The wait on a Wednesday evening was kind of long but doesn't feel too bad when you're with good company. My friend and I waited about an hour around 6:30. The mushroom pizza was very flavorful. The corners and sides were crunchy, it was topped with lots of cheese and mushrooms. It was the perfect amount for 2 people. We also got the olive oil cake which came with a dollop of what I think is whipped cream cheese. It had a strong olive oil flavor, extremely moist and delicious. We were seated at the bar and although it was a little tight, it was nice to be able to look around the decorated area behind the bar. Tons of vinyls and quirky decor. Arrived right before 9am opening on Sunday morning, and there's already a 20-30 person line. Took about 15-20 min to get in from there. Each bagel is 3$, and cream cheese tubs are 6-9$ each with both sweet/savory options (they dont offer smears) I got the salt, everything egg, everything pumpernickel, and cinnamon raisin. the texture is amazing on these bagels, however I wish the cinnamon raisin had more raisins/cinnamon flavor! all of their cream cheese spreads were whipped light, not salty, and especially the strawberry flavor was so good. read more

This is my second time at The Laundromat, and it did not disappoint. I haven't come yet for their dinner service (which I definitely will one day), but I instead came in the morning for their bagels. I came during opening around 8 AM, and there was no line and a bountiful amount of bagels. I decided to order an egg everything bagel for $3, alongside a Calabrian chili cream cheese for $7. I don't think I've seen an egg everything bagel before, so I knew I had to get it the first time, and the second time was no exception. I want to call out that this spot in the morning is definitely a grab and go. When you first enter, they have racks of their bagels out and you will need to let their workers know how many bagels you want of each and which ones, so they can bag them up for you. You will then go to the counter to pay and order any house-made cream cheeses there. The vibes are very chill and relaxed. I really love these bagels because of their fluffy interior but nice bite. When paired with their cream cheeses, it makes such a balanced combination. The calabrian chili has a very small hint of spice, but it's whipped to perfection! OK so I've been dying to come here for years but haven't because the line has intimidated me. I finally went, and it was SO delicious! We got the caesar salad and sausage & pepper pizza. The caesar salad might have been the best one i've ever had - it had lots of parmesan and these cheese crunchies. The pizza was incredible - there was a pepper aioli drizzled over the top. I am so excited to come back and try other pizzas and the burger, although, it will be hard for me not to order the same thing. The only issue with this place is that it is so popular that there's always a wait/line. It was about an hour and a half wait if you wanted to be seated at an actual table or you can stand in line to sit at the bar (which can be inside or outside). We stood in line for the bar, and it took maybe 30 mins?? Honestly, it could be way worse so don't be intimidated by the line. We just happened to be on our way to Constance Matcha down the street, and saw the HUGE rack of bagels standing front and center at the Laundromat as we walked by. I've tried a lot of bagels in this life from NYC and locally, so hey.. why not? I picked up a pair of their poppyseed bagels which surprised me.. I say are amazingly good.. perfect somewhat dense yet chewy texture once you get beyond the perfectly slightly crisp outer shell that breaks away at the slightest provocation. This is a THICK bagel with a beautiful consistency. The second bagel I tried two days later, and it was still tender at first bite. They also had their share of six different cream cheeses, but I skipped those to stay somewhat healthy.. I would have loved a small serving of the cream cheese, but the tubs were enough for at least six bagels if doled out generously - way too much cheese from my two bagels. New to the neighborhood and still pretty new to San Francisco, we kept hearing about burger night at The Laundromat, so we decided to check it out. We originally put our name on the list and were quoted about a 1.5 hour wait, but we hopped in the bar line and ended up seated within about 15 minutes. The bar area was a little tight and could've used a little more awareness from guests scooting down, but the staff was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving. The cocktails and wine selection were both solid, and the vinyl spinning in the background gave the place a great atmosphere. From a food standpoint, the burger has the bones of being an excellent burger. The bun was well chosen, the patties were cooked properly with a good crust, and the combination of lettuce, onions, pickles, special sauce, and American cheese worked really well together without trying too hard. Overall the balance was there. My only critique was the seasoning. Mine was very heavy handed with the salt, and after trying my partner's burger too, both leaned saltier than they needed to. The potato salad was good and honestly could've used a little more seasoning, We finished with a cannoli that was excellent. Not overly sweet, with a great crispy shell and nice balance to the filling. On my quest to find the best burger in San Francisco, I'm not sure this one is quite in contention yet, but there's definitely potential here and enough positives that I'd come back and give it another shot. read more

I can't believe I've never tried the laundromat in all my years in San Francisco but I finally got the chance to you over the weekend and I must say that it's a bit overhyped. There was a small line when I went in the morning around 10 but it moved pretty quickly, and I got a few different bagels to sample including pumpernickel and everything bagels. The spread was really fantastic. I got the Calabrian chili one end it had a great kick. will still being super smooth to spread. The look and feel of both the bagels and spread reminds me of pop bagels in New York but the flavor and texture of the bagels is a little less good. (This one felt more tough to chew through/split). Came on a Saturday around 6PM and had a pretty short 30-40 minute wait, in which we got some boba from Purple Kow nearby. Our group of 7 was pretty hungry so we ordered five pizzas (and some brussels sprouts) which was way too much. Brussels were really good, goat cheese and balsamic is a tried and true combo. Nice crisp on the surface. Sausage pizza was definitely my favorite, really rich and acidic tomato sauce that paired with the sweet drop peppers. Perfectly balanced bites all around. Really nice crust. The rest of the pizzas were pretty good, but I felt like lacking that something special (although the crust on all of them were great). The maitake in the mushroom pizza was great, but I felt like it was somewhat overpowered by the cheese (of which there was a LOT). The vodka sauce margherita didn't lean strongly enough into the vodka sauce for me, and tasted more like just a red sauce with some cream. The pizza crust is the highlight. It's really really good and they clearly know bread since their bagels are also excellent (see my previous review). Eating there is not for me- I'm not a fan of lines or rushed eating and the 60 minute time limit makes sense since they are busy but not my jam. The pizza sauce is pretty blah- a bit too thin and acidic, it isn't horrible but definitely not my favorite. No substitutions or modifications on the pizzas. Overall I do think the crust would make me consider getting take out again but everything else was just ok I will say that the bagels are really excellent if you can get them warm. Once they cool down and if you eat them later (room temp or toasted) it's a solid bagel but it's really only worth a special trip in my opinion if they are hot and fresh read more

The only other time I've been here was for their bagels. As a group, we ordered several dishes to share and almost each one of us ordered a smashburger. There was quite a lot of food but I'm glad I was able to try multiple dishes on the menu. The smashburger came with potatoes. The burger was delicious. The meat was good; the cheese was good; all of it was good. The potatoes were okay, not my favorite. The crispy brussels were delicious. I went here twice in one day - once in the morning to try the bagels, and again in the evening for their dinner menu. Highly recommend both. The bagels - extremely good, New York level bagels. They're rip and dip (like Pop Up Bagels in NYC) which I'm a huge fan of. Got the salt bagel, eggything (egg everything), and pumpernickel with scallion cream cheese. The cream cheese is incredible, super rich and kind of buttery. The eggything was really fluffy and definitely my favorite of the three, with plain salt a close second. I liked that it wasn't extremely salty. At night, we did have to wait but it was only 30 minutes for a party of five, and there are nice waiting areas to stay in the meantime or you can walk around Richmond. We sat inside but the outdoor seating looked nice so I definitely want to try that again on a nice day. Got the blood orange soda, which was refreshing and sweeter than the bottled ones you'd get at Trader Joe's. We shared two pizzas between 5 people which was plenty, they're Detroit style so pretty thick. The vodka margherita was pretty good but my favorite was the Sausage and peppers, which has these really cute spherical peppers that looked like cherry tomatoes at first, and is topped off with a creamy sauce on top. I finally got to try their smashburgers on wednesday nights! I drove past there around 4:55pm and saw a long line down the block, when I finished finding parking (which was not terrible) it was around 5:05pm, we got seated at the bar since all tables were already taken. We ordered the crispy brussels sprouts as an appetizer to share, and the taste was incredible. It was also cooked perfectly crispy on the outside and not too soft or hard in the inside. I got the smashburger - the meat patty was perfect, it had crispy edges and it was seasoned well. I like the concept of shrettuce because it's easier to chew through than just a whole lettuce piece. The french potatoes on the side were also delicious! I thought the bun got really soggy very quickly though, within two minutes of my meal I had to switch from picking up my burger to eating it with a fork and knife. I tried this place for the first time this past week after hearing raving reviews about it for about a year or so. My friend and I were seated at a high table after waiting for 30 minutes during a weekday dinnertime. Their menu had such a cute aesthetic! My friend and I settled on their Mushroom Combo pizza. The mushrooms were delicious, as they were earthy, juicy, and not-soggy. I was impressed with the crust, which was quite crispy and balanced well with the rest of the pizza. I've had their bagels too and they are good, but I have two bagel go-to's for me which are closer and reflect more NY Style bagels for me. So my daughter was right. At 4:30 she was second in line but by 4:50 the line was to the end of the block and only heat lamp outside seating was available for those near the end of the line. Now you can imagine seating happens pretty fast so I would not hesitate to decide what you want or else you won't get your food that quickly. As we were the third or fourth table to order our burgers came out almost instantaneously even before our salad. There are no alterations allowed (they don't ask how you want it cooked or if you want anything on the side). I heard one lady try to do that and the waitress said no. My sense is they have those burgers and plates ready to go like a cafeteria line. I should mention there is a meatless option. Well I liked the burger and would put it right up there with the others mentioned. Actually more than Sam's. I also liked the French -style potato salad which were a nice touch over fries. Have to say that a couple of my companions were cold on the potatoes and referred to the burger as salty. Heck though, this my review. What gives this a 4th star was the whole aura from the cute menu to the definitely trendy neighbourhood crowd at the eclectic vibe of the venue. Definitely a trendy place to go with those in their 20s to 40s with groups of people. was told the single sex bathroom was rather interesting but as is with single sex bathrooms, the line for that was almost as long as the line to get in the restaurant. Noticeably absent were kids (located around the corner from a school), old neighbourhood Asian people as the restaurants in this area have been about Asian cuisine.?? Food was EXCELLENT; Smash burgers are delicious and reasonably priced; Brussel sprouts were amazing! Love the decor! Music is awesome! Waiter was quite possibly the most arrogant and rude person I've ever met. I've been twice since moving to the area, but after this I won't be back. read more

I've been here in the AM for bagels and on a Wednesday night for the smash burgers. Bagels are 10/10 but wish they had smaller containers of cream cheese instead of the big tubs. The big tubs are shareable which is nice but not when you want to get different flavors or just don't need left over cream cheese. The cream cheese situation keeps me from coming here and finding alternatives... but despite that the bagels are delicious! The smash burgers were also a hit! They come with a potato salad which we very yummy. We did wait about 45 minutes and the line just kept growing so he prepared to wait :) I tried the tinto de verano and would not recommend at all, it just tasted like grape soda. Maybe I got a bad one but would just say to skip it. Service here was great, super nice. Cant say much about the ambiance as I was seated outside but it looked nice and cozy! read more
