My husband was on the fence on spending extra money to see our baby as I guess technically it's a luxury and we like to save where we can especially with baby due to arrive in June . But my husband and I both loved it so much we booked 4 more visits after the first. The people here are so friendly and they walk you through what you are seeing . Please come here too because some places charge for a lot less in terms of how much time you can see your baby. I know one place was charging $50 and you can only see your baby for 5 minutes maybe 10 and that is just way short . You get 20 minutes minimum and you see a lot (depending on if you have good clear fluids and your baby doesn't hide or have a cord right in front of them hahah ) 10 out of 10 recommendation read more

Not only is the facility nice and clean with a comfy bed and big seating area for you to bring multiple family and friends if you want but they offer free reshoots if your baby isn't cooperating the day you come on! My little girl hid her face the first time then her umbilical cord was distorting the camera so they had me come back. The second time she was stubborn and wouldn't pull her hands from her face at all. So they had me come in again and bam she took her ands down and I got so many wonderful pictures! They gave me the recordings and pictures for every session and they use a wonderful and easy app for you to access your pictures and easily print or send them to others! My final time they printed out the most clear and beautiful pictures of her. If you are wondering if it is worth it I can tell you it totally is. All the staff are so sweet and accommodating! The first time I went in I was waiting for over an hour in the waiting room without being greeted by anyone. I ended up leaving to my car and then convincing myself to go back up. I was finally greeted and brought back to the theater room. Sadly that day I had gotten my glucose test done so my baby had a sugar crash and refused to show his face so I had to reschedule. I went back 2 weeks later and I was helped quickly. I was taken back immediately and we got started. The overall experience was lovely. I do wish that they had played music like the first time, since it helps my baby move, and also the lady who helped us out wasn't wearing a mask. I bought the $130 pack which I think is called "Fall in Love" and it comes with a video and heartbeat stuffed animal. When leaving I did receive my usb with the digital pictures and video but since they were out of elephants, they told us we could come by and pick it up at another time. I was moving at the end of the week so she let me know they get a shipment either that Friday or the next week. She took down my information and told me she would call when they were available. It has been a week and a half and I have not gotten called yet which is why I'm giving 3 stars. Also, the reason for the stars is the first time I was there I overheard the lady telling the couple before me that their video was going to be seen in parts because she would stop and record several times. I expected the same but sadly I got a 40 second video of my baby in the same position which defeats the point of the video. I was sad I didn't get pictures or a video of a cute moment where my baby was making a crying face. I expected more of the video for the price I paid. With both the video and stuffed animal not being provided well, I almost want to ask for a partial refund but I doubt I'd even get it. UPDATE: The owner did reach out to me about the issue. She was able to give me a half refund and she sent out my heartbeat stuffed animal to me. She does seem to care very much about the customer's experience and she did even say they take customer service very seriously. I just didn't appreciate the way she asked my about my experience. She made me feel a bit uncomfortable when asking the questions like why I didn't ask the staff to turn on the music or why I put in my review that I didn't think I'd get a partial refund when I didn't ask for one. I explained I was uncomfortable asking because the music might not be working that day and I could come off as rude and she went on to say she would have asked for it as well as asked for a refund when seeing how long the video was, which is apparently supposed to be as long as the whole appointment. I felt almost blamed for how the appointment went while she was asking her questions and I understand she's trying to avoid bad reviews but I felt like I was under interrogation. Overall, I do appreciate her reaching out to me, giving me half a refund and the heartbeat animal, which is why I'm raising my review to 4 starts, but I do feel like they need to keep in mind that the customer doesn't know what the service is like so it's their job to make sure they're giving you 100% of what the service includes without the customer having to ask for them. read more

TLDR: the ultrasound techs know exactly what they are looking at and know how to put nervous client's worries to bed! We went for a very early ultrasound because the OB scared us by telling us our GS measured small... we had experienced a loss before and were worried so we headed out to see what the experts at Before the Stork could see... We found out the GS was measuring just barely behind my LMP date and everything they showed us was all good signs! We have an appointment this Saturday for a Sneak Peek blood test for gender and they offered an additional scan at that time to try to see the heartbeat! I accompanied my granddaughter for her ultra sound. We were both so excited. We were greeted upon entering the store with a big smile and a welcome. It was a short wait, time for us to get more and more excited. We were ushered into the ultra sound room. Soft lighting, nice ambiance. The technician was patiently trying to get an image of the baby and even gave a few tips to try to get the baby to move. She did the best she could. This was our 2nd time going to Before the Stork as we had a great experience the first time. In 2020, they guaranteed a full frontal picture from the ultrasound and our sweet baby boy did not want to show his face so much, that they allowed us to actually go back 2 additional times until we were able to get a good picture. It was so incredibly kind and wonderful customer service. This past Sunday (May 7th), we went for another ultrasound to see our little girl. Our appointment was at 4pm and we weren't seen until closer to 4:30. I understand the previous appointment could have been late or just running late in general, but there was no acknowledgement whatsoever. As it states on their website, there is no limit to the amount of people to come and see the baby, we did have 4 toddlers with us as well. The first thing the employee said was "wow, there's a lot of you." It was very off putting. We continued to wait as the people prior still weren't finished with having to pay, etc. and only the only employee (who I think may have been the owner) was there. We finally go in the room and get started. As I stated, we did have 4 toddlers with us so it was a bit noisier than I'm sure they are used to but they also don't have any "rule" on the age of people coming to watch. It was all close family that we wanted to be there. I felt the employee was put off in a sense and I did feel a little bit rushed trying to get some pictures. I didn't feel that we got great pictures as our baby was moving around a lot. The employee asked me what I had to drink/eat and I said that I had Gatorade as it states in their directions. She said, "oh ok, ya I think I have to take that off because she is moving so much." I felt that I am listening to their suggestions but yet it was my fault she was moving too much.... very frustrating. Nothing was stated about coming back to try to get better photos either. So I'm not sure if they discontinued that service, which if they did- they really should honor it as it is no ones fault whether the baby is cooperating or not and we paid for the highest service which I feel should be accommodated for that price. As we were finishing and I got up, I realized she never got the heartbeat from the baby to put in the stuffed animal. I asked her about it and so she had me lay down to get it. By this time, the majority of our family had left the room as they thought we were finished (because she said we were before I reminded her about it). It took a good amount of time to get the heartbeat which I felt the employee was getting frustrated but again, not my fault nor did I feel that was the energy necessary to be feeling in that moment. We finally got it, paid and were on our way. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience but MUCH different than the first time and it saddens me to explain and write all this but I want to be honest and that it didn't leave a good impression. I also want to add that she said we would receive our pictures via email as everything is digital now. We have not received them as of today, Thursday, May 11th. She was patient, welcoming, loving and caring. With covid precautions still in place my husband has not be allowed at any dr appointments. That being said, we scheduled an ultrasound at 22w6days so my husband could see the baby. We had previously had an ultrasound here when I was about 14 weeks and our second appointment blew the first one out of the water! I really can not say anything bad about the first appointment, but then seeing Tanya a couple days ago showed us how well she knows her stuff! We got great photos and videos of our little one. On top of that, she explained so much of what she was seeing and usually saw it quick. She explained exactly what we were looking at in terms of my body, how much fluid was there (basically there is plenty of room for baby to move) and it eased my mind of so much anxiety I didn't even know I was feeling. The images were surprisingly clearer than I thought and we even got to see some baby facial expressions (a little grumpy face). We knew we wanted to come back when we are farther along so we did buy a double package and Tanya was great in helping us choose which would be best and then advising when the perfect times would be to come back and see even more. If I could give this Tanya & Before the Stork more than 5 stars I would. They earned my business at my first appointment but then made it that much better on the second and I can't wait for the 3rd! read more
