Decided to try this place out with the husband and friends who enjoy beer. I don't like beer but go for the food I can't say for the beer drinkers, but the food was just mediocre. My favorite thing was the Bavarian Soft Pretzel. It serves 4, but really could have passed for 6 people to share. It was warm and fresh out of the oven. The beer cheese was to die for! Mom and I stopped by on a whim when our first restaurant of choice had an hour and a half wait. What a happy accident! We did come around dinner time on a Saturday and had no issues sitting at the bar right away. The bartender came over and explained the menu thoroughly. Mom got the turkey club and I got the harvest salad as I wasn't quite hungry enough for something bigger. We were both really pleased. The beer selection is quite impressive, with a lot of local brews from all over Michigan. If nothing on tap sounds good, the bottle list is even longer. I was on the fence between 4 and 5 stars. Located in a large outdoor entertainment complex, around it are bars, movies, trampoline place... The best way to describe it is a mashup of the Hopcat and World of Beer concepts, right down to the floor to ceiling beer coolers on display. Beer menus are on clipboards, and they use the Hopcat method of stamping beers that are out and marking the ones just put on off their next up section. Great beer selection. I has the personal pizza, which was also good. The staff was fast and friendly. I had a chance to talk to their beer director. He said he was initially unsure about the dual emphasis on taps along with can and bottles, but the demand for packaged beer has been so strong they can't keep up with sorting the cans/bottles for returns. It's the day after Xmas. Every restaurant in Novi was REALLY busy and sadly short handed. One restaurant told us that all their waitstaff called in tonight! We ended up at Beerhead. They kindly took our large party of 12 people. The waiter was honest about the pizza being sold out and advised us of a long wait. We mainly just wanted to drink and hang out. They took care of us. The three employees working the floor worked their butts off tonight to support the restaurant. The Buffalo wings and pretzel were great and the drink menu was insane with all the choices. I thought the food was slightly overpriced, but it was very delicious! It's a great hangout place and has great ambiance. The beer selection is outrageous at this place. It's over 450 beers, the beer catalog is over 18 pages. Quite impressive. Had several Stouts while I was here with a large group of co-workers. For food we ended up with a bunch of pizzas and they too were really really tasty. Good amount of toppings and the crust was done well. I came here for food and drinks last night with a few friends last night. I had heard this place had opened a while back and was really looking forward to trying it. This definitely isn't the kind of place you find in Novi. This place, along with the microbrewery about a mile down the road are about the only options. The beer selection is phenomenal. Tons of beers on tap, and tons more bottle options. The set-up reminded me a lot of World of Beer, but with a better atmosphere and vibe. Cool decor, and live music really added to it. I had the buffalo chicken wrap, which was very good. Nothing mind-blowing, but exactly what I expected. My friends enjoyed their food too. The one thing that was a bit frustrating was the service. It was slow at times and it was difficult to track the server down. That being said the servers were very nice and seemed to be trying hard (perhaps they were understaffed for the day). As with any new business, it takes time to work out the kinks...sometimes more than a few months. Overall, the experience was great and I will definitely return. read more

Went here after we visited the movies to see Spider-Man, was super convenient for being right next door. Never been so we figured we would try. I got the Barbarian Pretzel which was huge I had a group of 4 and it was plenty to go around, beer cheese was amazing and I think a Garlic Aioli which was a must have as well with it. I ended up getting the BLT and that was as gourmet as you would expect they had different types but I got the normal sandwich and Sweet Corn Pasta Salad which was delicious. Visited here for the first time on a Saturday night with a group of 4. We were all impressed with the beer list. Waitress said they have 50 beers on tap daily and over 365 beer choices overall. Unfortunately, my husband didn't like any of the four beers from his flight but finally found a bottled German beer that was good. I would have given this place a higher rating but the food needs improvement. I ordered the turkey club and it was very bland (I did take off the garlic sauce since I am allergic) but even with mustard it was lacking flavor. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich and it was pathetic. You couldn't even see the meat in the sandwich it looked like a panini. We expected a sandwiches piled high with meats and cheese. It was gone in a matter of bites since it was so small of a portion. The only thing that the table split that was good was the pizza. It had a good flavor and would be something we would order again. The bill was about $150 for three sandwiches, a pizza, and 4 beers, a flight, and 2 cocktails. Also, as others have mentioned, the service definitely needs improving. A different server brought our food and we didn't have any utensils or napkins until halfway through our meal. The waitress seemed overly busy helping many tables all over. *Updated to reflect that we ordered a brisket sandwich instead of pork. My wife and I went to the soft open and had a great time. The people on staff were very helpful with the beer selection and menu. The Layout is nicely done with plenty of bar seating. This type of place was much needed in the Novi area. Beerhead is convient for movies since it is right next to Emagine theater. For the beer guy you have 100's beers to choose from draft or by bottle. There is a beer expert on staff to assist if requested. The drink and wine selection is good also. Stopped in here after going axe throwing and I am very glad we did! I can honestly say they serve the best soft pretzel I have ever eaten. Beerhead is a great addition to Novi Fountain Walk. They are a craft beer restaurant chain, similar to Bailey's or Hopcat, with over 50 craft beers on tap. Lots of local Michigan craft brews are available on tap from Witch's Hat, Dark Horse, New Holland, Perrin, Brewery Vivant, Ellison and more. They also have bottled beers and ciders as well as hard liquor and a cocktail list with items like Moscow Mule, Sangria, Margarita and more . They can make a Black and Tan, and have other mixed beers on the menu like a Chocolate Covered Banana which is Well's Banana beer layered with a chocolate ale. They also can make a Chocolate covered raspberry which is Framboise layered with a chocolate ale. Beerhead has a large menu with several varieties of pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more. I've heard their pizzas are excellent. They are know for their Barbarian pretzel, a giant pretzel, bigger than your head, meant to serve four people. We came early as part of a friend's brewery birthday crawl, so I ordered from their brunch menu. Brunch is available only in Saturday's and Sundays until 2:00 pm. I had the French toast served with bourbon bacon and it was very good. They also have mimosas and Bloody Marys during brunch and mimosa refills are only $3 after the first one. A friend ordered the pork belly mac and cheese and she really liked it. Beers can be ordered by the pint or you can creat your own flight with as many taster glasses as you like and they are charged individually. I had Batch's Jolly as F*ck and Pigeon Hill's Salted Caramel Porter both in taster sizes and they were both very good. You can also purchase growlers and howlers. They have a small merch section with t-shirts and hoodies that say I Heart Beer. Beerhead also hosts events like Sporcle trivia on Tuesday nights. Tuesdays they have BOGO 1/2 off flights, Thursdays $6 cheese pizzas, Sundays $3 Detroit beers and more deals throughout the week. They have Happy Hour Monday-Friday 4-7 and 10 pm -close with half off drafts, wine and half off pizzas, totchos, bourbon meatballs, and queso. Service was great, friendly, attentive and fast. Everything was brought quickly and water glasses were always full. Really enjoyed the beer and food here and can't wait to return. read more

We only came here for drinks so I can only review the beer selection and service. A few of us stopped in here after a movie at Emagine on a Saturday night and were surprised by how empty it was. We each ordered a beer and our waitress brought them very quickly. After that she came by maybe two more times until we got our check. At one point we thought the place was closing because she was cleaning around us. As you can guess by the name they have an insane amount of beer available, both bottles and on tap. More than half of their menu is beer! They also had a cocktail menu, so if you aren't a beer fan you can still get a drink. The food all looked and smelled good from the tables around us that were eating. In my opinion, if you like beer and are looking for a nice place to hang out in fountain walk, this is the place for you! read more

Wow! This place is ADORABLE! We came here for drinks after dinner and totally wished we would have eaten here. The food smelled incredible and they had great indoor and outdoor seating options. Outdoor is perfect for a summer evening. This was also a perfect date night stop! In terms of the bar situation, you will not be disappointed! They have a beer BOOK...that's right book. Their selection is endless, there is definitely something for everyone. We enjoyed a variety of our favorite German beers that are pretty hard to find at your average restaurant. Our bar tender was amazing, friendly and more then accommodating ( I wish I had gotten her name, she was awesome). For that alone we will be back. My family chose this place. Saturday on Memorial weekend at 6:30pm. They thought it would be busy bit it wasn't. Our table of 5 shared the Barbarian Pretzel. What can I say, it was a big fresh pretzel. Service was good. I didn't have time to check reviews before, but my waitress was very helpful in honest feedback she got from other customers on one of the items I was considering, brisket. I would not have been happy with it being fatty so I chose the Maui Pizza. So amazing. Not much pineapple, but all the flavors worked well together and the crust was perfect. Not a big wine selection for my aunt but she understood thats not their specialty. The Chicagoland pizza was surprisingly very good too. Decent selection of spirit's, but nothing that I felt I had to try that day...except the adult Root Beer Float. It had good amounts of ice cream,, rootbeer and vodka. My expectations were pretty high going into this place. I expected a taproom with a great selection on tap and some bottles. Not quite the case. Very bland selection on draft and a ton in bottles. However having a bunch of beers in bottles does not impress many people. You can buy bottles anywhere these days. Anyways, the selection on draft is comparable to Bar Louie (which is right next door and cheaper and better food) and I was expecting a 7 Monks or 1 Under type selection. 1 barrel aged beer on draft (CBS at $12.50 a snifter ‍) and many average beers. Nothing really special or rare. Bottom line is I might go back here if the draft lineup stepped it up. In an age where craft beer is very competitive, having some rare and hard to find beer draws in the true "beerheads". Throwing up some beers I can grab at my local grocery store just screams average. Also, you might want to have some late night happy hour specials when you neighbors have specials and a similar line up. The way restaurants come and go in Fountain Walk standing out and being above the rest is a must. read more

This location just opened so there's a lot for them to work out yet, but their working on it! I had dinner here and came at the right time, cause it got packed about 30 minutes after us, around 6 or so. There is no good place to really wait for a table and there seems to be no bussers getting dirty tables, so turn around can be longer than you'd want. However the location is perfect, right outside Emagine Theatre which will just push moviegoers to stop in before and or after for a bite or a pint. It's, of course, modern in design; concrete, wood, metal. Basically the same design as all brew houses that have opened in the past decade. There's a great bar there, and a secondary long bar in front of it for more belly- up seating. Seating is varied, long high tops, four person high tops and some regular tables. I'm looking forward to their outdoor patio and garage door openings; it'll be a hot spot come spring and Summer. They were still working on what looks like an outdoor fire pit. Food offerings are kind of limited. Only gonna choose from pizza, apps, and sandwiches really. Anything else is reserved for lunch or brunch and weren't available for dinner. I had the Cajun rub wings, which were supposed to be smoked but really weren't. Very tender and fell off the bone though. Rub was good and I tried their bourbon sauce which was like a syrup. It's decent enough. Also had their Goodfella pizza, which has sausage, bacon, pepperone; it came out pretty well done but didn't kill the taste. Decent pie there. Also tried their potato soup which came out cold. Wasn't impressed. A lot of people were ordering their 4 person pretzel, which just looked like a butter drenched roll of bread. Probably soak up any beer you order. Drink options are aplenty. Tons of beer, wine, pop, ciders, etc. their draft list wasn't impressive but stable. Found a great beer from Keewenah brewing, Red Jacket Amber, that I really liked. Service, as I said, was spotty, slow, sometimes forgetful, but pleasant. You could tell it was a bit chaotic. Lots of near miss hits and unsure servings. Food going back when they didn't know where to send it; missed drink orders and their host was cleaning tables and delivering drinks too. I'm sure they'll work it out but it seemed hectic. I'll definitely be back for some beers and food for sure as I joined their beer club, which is sweet. $10 and they comp one beer, hook you up with a koozie, and a gift card for next time. It pays for itself! Now this is a franchise so it's not an independent spot. You'll find them around the Midwest. The wait was only a few minutes I could've sat at the bar but the social distancing was about 2 inches between parties. The waitress is short and snappy. I didn't mind that because everyone has their days. The food menu is limited but the beer menu is extensive and that's where they get two stars. I ordered "buffalo chicken sliders" which come with a buffalo sauce on the side that taste like spicy vinegar BBQ and it's brown. I opted for bbq instead. The chicken is Tyson chicken nuggets quality with a sweet pickle. The French fries appear oven baked and uncooked but also burnt in some areas. The food that I ordered reminded me of school lunch. The beer was great. Loved the decor and the way the bar was set up. Please add more selections for vegetarians/vegan. I asked the bartender about vegetarian items and he said they had salad and pizza (they had a couple other options too). It's 2019 this place needs to understand there are a lot of people who eat plant based. We want a choice. I don't want a salad when I eat out or a lazy black bean/veggie burger. Luckily, there are a bunch of places serving awesome vegetarian/vegan options in metro Detroit. read more
