I purchased a new Honda Ridgeline RTL from Bell Honda in January 2013. The buying experience was 100% positive! I was an out of state buyer doing all the purchase negotiating by phone from Hawaii. I live on Kauai but the Honda dealers on all islands are very resistant to any reasonable price negotiating. The decision to purchase this vehicle from Bell Honda made financial sense. I purchased the truck through Jesse Hoffman, Fleet and Internet Manager entirely through phone conversations with him. The negotiaing process with Jesse was efficient and professional. Jesse volunteered to pick us up at the Phoenix airport upon our arrival and drive us to the dealership to take devlivery of our new truck. My personal contact with Jesse after meeting him upon our arrival reinforced my initial positve impressions of his professiionalism. Upon our arrival at the dealership we were introduced to Ray Ettenger who in a prompt, efficient and very personable manner handled the paperwork to complete the transaction. We discovered one light in the bed was not working and drove into the service department. We were greeted by Debbie, who again was very personable . We were put in contact with Ed, the Parts Manager, who himself went out to the vehicle and replaced the part. Ed went far what I would normally expect in his willingness and helpfulness to get me some accessories I wished to purchasethat were not in stock. From my experience it is obvious someone in the Bell Honda organization has done a terrific job in hiring and training the personnel and staff at this dealership. Although I often utilize review sites, I am wary that many comments are made by owners, or on the negative by disgruntled employees. Bought my car here got a decent deal I am happy with and I have used their service center ever since. I go regularly for my complementary carwashes and I recently got my oil changed there. Anthony has always taking care of me and does an exceptional job. The only time I have ever had an issue is with my tires. I kept getting nails in them and when I went there they tried to charge me $120 for a new tire. I went elsewhere and they fixed it for $10. This really made me second guess their judgement, but I haven't had any other issues. read more

While looking I was approached by a nice woman named Brenda - it was such a fun experience. She showed me a couple of cars and electric ones too. I told her I'm not sure if I even wanted Honda and then she showed me some used cars and trucks. I didn't buy anything. But I would recommend talking with Brenda if you are looking. My wife, son and myself walked I to the dealership yesterday around 4pm, it was empty so we figured it was a good time to maybe shop. We spoke with an agent by the name of Bryant who was very nice and helpful, however it seemed that the finance manager or some floor manager in the office right by the entrance had already made up his mind about me and my family as soon as we had walked in. The reason I come to this conclusion was because Bryant after asking us some preliminary questions said he would bring some vehicles around to check out but when he went back to the office, he was apparently told that we either weren't serious customers or not to waste his time on us because he came back and told us that he wouldn't be able to bring any vehicles around but that we can go out and look at some. We were with our two year old, so having to walk around with him from vehicle to vehicle wasn't ideal. After a long time looking at vehicles I was ready to sit down and talk numbers on a 2021 Odyssey, and Bryant said he will be back and he again went to the manager and he came back and said "my manager said since you aren't ready to buy today, we can't go over numbers today, once you have decided on Honda, you can come back" I said ok and gather my family and walked out, but as I was walking out I noticed the manager or whomever was in that office were just staring at us, no thank you for coming in, no how can we earn your business, nothing. To feel pre judged because of how I was dressed or how we looked or whatever is very unsettling. Just a little about us, my wife is a teacher and I am in finance, we both have graduate degrees and make enough to have bought the vehicle outright, but now we will go somewhere else with our business because of how we were treated. read more

My husband and I just had our 3r child and decided that it was time to get a bigger vehicle. We did some research and knew we wanted an Odyssey. I found an '07 with good mileage on the Bell Honda website and inquired about it. I received a phone call from Shane shortly afterward letting us know that it was still available and to come in for a test drive. When we arrived we we were greeted promptly. Shane was with another costumer and so were helped by Gary instead. He showed us the van and all it's features. He was very informative and was able to answer all the questions we had about the vehicle. After test driving the Odyssey we loved it! We discussed with Gary what we wanted our monthly payments to be, what interest rate we were aiming for, and how much we wanted for our trade. We agreed on the terms and went to finance where Brandon finished up our paperwork. In just a couple of hours we got the car we wanted, the payment we wanted, a great deal on our trade, and a better interest rate than we hoped for! Everyone we worked with was very friendly and we left feeling confident in our purchase. THE IS FOR THE SERVICE DEPT ONLY: The last time I went to a dealer for service was over 5 yrs ago at camelback where I purchased my car. Was told all fluids were fine, a few days later car over heated. No coolant. I had been avoiding a recall but last week finally took it in and also decided to get a transmission flush (it was cheaper than Fletcher's). Dropped the car off at the night drop, very convenient. The next day was called by Joshua and of course heard of other items that should be addressed. I wasn't hassled to get any more done, very much appreciate that and after I let him crunch some numbers I couldn't pass up getting some (known) oil leaks fixed, gaskets replaced. 12mo 12k warranty. I also contacted four other Honda dealers including one in Avondale near where I work. Two didn't respond to my requests. Of the two that did, pricing was nearly identical but I got a better feeling out of Bell. Josh's description of the work was spot on. I had already done research and knew what needed to be done so any BS tossed my way would've been obvious. The end result is a happy Honda customer. Great all-around service today from Bell Honda on my '08 Honda CRV. Nothing major--brought it in to fix a rattle under my dashboard on passenger side. They found a loose nut & tightened it...said that's all it was, no charge. Had Oil Change, on which they honored $26.95 coupon from a competitive Honda dealer. They also coordinated windshield replacement between my insurance company and local windshield vendor. By end of day, everything was done, my car was ready & washed, new windshield in place and oil changed. I was out of there for just under $30. Special KUDOS to my Service Advisor, George, who got me in same day by 11 am, and out near closing time, after I arrived back at dealership courtesy of their shuttle driver who picked me up at home, to bring me back for my car. Also special recognition for Kim and Dottie in Cashier office, gladly processing my invoice payment by close of business, with great attitude and high-level service. read more

I was hearing noise upon braking so I brought my CR-V in to see if this was the brake indicators. I had my car in for an oil change less than 1,000 miles before and the brakes passed inspection, so I was hesitant to tell them I was concerned about the brakes. I figured of course they would say I needed new ones. However, I didn't want to ignore it and risk expensive rotor repair. I brought my CR-V in the same day and within 30 minutes they let me know I still have 40% left on my front brake pads and 70% left on my rear brake pads. They washed my vehicle, and honored a coupon for free wiper blades. No fights, no false repairs. A great experience. I never write Yelp reviews, but this service deserved one! Originally had an appointment for yesterday for an oil change/general upkeep and had to reschedule for today. They were super nice on the phone and were able to get me in nice and early. Fast forward to my appointment, I get here, pull into the bay, and am greeted pretty promptly. My service tech today was JD. He came out and said he'd take care of everything for me, and it would be about 45 min to an hour. Thankfully breakfast was waiting for me, as they have donuts from Desert Donuts in the waiting area. Right on schedule, my car was done in about an hour. I get a different tech every time, which I like as it allows me to get to know people working with me and on my car. JD Shkolnik is both very friendly and knowledgeable, and I'd be happy to have another appointment with him. read more

All the other dealerships were a bunch of sharks trying to sell us ANYTHING for us to drive off the lot even if it wasn't something I told them I was looking for. Then we met Derrick at Bell Honda! He worked with us to get us into a new 2012 Honda Civic ELX! I have never been so happy with the customer service. I have worked at several dealerships before and I have thought it would take 5-6 hours to get out of there... it only took us 3! They even changed all the settings in the car to my liking before I left and made sure I was happy with the way it looked before driving off the lot! Fixed my car in a timely manner. Then recently my tire went flat. BLATANTLY MISLEADING, RUDE, FALSE ADVERTISING. After receiving a flyer in the mail that I had won one of four prizes, my husband and I stopped into Bell Honda (where we had purchased a certified used Honda two years prior) to claim the prize promised in writing. The flyer said that attending a sales presentation was not required to receive the prize, and that one only had to present the flyer before 9 pm. We were entered into the computer for the promotion at 8 pm and told that we would learn what we had won and be able to try to win other prizes in "a little while." Amicably, we allowed a sales representative to talk with us and show us a Ridgeline, eventually agreeing to a test drive. We were open to the idea of refinancing our vehicle or purchasing another vehicle should it meet our needs and allow us to lower our outrageous monthly payment. We let the sales representative know this from go. To make a long story short, at 10:30 pm we were told that they didn't have a car on the lot they could offer to us with our credit and stipulations (Note: our credit hasn't changed since purchasing a vehicle from this dealership two years prior, when we were told to "come on back in in 6 months to get a better interest rate." More lies - we should have learned our lesson then.) I was OK with this - I understand that although they advertise differently, it isn't always possible to get the customer the price and interest rate they want. But then I was told that in order to receive the prize I had won (according to the flyer), we would have to return tomorrow. And although I had successfully completed my end of the deal (registering before nine, bringing in the flyer and ID, even taking a test drive with the promise of throwing beanbags for a chance to win more prizes) Honda sent me out the door empty handed. I received several phone calls during the days following this incident and assumed it was Honda trying to remedy the situation. Surely the way I was treated was an oversight and something they would be ashamed of, not to mention that I was an existing customer who had already given much more money and time to their business than any prize offered on that flyer would have been worth... Duped again! When I returned the call, instead of an apology, the sales manager, Brandon, asked why I hadn't bought a car from them on Saturday. I couldn't believe it! When I told him what had happened, infuriated that they would dare call me to waste more of my time when 1) they had misled me and wasted my Saturday evening with lies and false advertising, and 2) I was sent away told they couldn't sell me a single car on the lot, he then blamed me for the situation and said, "well, you could have come back on Sunday to get the prize!" So apparently, this is the way Bell Honda treats their existing clients - misleading them both verbally and through the use of false advertising, then being rude and accusatory, just to let us know how important our time, hard earned money, and business is to them. My husband and I regret purchasing from Bell Honda and hope others will head our warning and avoid a similarly DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE. read more

When I moved to Phoenix in 2011 I was driving a 2009 Fit I had purchased in Ohio. I was happy to find a Honda dealer close to home and started taking my Fit there for service. Biggest mistake of my life! In 2013 Bell Honda started calling and telling me they had a shortage of new cars and were interested in buying mine. After multiple calls from them I agreed to take the car in. This resulted in about 5 hours of being hounded to buy a new car. At one point there were several salesman surrounding me, one of them down on his knees with his face only inches from mine. They had my keys and weren't real interested in giving them back. I finally bought the car just to get away from them. A couple years later, the calls started coming again each time from a different sales person. I kept telling them I was happy with the car I had and was not interested in buying a new one and to please remove my name from their call list. The calls kept coming and when it got to three calls in a single week I called and asked to speak with the owner. The owner wasn't in but the girl who answered said she handled the list and would remove my name. Peace at last. I thought. 2018 rolls around and I get a call from Bell offering me a complimentary oil change. I explained that I had a service contract and didn't need a complimentary oil change. The bulldog kept pushing so I finally said okay. Second biggest mistake of my life!! Immediately the sales calls start up again. Explained multiple times that I'm retired, don't drive much, and I'm not interested in buying a new car. As before, the calls continue. Then I learn how to block them on my smartphone. Calls stopped, but then they graduated to texting and e-mailing. I responded to one of the texts that they were harassing me and to stop. Now they've resorted to snail mail. This business is far, far too aggressive! They don't know the meaning of "NO" no matter how many times they hear it. The only reason I can find for the harassment is that they are so aggressive people don't go back to buy a second car from them so they need to beg for business. I expect that long after I'm dead and gone Bell Honda will still be calling the hapless person who gets my phone number after I'm done with it. The only reason Bell Honda gets a single star is because no star is not an option! read more

Moving to the Phoenix area also means having to find a honda service center to get my civic serviced at. I was lucky enough to make an appointment with Bill H. While my car is getting closer to 100000 miles, I do my best to take car of it on a grad student budget. Bill explained to me what services outside of a standard oil change would be expected in the future and actually explained in depth what each was. Most of the time dealerships will just pass me off as someone who doesn't understand how their car functions and Bill didn't make me feel incompetent during the process. I didn't feel forced to make any decisions right there on the spot, which I was again very appreciative about. My car maintenance is important, but I also have budget restrictions which I felt like were understood. They also washed my car! Thanks for understanding that college students are on a budget. I had to leave my car there over the weekend and Josh was very responsive to my calls and emails. He knows his stuff and looks out for his people. I had a really bad experience previously from this service department due to their reps constantly trying to up-sell and lying about warranty protection. For 2, the third time I went in there to sign yet another contract, I saw the finance guy I had the appt. with in the hallway when I was walking in. He shook my hand and said "I'll be right with you." 45 MINUTES LATER I finally went & tracked someone down, and was told he left for the day!!! Wow. Absolutely ridiculous. Just went into Bell Honda to get their lease deal on a new Honda Fit for $2990 down and $99. a month for 36 months! THIS DEAL DOES NOT EXIST! After attempting to sell the "add-ons" that brought the monthly to about $200. a month I was ready to walk out. I started the process at 2:30pm and did not get out of this place until 7:30pm YIKES! Why should it take over five hours to lease a car? It should be simple but the saleperson was saying just take a minute but they all need to have watches as they were as slow as mud turtles to come back. I believe they just wear down the buyer. I would NOT recommend this dealer for any future purchases. I would rather get a root canal than go back to this place. Most disconnected communications I have ever experienced in my life. Someone needs to open a website where a person may order a car on line and the seller delivers it to the buyers address with the paperwork done online. Should take only 1 to 1 1/2 hours at the most! If you are looking for a Honda stay away from this establishment as the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing and the attitude is generally that they don't care if you are spending all day at their place! read more

Well, I learned that I need to check Yelp BEFORE I go places! I, like many of you had one God-awful experience and I just bought my car today! I talked to a sales person on the phone (from Tucson, mind you) and I was told that all cars for sale go through an intensive point check before they can be put up for sale and that the used cars they have are, from what I gathered, "gems". I believed him of course, being infatuated with this car, and they went down on the price $1,000 but absolutely no more than that. I drove to Phoenix to test drive it and **crossed my fingers** to buy it. When I arrived they told me the car was going through the shop, and that day was the first day they could actually sell it (meaning it HADENT EVEN BEEN THROUGH THE INSPECTION BEFORE I ARRIVED). I came back later in the day to test drive and loved the drive. I don't know much about cars, but I know Hondas are good and I was trusting that a dealership wouldn't screw me over--I have yet to find out if that is completely true. They rushed me off to sign the check, and to fill out the paperwork. I felt SO OVERWHELMED with everything. No one was answering my questions straight and they were a few people who were being really sketchy which made my decision near regretful. I went away for the night, left the car on the lot because they promised me they would do a full paint detail, and intensive buff and wax--which I am almost CERTAIN they DID NOT DO. The car was parked in the exact spot I left it the previous day and NOTHING looked different about it's exterior or interior. I was near livid after being in phoenix for nearly three days because of all of this. I drove the car off the lot, got gas--because those pleasant, wonderful, sons from the underworld handed me a car with the fuel light on--it's the little things, you know?! After fueling up, it wouldn't start, nothing would turn on. Can you IMAGINE?!!! I handed them $13,600 and now, THIS?! I called them back, they sent some mechanic "right away", It took him almost 20minutes to get to where I was (5 minutes down the road, Bell & 16th) He messed around with some connecting parts to the battery and it started right away. Well, I was relieved it wasn't a HUGE deal. They took it back, replaced the part, and tightened it while I looked for further help. I talked to three magicians who would otherwise go by the title of a "car sales man". They each told me they would get someone or something (like the promised $25 gas card), and once they left my sight....I never saw them again, hence, the disappearing magicians. Once I finally spoke to the Manager, he was GREAT, he was so kind and so helpful. He got me everything I asked for in a timely fashion, he answered all my questions, he even got down and dirty under the car hood showing me parts, the oil, the new brake pads, etc. I was very pleased with my interaction with him. I drove home in peace, the car was great. I got home, hung out with my boyfriend, fell asleep on the couch, and woke up at 3am to drive home (less than 1.5 miles away) I turned into my neighborhood (the sketchy side of it) and my car DIED, WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. I had no cell phone, I was alone, and I was near the sketchy side with no flashlight, You can see why I, a 22 year old female, was shaken up. I RAN home, plugged in my dead phone, and called my boyfriend to help. We got the car started up and drove it back to the house. BUT, OH WHAT A DAY!!! I don't know what they are going to do since I am now in Tucson...they promised me they would certainly pick up the tab for a shop here in Tucson if anything went wrong again, and I SURE hope they are going to keep their word on this. I am to say the least, whole heartedly dissatisfied. I feel like my worst fear is coming true and that this is quite possibly the biggest mistake I ever made. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. read more

Giving them 1 stars because in the beginning I was speaking to Jake. When we got there a bit early he was with a customer so another guy took over, Tracy. Smelled like smoke and I could barely concentrate on anything. Wasn't friendly, didn't smile, I mean cmon I am buying a car from you guys my first Honda can you be a fit more happy for me? Wish Jake ended up being our sales guy because he looks like he is trying. I have no idea where Tracy was when I was leaving, he didn't say goodbye to me he just disappeared. Thankfully Jake was there to say goodbye and shake my hand. Whole process was 6 hours long, just too long cmon! Came back yesterday the 9th of December, it being the 3rd day of the purchase I would have expected better customer service but boy was I wrong. This is the first time buying a new car by myself and this dealership tricked me. I was given three options of things I want to add like the alarm system or coverage for paint as well as certification. While working with Tracy I told him I only wanted the certification option and he scratched off the other two options and we were good to go. While signing the finance papers it looks like that form for the paint was included in the signing, not sure why they put the paper in there if I said I didn't want that option. It was my fault I ended up signing it without paying attention and it was too late to return. I also signed a couple other forms and the manager was able to throw those out, so I'm not sure why they weren't able to help me with this. It was my fault for not paying attention but it makes them look bad like they did a bait and switch. Usually when a customer says they don't want something that means they don't want it, you don't put the form in the stack of all other forms to sign if the customer doesn't want it and on top of that I was exhausted after six hours, so to me they took advantage of me. They were rude and couldn't even take me into the office to explain all this until I guess I got emotional and finally a manager took me into the office. * Tracy was acting this way because he broke his tooth on a slice of pizza before assisting me. He got written up, the manager told me. WOW! I would think twice about doing business with his dealership because they're into some shady crap. I was charge $400 for something I didn't want and now I'm stuck paying for it. I know I'm at fault for not paying attention but it doesn't make this dealership look any better to trick a young woman and take advantage of my exhaustion and getting another $400 from me. I'll pay this car off and I will never do business with this dealership again. Got a call from Ashley the title girl on the 11th of December to tell me she needs the power of attorney signature from my dad who was the co-signer on the car I traded in. We asked them multiple times when we were there if we needed a signature from my dad and they said "no" multiple times. This dealership has no idea what they're doing!!! Unprofessional, will not be going here to get my car serviced. I will however be coming in once a week....at least, so you can wash my car since I paid that $400, might as well enjoy it! 1/8/2016. It seems like this will never end. Received my license plate that is not the license plate I had on my other car. I waited a month to receive this plate and its all wrong. I had a customized license plate on the car I traded in and I guess they must have forgot or neglected to have me fill out a form, so that I can have the same license plate for my new Honda. Now I have to fill out yet another form to release the license plate. I was working with Melissa, another title clerk and after emailing her back and forth about this form I didn't understand how to fill this form out, so I emailed her asking her what I should do. I couldn't call because during this time I was at work. It was Friday around 3pm when I sent the email and she never replied, I called on Saturday to speak to her and of course she was out of the office and wouldn't be back until Monday. At this point I have had ENOUGH! I went to a expedited service for DMV and paid $50 approximately to get this straightened out. It took them 5 mins to fix this mess that Bell Honda made and I had my shiny license plate ready to go. I emailed Melissa and asked for reimbursement because they should have gotten this done a MONTH ago, couple days later I received a check. Unbelievable! I am in disbelief how this dealership is run. Getting a hold of someone in finance is impossible and no one answers! Why does this have to be so complicated?? So frustrating. This director of customer service or whoever that's replying to all the bad reviews, instead of telling people to call YOU why don't you be a good director and actually call these people instead of acting like you care! read more

I have to say that Bell Honda has won me over when it comes to service. I had it that any dealership was there to take your money, but my Service Advisor Joshua Hansmier has won me over. He has won my trust with his open approach and being thorough. Of course behind him there is a great team of service folks that really took care of my car. If I could rate them zero stars I would!! Horrible service! I took my Honda to Bell Honda to look at a radiator leak that was under warranty. They said it would take an hour. After three hours I called them. Andrew, was not able to explain why there was a leak so he gave the phone to Brian, mechanic for Bell Honda. Brian said the radiator was fine, it was a blown head gasket. Cost would be $1700. When I said no way, he put me on hold. After 8 minutes on hold, Brian came back and said he could replace the head gasket for $989. (his manager was doing us a favor). We opted out of their repairs for a second opinion. When we picked up our car, it took Bell Honda 45 minutes to check us out (they weren't washing it, like they offered to do), and handed us a paper that said they did a courtesy multi point inspection - no mention of a blown head casket. Our second opinion resulted in a loose clamp on the radiator hose - $22, and no head gasket issues. Seems to me they are running some sort of scam to generate revenue! We will never purchase or take our vehicles to Bell Honda, and we are letting family members, co-workers and every one we know the horrible service we received, and the scam they tried to turn.
