(1) OVERVIEW:
BEIJIN DUMPLING HOUSE is a Chinese restaurant, which is specialized in serving the four popular set menus. They are consists of the house-made dumplings (Chicken, Pork, Shrimp, and Vegetable), fried rice/lo mein, and bok choy. These awesome four dishes should be the reasons why you should dine here, in my opinion, although they also serve other dishes and cold drinks. It is conveniently located by the very busy shopping area of the Jamaica Avenue by the Jamaica Center Parsons/archer subway station (thelast station of E, J, Z lines) in Queens, New York.
(2) FOODS:
BEIJIN DUMPLING HOUSE serves four popular and very nice set dishes as I have stated above. They are (1) Chicken Fried Rice with choices of 4 Pan-fried Dumplings, (2) Dan Dan mein (Noodles with SPICY Beef sauce with choices of 4 Dumplings. (3) Chicken Lo Mein with choices of 4 Dumplings, (4) Beijin Noodles (Pork Sauce) with choices of 4 Dumplings. I recommend you eating one of these first before you ordering any other dishes here. Their volume is generous, flavor is quite rich, and the prices (based on which Stir-fried dumplings you have) are simply awesome.
Today, I had the Chicken Fried Rice with 4 Pan-fried Pork Dumplings and Bok Choy. At the front, you can clearly see how the master chef cooks your dish from the beginning to the end. First, the chef cook the dumplings (that was hand-made earlier here) in the boiling hot water unit in the far right. Then, while they are cooking, he makes the fried rice by stir frying the mixture of the ingredients in the giant wok, located the 3rd from the right. Then, he pull out the dumplings from the hot water and let it sit momentary, and then, he stir fries them in the first giant work from the right. He puts the finished stir-fried dumplings on the dish, then VERY carefully adds the completed fried rice on the dish. Finally the bok choy is added to the dish to be served to you at the register, where you pay for it. (Cash Only).
I love watching how my dish is made by the chef(s) always. It is far more entertaining. It really reveals the skills, maturity as well as how deeply the chef care about each dish, he make for me. Making the combination fried rice "correctly and even beyond perfectly" requires a high skills and maturity of the chef, because the time and method of cooking each ingredient at optimum condition is different.
NOTE: COMPARISON OF THE FRIED RICE DISHES: Read my insightful story of how the Michelin Awarded magnificent chef at the Café China (Midtown East, Manhattan, NY) made his truly magnificent Fried Rice with the Shredded Roast Duck dish for me. Also read how disgustingly mountain of fried rice was made without any considerations for their losing flavors just before the closing time at the Panda Express (Downtown, Brooklyn, NY).
The Chicken Fried Rice with Pork Dumpling and Bok Choy served here was excellent. The Pork Dumpling was juicy and full of rich flavors. The Chicken Fried Rice was also good with generous amount of nice size chicken. (COMPARE these nice chicken pieces to the extremely tiny chopped up and thoughtlessly mixed up other ingredients, that resulted the tasteless Mixed Fried Rice, which was so shamelessly served at the Hop Lee of the Mott Street of Chinatown, Manhattan.)
I do not drink any soft drinks, juice, or any mixed sweetened beverages during my meal, usually. Nevertheless, they have a wide range of soft drinks, including the Bubble Tea ($2.50), Smoothies ($3.00), and Bubble Tea Special ($6.00 - $8.75). (NOTE: In the attached photographs of my table, what you see is my nice small drinking glass with the black tea, which I always carry around in a bottle in my jacket's pocket. I also carry around my own eating utensils.)
(3) INTERIOR:
The seating area of BEIJIN DUMPLING HOUSE is unimaginably and just plain box with the clean white small tables and chairs. It looks like an employees' break room, which just finished remodeling. Nothing more and nothing less. It appears this establishment's focus is the take out orders.
They have one clean, light, and well-ventilated mix bathroom, which is also wheel chair accessible. Please ask the bathroom key to use the facility. (This is a very wise method for preventing any possible crimes to take place in the bathroom in this area.)
(4) SERVICES:
Very friendly staffs, who speak good English to communicate, here.
(5) VALUE:
For the mare $5.99 (including tax) for this much volume and very nicxe flavors, I must say in the loud voice that the Chicken Fried Rice with Pork Dumplings here is an awesome deal.
FINAL NOTE:
BEIJIN DUMPLING HOUSE also sells Frozen Dumplings. $9 - $12 for 30 pieces. $1 for extra sauce. The cooking instruction of these is also kindly printed on the full color take out menu. This really shows how much they care about you and their dumplings. AWESOME!
