Bell Street Burritos is in a peak location right off the beltline. Their food is cheap and they have plenty of seating. I ordered their pulled chicken burrito. It was good but there wasn't a lot of chicken in it - more rice and beans - and the chicken needed more seasoning. I ended up adding a lot of salsa to it to give it flavor. They have a happy hour from 4-7 (I believe) Monday to Thursday which includes a free side of chips & salsa with the purchase of a margarita. All the margaritas, whether frozen or on the rocks, are pre-made so I wouldn't get one if you're looking for a proper margarita. Truly, I don't understand the hype. It wasn't that good. I had a burrito, chicken to be exact. It was more beans than anything. I paid for extra, extra pico...it was extra (probably not x2) and all in one clump inside my burrito. Pico all in one bite...come on, that is burrito making 101. My friend and I stopped here briefly on our way to another establishment nearby. Orders are placed at the register for take out or dine in. There's a brief menu to pick from making it an efficient pit stop. My friend got their Inman park and West End tacos. The order took less than 10 minutes to come out and we're pretty stuffed. As such, the taco itself was more on the wet side which I usually done mine but found it to be a bit much. My boyfriend is Bell Street Burritos biggest fan and shares their social media posts to his feed several times a week. Problem is, we live in New Orleans. Luckily I am the best and we travel to Atlanta several times a year to get one of these burritos. JK. We come to visit family. BUT Bell Street is always worth making a stop. They just know what they are doing, y'all. The standard burrito comes with pinto beans, cheese, salsa, and rice- everything else (including sour cream) is a small extra charge but tbh you don't need anything else. It's simple and it's delicious. And they're VERY big, especially the large size (duh?). They are also nice people, have a nice covered patio and recently opening back up indoor seating. While the food was pretty reasonably priced, which was especially nice for a Belt line location, on the flip side, the food was pretty mediocre and in some cases disappointing. There was very little on the nachos and it seemed silly that our order came with a side of chips that was basically the same as the chips. I was walking the beltline with my son and a couple of his friends and we decided to stop and get some lunch. Bell Street Burritos was on the way so we headed down. They're limiting the inside to only 1 group at a time to place your order, and you wait in line outside in the meantime. The good thing is that you can order online while you wait. My son went with 1 shrimp taco and 1 steak, and I went with the steak & shrimp burrito. His friends actually ordered the same things. I made one of the items a combo so we got chips & salsa along with it. The chips & salsa came out pretty quickly and it was great! They provided 1 green chili salsa that had a nice kick to it and another red salsa with a great smoky flavor. But the star of the show was the burrito! It was delicious!! Excellent portion size, juicy steak, flavorful shrimp, and very well seasoned beans. The only knock is that it does have a lot of rice in it, but it was all very good. I didn't try my son's food, but he said it was delicious as well. Food is great, but they boot your car unless you pay for an hour's worth of parking at this location (Krog Street). I got my car booted today when picking up my online order. I was at the lot for five minutes and got booted. Had to pay $80 to get it removed by the guy lying in wait for me in the garage. Visiting this location is not worth the effort and headache. I was a loyal customer until today. There isn't enough free parking. Two spaces are not enough. And there are no signs to warn you that you'll get booted. Stay away!!! read more

Ordered a steak burrito. This is a basic carne asada taco truck burrito and this place really missed the mark. Burrito was really plain and pretty much consisted of rice, beans, and meat, that's it. It was super plain, had little to no flavor, didn't have salsa on it and I paid $20 for this regular burrito and a bottle coke. I could have gotten the exact same order from a taco truck for $12. For being a burrito place, I was really disappointed at how bland and underwhelming this burrito was. However, to their credit, the steak inside the burrito was really good. My confusion came while sitting for 15 mins watching 5 ppl get their food before me when the only thing I ordered was cheese dip. When I clocked their time being under 5 mins for actual entrees! Bell Street Burritos rates somewhere between three ("A-OK") and four ("Yay! I'm a fan.") for me. This is a local fast-casual Mexican chain with currently three locations: Buckhead, Tucker, and this one in Inman Park. What's cool about this location is it's situated on the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail. It opened in 2016. The restaurant is hidden from street view, tucked away in the Stove Works mixed-use development across from Krog Street Market. Other Stove Works tenants include Rathbun's and Krog Bar. Free self-parking is available for Bell Street Burritos customers in the Stove Works deck, though spots are limited. Additionally, there are a handful of open-air spots reserved exclusively for Bell Street Burritos customers right outside the restaurant. Bell Street is like a local, hipster version of Chipotle. I've been to their old location (now closed) on Howell Mill Road (https://bit.ly/2FDef9Y) and their location on Peachtree Street in Buckhead (https://bit.ly/2uvdNV1). I like Bell Street, though I can't really say I prefer it over Chipotle and Willy's. They're all good and fine to me. This location on the BeltLine is no exception. Bell Street sells burritos, bowls, quesadillas, tacos, and other food like nachos, chili, and tamales (Friday only). They offer about a dozen different protein and vegetable fillings in both corn and flour tortillas. You can expect to spend at least about $7-9 each for most regular sized burritos/bowls, about $8-11 each for most extra-large burritos/bowls, about $6-8 each for most regular-sized quesadillas, about $8-10 each for most extra-large quesadillas, and $3-4 each for most tacos. Tacos come in two styles: green (with onion, cilantro, green salsa) and chipotle (melted cheese, grilled onions, spicy chipotle salsa). There are free toppings like cilantro and onion and there are premium toppings like potatoes and green chiles that cost anywhere from $0.25 to $1.00 per topping. Add $3.75 if you want to make your meal a combo with chips, salsa, and a drink. So you're looking at roughly $15 per person after tax and tip. They have a kids menu, they serve beer, and they offer desserts like sopapillas (deep-fried sweet tortillas) and pops from King of Pops. Breakfast burritos are available Saturday, 11am-2pm. We stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy. The Stove Works as a whole was busy though. There was no parking in the deck, but luckily, multiple Bell Street surface spots were open. Here's what we got: * Guacamole and chips (small for $3.95) * Green taco (onion, cilantro, green salsa), steak, corn tortilla ($3.75) * Green taco (onion, cilantro, green salsa), pulled chicken, corn tortilla ($3.50) * Chipotle taco (melted cheese, grilled onion, spicy chipotle salsa), pork, corn tortilla ($4) * Steak bowl ($8.50) - pinto beans, melted jack cheese, rice, salsa fresca, chipotle salsa, cilantro, jalapeno, onion, green chiles (+$1) In general, the food was consistent with the food I've had at other Bell Street Burritos locations: good, but not great. This place is worth stopping by if you're on the BeltLine and want some quick and casual Mexican food. The small guac serving is really small. If you want to share, I recommend going with a large ($5.95). Bell Street's chips remind me of Tostitos white corn chips, except thinner, crispier, and they're served warm. They're tasty and for me, one of the more memorable tortilla chips around town. The guac was delicious. It would've been nice if the serving size was a bit bigger though. They put pico de gallo on top of their guac to add more flavor and texture. The tacos were fine. All the tacos were served in double-layer corn tortillas. They needed two layers because the inner layer wasn't strong enough to hold the ingredients and salsa. The pulled chicken taco was my least favorite, but it wasn't bad. The steak and pork tacos just tasted better. Portion sizes on the steak were lacking in both the taco and the bowl, so that was underwhelming. As for green taco vs. chipotle taco, go with a green taco if you want a tangier, "fresher" tasting taco and go with a chipotle taco if you want smokier and more savory flavor. Like the tacos, the steak bowl was fine. It was satisfying. It wasn't as filling as a Chipotle steak bowl, but it was filling enough. The ingredient quality was good and I liked the combination of ingredients and flavors. The bowl didn't really wow me though or have me craving more like a bowl at, say, gusto! would. Again, I wish there was more steak. The steak portion seemed too small. Service was great. All of the staff we interacted with were polite and friendly. We dined in, took a number, and our orders were delivered to our table fast. Drinks, eating utensils, and condiments were self-serve. No need to bus your own table here; they do it for you.
