill spread I've gotten elsewhere. Such a great place to get dinner with friends! Not only was the pizza delicious but the vibe was incredibly cool. The wait on a Wednesday evening was kind of long but doesn't feel too bad when you're with good company. My friend and I waited about an hour around 6:30. The mushroom pizza was very flavorful. The corners and sides were crunchy, it was topped with lots of cheese and mushrooms. It was the perfect amount for 2 people. We also got the olive oil cake which came with a dollop of what I think is whipped cream cheese. It had a strong olive oil flavor, extremely moist and delicious. I love that SF has a tear and dip bagel spot! The line goes quick because the menu is simple. Also there's an efficient assembly line of just two people lol. There's a variety of bagels from plain, sesame, poppy, everything, egg everything, pumpernickel, pumpernickel everything, and others I'm forgetting. Each bagel is $3. This is my second time at The Laundromat, and it did not disappoint. I haven't come yet for their dinner service (which I definitely will one day), but I instead came in the morning for their bagels. I came during opening around 8 AM, and there was no line and a bountiful amount of bagels. I decided to order an egg everything bagel for $3, alongside a Calabrian chili cream cheese for $7. I don't think I've seen an egg everything bagel before, so I knew I had to get it the first time, and the second time was no exception. I want to call out that this spot in the morning is definitely a grab and go. When you first enter, they have racks of their bagels out and you will need to let their workers know how many bagels you want of each and which ones, so they can bag them up for you. You will then go to the counter to pay and order any house-made cream cheeses there. The vibes are very chill and relaxed. I really love these bagels because of their fluffy interior but nice bite. When paired with their cream cheeses, it makes such a balanced combination. The calabrian chili has a very small hint of spice, but it's whipped to perfection! OK so I've been dying to come here for years but haven't because the line has intimidated me. I finally went, and it was SO delicious! We got the caesar salad and sausage & pepper pizza. I am so excited to come back and try other pizzas and the burger, although, it will be hard for me not to order the same thing. The only issue with this place is that it is so popular that there's always a wait/line. It was about an hour and a half wait if you wanted to be seated at an actual table or you can stand in line to sit at the bar (which can be inside or outside). We stood in line for the bar, and it took maybe 30 mins?? Honestly, it could be way worse so don't be intimidated by the line. I've had their bagels and they were comparable to really good, chewy NY bagels. So we had high expectations for their Detroit pizza and double cheese burgers. We waited in line for about 50 minutes and landed on bar seating. The buns were a bit too soft and they didn't seem toasted, so while holding it, it became smooshed. Potato salad was ok, though I'd probably prefer fries with ketchup. It's half-cut roaster potatoes with a bland dressing, because the potatoes are big pieces. If they were cut smaller, you'll taste the dressing more than just potatoes. 3.5/5 SAUSAGE AND PEPPERS PIZZA ~ fennel sausages, Jimmy Nardello pepper cream, pearl peppers, mozzarella, & red sauce. This was ok. Crust was crispy, but the pizza bread was more dense than we would have liked. The Jimmy Nardello pepper cream sauce on top was heavy and it was too saucy for us. Mozzarella had a good cheese pull and was good. But like the burger, it felt heavy. Needed more acidity to balance and lighten the load. 3.5/5 I guess on Wednesday nights, people don't mind waiting an hour for the burgers. Known best for their pizzas for dinner and burger nights, the Laundromat has a surprisingly strong bagel selection for breakfast. We just happened to be on our way to Constance Matcha down the street, and saw the HUGE rack of bagels standing front and center at the Laundromat as we walked by. I've tried a lot of bagels in this life from NYC and locally, so hey.. why not? I picked up a pair of their poppyseed bagels which surprised me.. I say are amazingly good.. perfect somewhat dense yet chewy texture once you get beyond the perfectly slightly crisp outer shell that breaks away at the slightest provocation. This is a THICK bagel with a beautiful consistency. The second bagel I tried two days later, and it was still tender at first bite. They also had their share of six different cream cheeses, but I skipped those to stay somewhat healthy.. I would have loved a small serving of the cream cheese, but the tubs were enough for at least six bagels if doled out generously - way too much cheese from my two bagels. Whatever you choose, I found the service here to be super friendly cheery and welcoming - like they know you already! =) Since this first visit, I've come back a couple times for the bagels here already! Came on a Wed night for the smashburger and wow it didn't disappoint! I wouldn't say I'm much of a burger fan but heard I had to try the smashburger here so we came around 6pm and waited ~45 min for a table for 4. They call you when the table is ready so we were free to walk around. For the smashburgers, they have a beef and a vegetarian patty version, both with 2 patties, double cheese, pickles, and onion. No substitutions but trust me we all got the og burger and it was delicious. Loved the crispy patties with a nice charred edge. I think this may have changed my mind about smashburgers entirely, it was that good. We also got the crispy brussel sprouts to share (on a bed of goat cheese for extra flavor) and the mushroom pizza. New to the neighborhood and still pretty new to San Francisco, we kept hearing about burger night at The Laundromat, so we decided to check it out. We originally put our name on the list and were quoted about a 1.5 hour wait, but we hopped in the bar line and ended up seated within about 15 minutes. The bar area was a little tight and could've used a little more awareness from guests scooting down, but the staff was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving. The cocktails and wine selection were both solid, and the vinyl spinning in the background gave the place a great atmosphere. From a food standpoint, the burger has the bones of being an excellent burger. The bun was well chosen, the patties were cooked properly with a good crust, and the combination of lettuce, onions, pickles, special sauce, and American cheese worked really well together without trying too hard. Overall the balance was there. My only critique was the seasoning. Mine was very heavy handed with the salt, and after trying my partner's burger too, both leaned saltier than they needed to. The potato salad was good and honestly could've used a little more seasoning, We finished with a cannoli that was excellent. Not overly sweet, with a great crispy shell and nice balance to the filling. On my quest to find the best burger in San Francisco, I'm not sure this one is quite in contention yet, but there's definitely potential here and enough positives that I'd come back and give it another shot. read more

Really cute pizza spot on Balboa! From a distance, I was like, "Is this a popular laundry hour or something?" until I saw the subtext advertising their pizza and bagels underneath. Came on a Saturday around 6PM and had a pretty short 30-40 minute wait, in which we got some boba from Purple Kow nearby. Our group of 7 was pretty hungry so we ordered five pizzas (and some brussels sprouts) which was way too much. Brussels were really good, goat cheese and balsamic is a tried and true combo. Nice crisp on the surface. Sausage pizza was definitely my favorite, really rich and acidic tomato sauce that paired with the sweet drop peppers. Perfectly balanced bites all around. Really nice crust. The rest of the pizzas were pretty good, but I felt like lacking that something special (although the crust on all of them were great). The maitake in the mushroom pizza was great, but I felt like it was somewhat overpowered by the cheese (of which there was a LOT). The vodka sauce margherita didn't lean strongly enough into the vodka sauce for me, and tasted more like just a red sauce with some cream. There was quite a lot of food but I'm glad I was able to try multiple dishes on the menu. The smashburger came with potatoes. The burger was delicious. The meat was good; the cheese was good; all of it was good. The potatoes were okay, not my favorite. The crispy brussels were delicious. I loved the addition of cheese, and the brussels were cooked and seasoned well. It was a heavy dish, but I would highly recommend it, especially if you like brussels sprout and cheese. I finally got to try their smashburgers on wednesday nights! I drove past there around 4:55pm and saw a long line down the block, when I finished finding parking (which was not terrible) it was around 5:05pm, we got seated at the bar since all tables were already taken. We ordered the crispy brussels sprouts as an appetizer to share, and the taste was incredible. It was also cooked perfectly crispy on the outside and not too soft or hard in the inside. I got the smashburger - the meat patty was perfect, it had crispy edges and it was seasoned well. I like the concept of shrettuce because it's easier to chew through than just a whole lettuce piece. The french potatoes on the side were also delicious! I thought the bun got really soggy very quickly though, within two minutes of my meal I had to switch from picking up my burger to eating it with a fork and knife. The pizza crust is the highlight. It's really really good and they clearly know bread since their bagels are also excellent (see my previous review). Eating there is not for me- I'm not a fan of lines or rushed eating and the 60 minute time limit makes sense since they are busy but not my jam. The pizza sauce is pretty blah- a bit too thin and acidic, it isn't horrible but definitely not my favorite. No substitutions or modifications on the pizzas. Overall I do think the crust would make me consider getting take out again but everything else was just ok I will say that the bagels are really excellent if you can get them warm. We got an everything and a sesame with the calabrian chilli cream cheese. The bagels are nice and doughy with a good bite. These are a pretty solid option for great bagels in the city! They remind me a lot of the rip and dip bagels on the East Coast and I'm glad they're in the city. I wish they had smaller tubs of cream cheese or as option to add onto bagels in a smaller manner. I tried this place for the first time this past week after hearing raving reviews about it for about a year or so. My friend and I were seated at a high table after waiting for 30 minutes during a weekday dinnertime. Their menu had such a cute aesthetic! My friend and I settled on their Mushroom Combo pizza. The pizza took a bit longer than expected for it to come out, but it was worth the wait. The pizza is in a rectangular shape that is split in six pre-cut slices. The mushrooms were delicious, as they were earthy, juicy, and not-soggy. The cheese was slightly overwhelming but of high quality, and the cheese pull for each slice separation and bite was satisfying. I was impressed with the crust, which was quite crispy and balanced well with the rest of the pizza. I've heard about some other personal favorites that I would like to try next time, such as the Broccoli pizza and Classic Pepperoni pizza. read more
