Decadent donuts and now they also sell a chicken sandwich which seems out of place. I didn't get the chicken but I did get a chocolate glazed donut. It was really good eventhough it was not fresh cooked. I stopped in after dinner on my way back to my hotel for a little dessert and Ii was thinking that it would have been a better choice to go in the morning when everything was fresher. Service was average and there was noone else dining in or doing take our at the time I was there. There is no parking for this place except in a public parking lot. There was nothing special about this place for donuts but I think they offered some interesting flavors and they have some good beverage choices to go with the donuts.

Nice clean location, pretty crowded when I went on a weekend morning, but the food, donuts and coffee were well worth the wait.

Big fan of anything Mike Solomonov touches, so I had to check this spot out. The service was great and the food was solid. Our favorites were the Early Bird breakfast sandwich and the za'atar hash brown, both were delicious. The coffee was great too, and the donuts hit the spot. Not my favorite in the Solomonov lineup, but still a strong choice for a quick breakfast or lunch.

While walking around town we passed Federal Donuts, se we had to pop in to give it a try. Since it was late in the day the selection was limited. But still very good.

    Strawberry cake donut, phenomenal.

Delicious cake donuts inside the Canopy Hotel, really enjoyed these both mornings of our stay. One morning we got a cup of donut holes, and the other morning we ordered a chocolate and a strawberry donut, all fantastic and fresh. The strawberry one was unbelievable and tasted like fresh berries. We also had hot teas both days. Despite how many customers were there, service was fast.

We came to Philly for a day and had these on the list to try . The location is conveniently located, food was so good we ended up going to another location a few days later before returning to miami. I gave 3 stars because from the moment we walked in the girl at the counter was not pleasant at all. my husband and I love trying new restaurants & we enjoy engaging with the staff, I'm NOT saying it has to be superb service , but you can tell she either didnt want to be there or has a bad attitude all around which tainted the experience given were from out of town & purposely went there excited to try them.. When we got up to leave we thanked her again and tried telling her how much we loved the food, but she was sitting down on her phone pretty much ignoring us . Loved the food so much we wanted to grab a box before heading back to miami but we went to another location , check out my page for that review .

The donuts was so fresh, so good, I wasnt expecting the greatness, Service was good employees was very nice, the place could use a lil cleaning and tend to but other than that it was amazing.

It has been a few times that this store is not open on time. Very disappointing. Management needs to be aware of this issue

Friendly, convenient, and freshly made donuts next to the Roost East Market easily satsified our breakfast craving after a cross country flight to Philadelphia. The old fashioned donuts are made to order and piping hot in the box with a variety of coffee offerings.

Great service. Amazing sliders, donuts are phenomenal and the whole place just has a great vibe.

Federal Donuts is a Philly fast food chain serving donuts, coffee, and fried chicken. It is conveniently located next to the lobby of the hotel I was staying at- Canopy. It worked out perfectly because we planned to get an early start on one of the days and this place opens at 7am. When we came down in the morning around 7:10, they were not open though. I saw a few people sitting outside waiting. One of the workers signaled that they'll open soon. I think one of them was late. When they did open, I ordered the breakfast sandwich- steamed & fried egg patty with Cooper sharp cheese, bacon, & cherry pepper relish on a potato roll. It was not for me. The bacon was thin and I didn't enjoy the relish. I should've gotten a fried chicken sandwich like my friend instead. However, I did enjoy my strawberry lavender donut.

Wings with Za'atar seasoning comes with a donut
    Shilpa M.

Chicken and donuts - a unique spot in Philly. The chicken wings lean towards Korean wings style. Wings have a lot of meat and are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The Za'atar seasoning on it is good. The raspberry donuts were a little sour, if you like that. Fried Chicken on salad was good. The regular donut that comes with the wings was too sweet for me. On Thurs evening, it closed before dinner time 7pm, though it's in a hotel.

No tall, grande, venti and whatever! Maple Spice Latte: Tasty and quite unique. A flavor you won't normally find a commercial coffee houses. 4/5 Cinnamon Dolce Latte: Comforting especially on a cold autumn afternoon. 4/5 Service was great. There was only one barista but he was fast and efficient.

I don't think I've ever visited an an hour where I've seen it not. Often a line going from the counter, down the stairs, all the way to the bathroom. If you're looking for a quick coffee stop, don't expect to be in and out of here. That being said, they've got some kinds of seating not typical of coffee shops, including this nice long U-shaped couch seating. You'll be around with other folks reading or enjoying their joe, but it's a nice change of pace. Working-wise, wi-fi is solid. Outlets are sparse. Hard to stay a long time here. Music is at least at a tolerable level to tune out and is not usually too bumping. Staff here are quick, but won't be the friendliest. They won't be rude either. They're just trying to get through the line so don't take it personally Overall: would much prefer other places like Capital One Cafe for the reasons I visit cafes, but I can see this being a nice place for other more leisurely-natured visits!

We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.
