I ordered the dan dan noodles with pork chive dumplings combo and it was delicious! The dumplings were so juicy and flavorful. Service was also quick. There's a good amount of seating in the back, but not spacious and fills up quickly during lunch time. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu in the future!
Cuisine: 7 Service: 6 Decor: 4 Value: 9 Overall: 7 Maybe one of the most popular options for food across from the courthouses for jurors during their lunch break. I was one of them when I first visited this restaurant about a decade ago and did so during my recent session again. Though they may be one of the best options for traditional Chinese food in the area, comparing them to restaurants in Flushing would land them on the lower end of the spectrum. With that said, they do certain things relatively well, namely the dumplings. I prefer their pan fried dumplings over the boiled because of the skin texture. For some reason, the boiled ones felt a bit tough and chewy, while the pan fried dumplings were better, especially since it has a crispy crust on the bottom. Fillings I have tried are chive & pork, as well as cabbage & pork. Both were quite good and stuffed to the brim. I also do like their wontons with spicy sauce, which has a shrimp & pork filling. Also plump and juicy, these wontons are quite delicious. The sauce is not really all that spicy, but flavorful. As for other items I have tried, most were not bad but below average. That includes the Dan Dan Mein, Beijing Style Noodles, and the Sesame Pancake with Beef. One thing I would recommend to skip would be the Hot & Sour Soup, which was neither hot or sour. If you are in the neighborhood and craving some dumplings or wontons, then seek out this little shop. However, if you want any other types of Chinese food, I would advise you to skip.
This is a neighborhood staple for me. The dumplings here will keep you coming back. The dumplings here are great! I believe the prices are reasonable, and you get a good portion. The dumplings are packed with fillings--whether shrimp, pork, or vegetable. I usually do takeout, and the service is fast. I once bought a frozen catering portion from here, and it was easy to make at home. Come once and I can reassure you that you will be back.
I was seriously craving dumplings but didn't feel like trekking all the way to Long Island City, so finding Beijing Dumpling House right in Jamaica (and literally steps from the subway) felt like fate. After a quick walk, I stumbled in and was helped right away. I ordered the variety dumplings, which came with 2 veggie, 2 chicken, and 2 pork, and they were way bigger than I expected! Each one was perfectly steamed and full of flavor. I added the spicy garlic sauce on top (highly recommend), it gave everything that perfect little kick without overpowering the dumplings. I also got a veggie pancake, and wow. The bread was soft and lightly toasted, the vegetables were crisp and fresh, and the portion was huge. I ended up having leftovers for two and a half days, and they somehow tasted even better after a quick reheat in the air fryer. They've got a solid Boba selection too, I grabbed one to go, and it was the perfect sweet finish. I loved that you can actually watch them cook your food right after you order. Plus, they sell frozen dumplings with instructions to make them at home, which I'll definitely be picking up next time. 10/10 in my opinion: fresh, flavorful, generous portions, and super convenient. A total hidden gem for dumpling lovers in Queens!
Beijing Dumpling House was in my Yelp bookmarked for a long time. I finally had the opportunity to check-in patronizing this business and removal from my Yelp bookmark. In the passage of my professional travels of Queens County Clerk's Office lunch was imminent. I like the many food offerings listed on their menu. I would surely return for their dumpling noodle soup. There is bubble tea available, but limited toppings. Chinese cuisine is my default choice of food biased on my ethnic cultural background. Chopsticks are available at the cashier counter. Seating is abundant in the rear. There is one unisex facility available on the premise that is relatively clean. I can imagine this cafe can be very hustling busy during lunch peak hours drawing business adjacent from the Queens Civil Court to either get married, obtaining another certified copy of marriage license (the original marriage license went to oblivion), waiting to return listening to one's name to be called for jury duty, responding to the judge in Queens Housing Court, attorneys, clerks, NYS Court employees stride for lunch break scarfing down dumplings or slurping noodle soups, and New York State Court Officers stride Sutphin Boulevard with a high functioning air of arrogance. I do not see another Chinese eatery for Beijing Dumpling House to be in competition within this vicinity. Takeout menu is available for grabs. Pork chive dumplings, $6.50 I decided steamed dumplings as my default choice of cooking. Steamed dumplings reminisce of Dum Sum which is my predilection. I highly despised fried dumplings. Condiments are located on the table. I desired traditional light or dark soy sauce vinegar, but none were available as there is only hot chili sauce. There were eight (8) pieces of average size. The dumplings did eat my fill. With utter disdain, price is exorbitant, but expected as industry standard in year 2025 inflation era with no receding. I reviewed the menu hanging above the counter which contain many food options. I am elated that the menu is the old school method of a large printed board (not stolid annoying computerized digital monitors) which I highly despise.
After a long flight and a ride on the AirTrain to Jamaica, I was craving Chinese food and found a spot near the Q44. It turned out to be exactly what I needed. Food: 5/5 The food was a pleasant surprise. The dumplings, long bao, and sesame pancake were all shockingly fresh and flavorful. Every bite was a reminder of authentic, well-made Chinese cuisine. What really amazed me was the price--our total bill came to just over $60, which is a steal for such quality outside of Flushing or Chinatown. Vibes: 5/5 The restaurant itself had the classic American Chinese takeout vibe, with an empty back seating area and a bustling kitchen where I could hear aunties chatting in Mandarin. Despite the simple setup, the service was incredibly efficient. Our food arrived in under 15 minutes, piping hot and ready to enjoy. For a meal that felt so comforting and authentic, I couldn't have asked for better timing or quality. Final Take I'd definitely come back, maybe even with a few friends, because the portions and prices make it perfect for sharing. A true hidden gem in the area.
OK... so here I am for the second time, 9 years after my first review. Somehow I got confused when I saw my old review and thought I gave them 5 stars, but it was only 3 stars. Today, I can confirm my position of 3 stars. Took my family this time, and they agree. The fried dumplings are big and fat, which I like, but somehow the material that makes up the wrap tastes and feels cheap. And even if you're eating in (to stay at one of the 6 open tables in the back of the store), they serve it in one of those little paper baskets that you'd usually be served a side of fries in. It's ok, but a plate is nice because the dumplings would all sit in soy sauce instead of some being stacked over the others. Sorry I didn't take photos of the dumplings... we were starving. But check out my photo of the inside (two tables and the decorations on a wall). There's also a photo of the warm lo mein, which the family tells me it's very, very bland. In fact, my wife spat out her first bite saying it tasted uncooked (which is, of course, impossible). We'll take it home to see if we can improve it there, but as you see the photo, this is how we finished it in the restaurant. I probably won't come back unless I'm stuck in court across the street. The Black Honey Bubble tea was good, though.
No frills Chinese place with a few tables at the back. Food is generally good, the dumplings were excellent but the sesame pancake was a bit dry. Loved their hot and sour soup, it was very thick and hearty. Their sriracha sauce is watered down a lot though. Also, they refused to give us any tap water (we had already bought some drinks), I'm pretty sure you can't do that in NY.
Beijing Dumpling House is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but don't let that deter you. You order at the counter, grab a table, and they bring the food out to you. The prices are great for the amount of food you get--we accidentally ordered way too much! Among three of us, we had three orders of dumplings, chicken lo mein, vegetable and mushroom noodles, and a soup. In hindsight, one noodle dish along with dumplings would have been plenty. Service was quick, and the food came out hot and fresh--exactly what we needed for a last-minute dinner nearby. As for the food, the shrimp and vegetable dumplings were delicious, but I'd skip the pork dumplings--they had an odd hotdog-like taste and texture. Overall, a solid spot for fast, affordable, and satisfying dumplings! Would definitely come back, just with a better game plan on how much to order.

Wow, an authentic Chinese restaurant in JAMAICA QUEENS??! Thus far, I've ordered from this place three times for take-out and each time I felt equally satisfied. I first tried their handmade dumplings (I had high expectations considering it's in their name) and they were nice and filling (4/5). As some other reviews have mentioned, the dumplings are in fact made with a thicker wrapper and going along with popular opinion, I also prefer them pan-fried over boiled. The spicy garlic sauce is pretty standard. On my second visit, we also ordered their beef noodles which was a similar concept to my favorite Taiwanese beef noodles since they used beef shank. It had great flavor and aromatics and I appreciated the beef being super tender and melt-in-your-mouth. Them loading my noodles up with beef was also a plus. What I didn't appreciate, however, is the noodles being equally as tender, soggy, and fall-apart as the beef. This dish could've easily become my third favorite go-to comfort meal but they honestly should consider putting the noodles and soup in separate containers (3.8/5). And as for the third and most recent order, I got their duck sesame pancake (I actually ordered this every time) and their dry Beijing style noodles (that's what the menu says in English but it's actually zhajiangmian 炸醬麵). My delivery driver actually spilled the sauce entirely out of the container so it ended up being DRY-dry but it was still delicious (4/5). I prefer it over the soggy soup noodles. Their sesame pancakes are amazing - tried and true (5/5). It's so good it doesn't even matter which option you choose - plain, beef, duck, chicken, etc - they all make for a wonderful and filling snack. I ordered one for my boss the other day and she has a mild sesame allergy but she doesn't even care (kinda like how I'm lactose intolerant but would never give up dairy) - she loved it. Great dumpling house a stone's throw from Supreme Court in Jamaica. Broad selection of dumplings (fried or steamed), rices, noodles and soups. A number of combos and specials as well. Everything it seems is prepared to order - my food has always been fresh. The staff is very helpful despite any language hiccups. A really good spot if you want to sit down in the back for a quick meal or grab something to go. read more

Here are my initial notes: - they bring you the food if you sit down at restaurant - man working cashier is very polite and asked if we had any questions (great english) - wait time was short!! - comment on milk tea: a bit more on the creamier side, bubbles are EXTREMELY SOFT AND SQUISHY - comment on vanilla milk tea: im not a vanilla fan, but my boyfriend is and he says bubbles are too soft and squishy, but the tea itself is pretty good - dumplings are GREAT - fried rice is on point This place is a steal - 8 dumplings and a bubble tea for 6.50 (tax not incl ofc) but where else can you get a deal like that?! The fried dumplings are crispy and their flavor is amazing. The workers are so friendly and the place is clean and air conditioned. They also cater: 50 dumplings for $26! We are definitely coming back here. read more

This is a solid Asian food if you are in the general area of Jamaica. The dumplings were well fried, the Dan Dan mien could be a bit spicier but taste good nonetheless. I got the pancake with Peking duck, the pancake could be a bit crispier but they were generous on the portion amount for duck! Overall affordable lunch place to get! read more

They make their own dumplings! I LOVE dumplings! Perfect location, right across from the Queens County Courthouse. Juror's lunch paradise. Reasonably priced, quick service, fair prices, and great food! I ordered Combo #7 Beijing noodles with 4 chive and pork dumplings. It reminded me of chicken teriyaki with Taiwanese minced pork sauce. YUMMY! It's not a huge place but they do have some seating area in the back. The staff was friendly and honestly, all the food just looked amazing. read more

I got the veggie dumplings which were pretty good ($6 for 8 dumplings). It consisted of cabbage, mushroom, carrots, etc. There were 2 sauces on the side, one spicy & one was soy sauce. The sauces were pretty good too. The soy sauce wasn't too salty. I thought the hot sauce was Sriracha at 1st but it wasn't as hot as Sriracha or as thick either. The consistency was more like soy sauce, it was runny. The service was pretty good too. read more

Simply a five star experience for me in the heart of Jamaica, Queens, where there are few good options for lunch or dinner. With some good recommendations on Yelp, and those luscious photos making me drool, while attending a training nearby, I had to ramble over here and order up a nice plate of noodles and dumplings. Great combo. They serve up very flavorful food for those like myself who like great taste and great textures in our food. And while I don't go for too much spice (as most of you already know) I found myself adding a little of their srirachi sauce on the table to add a little extra heat. And that only improved every bite. Prices are great, nice combinations offered, and the people cooking and serving couldn't be nicer. What a home run! read more
Recommended by family, this place has some of the most delicious handmade and steamed dumplings in Queens and even maybe the City. So come to Jamaica, Queens. If you like fresh, home made dumplings that are made with so much love and care by the cooks behind the counter, then this is your place. The ladies behind the counter are super friendly and extremely nice. That alone, would make you want to come back for more. They just treat you like guests in their house. read more

I bookmarked this spot yesterday because I had to report for jury duty today. Literally less than 2 mins walk from the courthouse. Lots of seating at the back of the house. I ordered the boiled Pork and Chives dumplings which takes about 10 mins before the staff member brings over your food. Also I got a Seasame Sandwich with Beef...why oh why two things I hate the most (carrots and cilantro). I am eating layer by layer as it OD carrots and cilantro shoot man. The beef is not sliced but bits of pieces of it #bummer! Mmmmm the dumplings has a lot of the pork and chives fillings and the dumpling wrapper is thin and yummy with every bite. Next time I am just going to get dumplings or noodles as I am stuffed like a roasted pig with an apple in my mouth lol read more

Their noodle and dumplings dish is pretty good. The only thing I dislike is their sesame pancakes. I ordered sesame pancake with duck. The bread is so thick and there weren't many duck in there. I'm pretty disappointed. If you like this type of dish, you can try Beijing Dumpling on Queens Blvd, they are pretty good as well. Their sesame pancake is way better read more

This bright, clean dumpling shop caught my attention en route to jury duty. After walking another block and cringing over other options, I decided to give my palate and stomach some time here. The lunch hour is quite busy since most diners share the one lunch hour the court allows. Order taking is pretty fast, but the food wait could be up to 10 min. There are tables in the back where you can wait until they call your number- then you go pick up your order. I ordered the noodle soup with shrimp dumplings. It comes with four dumplings, a few pieces of bok choy and tons of noodles for $6. The dumplings were small and thick skinned. Bleh. The noodles were bland and a tad overcooked. But they have Sriracha sauce and soy sauce on every table- Sriracha can fix almost anything, so I reach for my happy sauce and SQUIRT- a watery stream splashes out and briefly paints my white noodles before dissolving into the soup. That is NOT Sriracha in the Sriracha bottles. While the space is clean and customer service is lovely, my lunch was disappointing. Order something else. read more

What a satisfying meal. Came here with the beau on a rainy Saturday afternoon. There was no line but I noticed a few people seated at the tables in the back, nommin' away. It's not a big place. When you enter, walk straight and order by the register and the tables are further in the back if you don't want to do takeout. The lady who took our order was pleasant and so friendly. I think it took about 10min until she served us our order, which consisted of the handmade chive and pork dumplings ($2), boiled wontons with spicy sauce ($6) and a bowl of beef noodle soup ($6.50). - Chive & Pork Dumplings ($2): You're literally paying two bucks for 4 pieces of fat, plump dumplings. You can take this as an appetizer and share with someone in addition to your main meal. The skin has the right amount of thickness and crispiness in addition to the moist, juicy inside. Just drench it with the soy sauce that they have on each table and pop'em in your mouth. - Boiled Wontons with Spicy Sauce ($6): Comes with 8 boiled dumplings with fillings that consist of shrimp, pork and vegetables. They're generous with the chili sauce, green onions and cilantro that are sprinkled on the top. My mouth is literally watering right now just thinking about it. There's so much flavor and texture packed in there, I'm definitely ordering this one again next time. - Beef Noodle Soup ($6.50): Perfect for a rainy day, or any day actually. The beef falls right off and melts in your mouth. It also has green onions and bok choy to balance out all the beefiness, I suppose. The soup wasn't overly greasy or salty, just the way I like it and like the dumplings/wontons we ordered, there was a generous amount of noodles. So filling, so good. Overall, everything was quick, easy and delicious. They are so generous with the fillings/portions. We thought about getting a sesame pancake after we ordered and sat down but realized there was no more room in our stomachs to fit another dish after the meal. There are also two sauces, spicy sauce and soy sauce on the table filled in Sriracha bottles so feel free to use'em depending on your preferences. Also, the seating area isn't spacious. You can fit 4 people on each table and I think there is about 7-8 tables in total. You may/may not see workers filling up mini plastic containers with sauces on some tables for delivery orders but I'm assuming they wouldn't be doing this out in the open during their peak times when it gets hella busy. Anyways, love the food and service. A smile really does make all the difference, especially on a rainy, gray day but pair that with a great meal and you won't be able to help yourself but give five stars. Been meaning to stop by here and grab some food before the train. Glad to be able to have this twice before reviewing so here we go Service is excellent, sweet little ladies that check up on you and provide the goods quickly. It takes ten minutes for the dumplings but that time passes pretty quickly. Both times our meals were all presented around 10 minutes. Price is cheap, we opted for the shrimp dumplings. The noodle soup is amazing and comes with 4 dumplings compared to the 8 that comes from ordering just the dumplings. I prefer it in the soup so I can poke holes in them so they can fill themselves with broth before getting devoured loool. It's a preference thing but I opted for boiled but the pan fried were great as well. The dumplings are where they shine so get them. There are seats, about 6 tables with 4 seats if I recall. Usually empty. Takeout seems to be big here as it's pretty consistent when my buddies and myself sat to eat here. The food is plentiful and like all soup bases, will leave you full. They also have these pancakes which weren't too bad but once I dipped them on the broth (it's not that the broth is amazing it just tastes better wet like all great things), they were great. They also offer bubble tea. Cheap at $2.50, only has one size and offer mango jelly / tapioca. For $10 I got a shrimp noodle soup and a vegetable pancake sandwich thing. Felt like too much food. Next time will go just for the noodle soup. I'd say it's a good deal and it's a quick cheap eat right by the LIRR / Airtrain. Bathroom has a key so ask for that. Yes you can throw away the bowl. A homely place in the middle of the town turns out to be a Diamond in the rough. I came here after visiting a friend and needing a quick, inexpensive dinner after some heavy lifting and helping someone move out. We were in the mood for some dumplings and ended up here to fill up our starving bellies. The place is really accessible, the staff all speak English at least well enough to understand all the questions and restrictions you might have. My favorite part was the $5 dollar deals to get a plate of dumplings and bubble tea. We ended up ordering a bunch of dishes -Dan Dan Noodles -Steamed Soup Dumplings -Fried Dumplings -Pork Noodle Soup My favorite out of all of them was the soup dumplings. Now don't be fool, it's not Xiao Long bao where the soup is inside the dumplings. Yet, after taking a bite inside, the juiciness and seasoning of the meat inside the dumpling is perfect. I have been very leery of trying dumplings out in Queens. But luckily I found Beijing Dumpling House. They have a spicy wontons in chili oil such that is the best I have ever had. You can add garlic and extra spice to give it that"pow". On Yelp that haven't received the best reviews and honestly I do not understand why. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is literally the best I have ever had with the spicy wontons. Drop in and give them a try. It's like that old saying "don't judge a book by its cover". read more

Damn the food here is legit!!! Food is so damn good! Inexpensive and hot, fresh, and filling! The noodles are on point as are all the dumplings they make. Delivery is fast and the food arrives fresh and amazing! I can't rave enough about this place! Can't wait to order again. read more

Food is delicious. Dumplings are great, everything there is actually great and service is relatively fast. If you're going during the busy lunch rush, you can call ahead. A big plus is their well-priced bubble tea. read more
